UPND partnership with Norwegian party welcomed

Share

The Southern Africa Centre for Constructive Resolution and Disputes( SACCORD) and Forum For Democratic Process( FODEP) has welcomed the collaboration  of  United Party for National Development UPND and Norwegian International Liberal Party.

SACCORD executive director Lee Habsonde said the collaboration of the two political parties is an important development that will help  UPND  learn  from the Rebel International Party on how to manage conflict within their political party.

He said  local political parties need to learn from these parties how to manage internal political affairs within themselves.

Speaking to ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today Mr.Habasonde added UPND will be a more strengthened party.

Mr. Habasonde however urged other political parties in the country to find such partners who can assist their party to enrich the democratic process in the parties.

FODEP president Stanley Muhango stressed the need for political parties to build capacity such as the  exchanging of  ideas, sharing  of  experiences with other international parties on issues of democratic governance.

Mr Muhango said that it was important for the local political parties to merge with well known international parties that will not bring danger to the country.

He challenged the political parties to strengthen their political parties as a way of knowing how best to run a party and form a good government.

Meanwhile UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma said the party signed a memorandum of understanding MOU with the Norwegian liberal party yesterday with a high power delegation led by their vice president who visited Zambia.

Mr. Kakoma noted that the UPND has entered into a working relationship with the Norwegian Liberal party to work on areas of capacity building between parties.

UPND is a member of the liberal interaction a group of all liberal parties in the world.

  1. Like them or not, UPND is a mature party. Thats what progressive parties do. Not waking up one morning and start promoting Taiwan! Efinshi??

  2. Dont be excited. It depend on what the liberal party is going to feed UPND.Hope they wont impose their policies on our UPND. this is Zambia ka!

  3. Thats sound good though UPND ias no longer a party it used to be wen Andy was president.im sure it is slowly going in darkness like UNIP.Let them just join PF the party of the moment.

  4. Good development ie parties should learn from other political parties in the world. You should extend such partnerships to the Democratic Party of the USA.

We need parties that are constructive rather than opposing for the sake of it. Political parties should be built on idealogies

    Viva Good Governance

  5. I am not too sure this has any relevance to the Zambia context and our opposition parties in abilities to form coalitions to get MMD out.

  6. Does UPND exist? My advice to HH is that first organise the party here in Zambia then start merging with foreign political parties…….. Hahahahahahaha.

  7. No 18. I think having failed in Zed they are hoping to have a revival in Norway. Obama rules!! HH could be PM in Norway soon.

  8. HH,HH,HH, how many times hav i called you oooo. i hope it wont be like congo where Rwanda helped Sr Kabili and now its an open wound fies allover..

  9. With time, generations pass away. With time, the young become mature and will vote. With time, HH will be President of Zambia. Watch this space!

  10. This coach Renard…..sorry just annoyed with football.

UPND and Norwegian ILP operate under diverse political environments. Its like getting a polar bear from Alaska and a rabbit from Chavuma, put them in one cage, and you fold your arms expecting to get positive results.

This MOU is a joke.UPND should should have partnered with an African political party, like one from Ghana, or even within Zambia.I don’t if Norwegians are now conversant with Tonga.

  12. # 26.Gumu Gumu:
African political party?,better our own PF anyway thats your opinion. but the way i look at HH hes more of paper work and that it self is good for leadership thats why …i stop ba LT kutiba ku deleter.

  13. UPND has serious problems most of which have to be addressed internally. The starting point is for them to admit the problems exist, identify them honestly before looking for solutions. If this alliance can help as some form of consultancy in this process, then why not? We should never let an opportunity to learn something pass by.

  14. # 12. Princes vayola, I like that invitation….I wish! #6 Ba Moze, you spoke sense my man. Why get educated if we cant use our education, exposure and connections to better our Zambia. The day Zambian voters will learn to appreciate quality, Zed will move. Smart guys like Matworld-Nice guy, Nine Chale and the rest of you exposed bloggers should be given chance to rule one day….not baka Ponya imwe pilizi napapata!!!!!

  15. #37 Matworld-Nice guy!, its not about who becomes Presido, but about putting together people who are exposed, sincere and have the necessary education to steer our mother Zambia to prosperity. Look at Botswana, while Zed was being ruled by Grade 9s they had graduates and exposed leadership…see where they are now!

  16. 34 Nkosi, Can you be specific what internal problems are you talking about. The partnership is welcome we need interation with international parties for ideas in this democracy era.

  17. hmmm ma bloggers today you have shined no comment is deleted. and let me take this opportunity to compliment bloggers like ba mosse..comonly known as ba Moze, baby c, sera jones, Engine…, ba maureen, Marlyrin, ba maureen, sister, G baby, Lusaka, Matworld-better-guy..and the rest of you that your comments are value to me… :)>-

We promise to be better blogger from now onwards…AMEN

  18. 43.Gumie, we can not force PF to partner with us. Actually PF has more internal problems with it’s leadership. How do we partner with PF when PF does not want to change the supreme law of the land through the NCC? Any party is free to associate with any organisation so long there is mutaul understanding.

  19. Engine Bbuloko

Very right my dear.It pained me when I discovered that malawian currency is stronger than ours.

