  1. WHY IS IT THAT ROUTINE MEDICAL CHECKS CAN NOT BE DONE LOCALLY?THE CURRENT TREND IS PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE.MAY I SUGGEST THAT THE PRESIDENT PAYS FOR FUTURE TRIPS OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET?

  2. Does the US president have a welcoming party at his arrivals?NO!the most powerful man on earth does not even have mothers dancing for him at the airport!why do we think we should worship the Presidency? Why should people waste time zooming at high speeds around using police bikes when they should be controllin traffic oh i forgot we are poor African country ,we can’t afford expensive police cars, the costs of maintenance are high,we are trying to reduce wasteful spending etc BS

  3. Ignorance is indeed exhibited by yur contributors annonymous and stone breaker. We too have our own values qnd welcoming leaders in our ozn zqy sepqrqtes us from others. Why must we only do things according to someone else?US presidents are not our presidents. As for medicals,we must be proud to give only the best for our leaders, just as the facility is open to other categories of citizens in need.

  4. #3Iwe chi Musonda kalachabe zii uko ku jubeki!! Rabishi wako!!! Do know how pipo are dying of hunger at the expenses Chuchu’s medical review abroad.

  5. Chi Musonda waba umutwe… I didn’t know Zambia had such fools carrying your beautiful name!!!!
Routine medical check up yakwa Mwanawasa ni temperature, BP and a bit of physios. Tell me which clinic can not do that in Zambia?? But the chap uses my TAX to lift his our challenger jet to fly him, with his entire cabinet, to London just for that and you say that is normal? You are amazing………..

  6. Welcome back ba Kateka, however you must be ashamed of yourself seeking medical treatment abroad when UTH and other health facilities are in a deplorable state! Your medical tourism is proving too co$tly, considering you always take a sizeable “delegation” with you including first lady and securty personnel. Musonda #3, I fail to appreciate your logic and all I can say is “Ignorance is bliss…!”, surely no one in his right mind can justify Levy’s medical tourism at the expense of suffering masses! Just because you’re comfortable in Jhb, does’nt mean all is well with your relatives back home!

  7. Can some take these guys to school again pliz! Coz none of these so called leaders ve the mind of the in the center of the logic. Pipo are dying like flies while few guys are enjoying. The money our president has used for his so called medicals cud ve been used to help UTH purchase new stuff. It pains wen one reads papers n see wat zed is going thru. Thats y smart zambians ve left the country coz they re so pissed with the way our leaders tend to be shallow. Pliz pliz can some youth with the head working help out the next generation by confrontaing these issues.

  8. Why fly to Madascar when he could have phoned his counterpart by cellphone of landline and discuss issues that are important for all two peoples? In these days of internet and affordable phones, travels such as this one is a waste of money and proves that there is no financial planning in grz.
    2. Why fly to UK for a medical check-up? Surely taxes money paid by tax-payers for UTH is of the same colour as that abroad! Why not use the institutions that he swore to preside over? Shame!

  9. Ba mwanawasa mwalicilamo you can’t even shy, lyonse kuya umulongo mulenjeba ngamwaya fye na maureen kuti cabipa, muleibwelamo fimo

  10. We have the right to question some of these trips. Is it honeymoon? Has LPM stayed at home for over a month. Some of these trips/meetings he attends can competently be attended by by a district officer from Katete/chadiza/nyimba/petauke. Thats why you have a heard of state being taken to soumo wrestling coz he is not on that govt agenda. It has been boggling my mind why the entire cabinet and deputy ministers see off and welcome the president. The time spent at the airport at the expense of serious national issues is costly to this nation. Fuel and wear and tear of vehicles is another expense, and this country badly needs to serve a ngwee. What culture and values are there in giving that?