  20. Guys.

Sorry to interupt you we need your help.come to the headline where there,s kapenta.that is if you dont mind.

  21. #49, 48, 47 and all of you that feel the pain about Zambia’s self inflicted problems, we have a challenge to change the mind set of our fellow citizens. E.G, how can guys at FRA fail to plan maize consumption in Zambia as if suddenly Zambian started consuming so much kabwali than expected? To carelessly endanger food security is to endanger National security and the whole FRA top brass should have been fired. We have to stop accepting mediocrity at all leadership levels. All our neighbours save for Congo have better economies than us WHY???? I leave this question to your high calibre minds to digest! when 2011 comes, ask yourself this question again….

  22. nkosi you are spot on.UPND must address its internal problems and the tribal issue.I dont know whether this Norwegian party understands african politics very well if so there help is most welcome.

  23. mwamona mwe bantu? ba rupiah now says he is forgetful because of old age, we told you to vote for hh, you see now u get people forgeting there is a global crisis, SOS

  24. Ba Moze
For the first time you are acting completely useless. How do you go and form a pact with a foriegn party with its headquaarters many miles away from you, when you have failed to do so with parties just next to you. There is nothing UPND is going to learn from that party, mind you African politics have a completely taste to that of the west and others. The only benefit they are going to get probably is financial support and nothing else.

  25. Where on earth have you head of such political party pertnership.I will understand if you say they are lobbyind for financial assistance.

  26. Zambian President

Are you sure about that jibe at me? You forget that your party President sata had a pact with a ruling party in Taiwan!! What are you talking about?? Remember sata was flushing cash given to him by those Taiwanese chaps?? Ba Zed Presido, Mwaitaya. Infact, you owe me an apology.

Am trying to have a progressive debate with Zed President. What has gotten into you kanshi? My english is not like yours. can you please stop moderating me and lay off? Nalafileka ka?

  29. but okey ba HH we are here and we shall see where this whole thing will lead us, one thing i like about HH its his ability to do things in a mathematical way paliba brain i think ba Sata balimonafye HH ali 20 steps ahead “mukulondolola”..plans.

  30. UPND that is a step in the right direction. Be open minded and learn from others. Locking ourselves up will not help anyone as the old adage goes, “umwana ashenda atasha nyina ukunaya.” it is a pity that some average Zambians do not appreciate such gestures. That is why Africa and Zambia in particular we are where we are. So far behind other nations. Keep it up UPND, oneday God willing Zambians will be in their right frame of mind when voting and do what is right for every Zambian. VIVA HH HH.

  31. Good thinking from the UPND leadership,we need to import some Maturity from countries like Norway into Zambian Politics, its been long overdue.Bwana Gumu Gumu!!! hopefully they will find a party in Africa with a level of Maturity that we need, note Charles Kakoma has said they are also members of the libral parties of the World,it only means these guys in UPND know what they are doing by playing their games at an international level!!! To hell with Your PF ideolgies Bwana Gimie=43 if at all you have any!!! Soon you will start applausing Siulapwa!!! comparing him to intelectuals in Upnd.

  32. 84. Things fall apart, you are talking the talk keep the spirit burning. We shall make change Zambians need in 2011. VIVA UPND VIVA gentlereman HH

  33. It is clear that UPND is making a step away from the usual. Please note that I personally will not say it is a step in the right direction yet. It can be a step in the right direction or in the wrong direction depending on how they move forward with the interaction.
There are a lot of things that the two parties can share with each other. But the better beneficiary of the two will be the one that will carefully study and understand their own political environment and undertake ti pick only those ideas from the other party which have ability to blend in their environment.
A slight negligence on the part of nay of the two and trying to do a copy-paste approach could prove extremely fatal.

  34. #85 Thanks for the compliment. I long for the day when as Zambians we shall see which side our bread is buttered. Look at the mess we are in because of our cheap politicking of supporting our kinsmen even when we know they have nothing to offer. Let us mature and choose leaders based on merit.

  35. Connie!! thats the spirit, its seems most Zambians are getting used to this try and eror Leadership, what HH and the Upnd are doing is preparing themselves when time comes for them to be at the helm of the Government, they are already setting their foot in international waters, these politics of Morgan In Zimbabwe and Zuma in South Africa really what can you learn from their!!! So Bwana Mansa, lets pray that this pact succeeds for the Better of not only Zambia but Africa.
Village Concept thanks for the compliments,i have the confidence we will overcome the doubts

  36. Busy pleading for Norwegian scholarships for their children in the name of partnerships…we know these things. Go cheat those in Gwembe and Sinjembela not us! What UPND needs is direction and home not those oversees infatuations. There is nothing this partnership will do to strengthen UPND’s grassroot base. In fact, it will only benefit the top brass ie children scholarships and funds. Its now exposed! these chaps had to chop the ‘transparent and accountable’ Tiens Kahenya so that their stooge can be siphoning party donations. Just wait and see!

  37. Am not sure people like HH would be pleading for scolarships for his children. I think it more honarble to give credit where it is due.

  38. 94…Is HH the only one in the UPND top brass? Granted! He can’t pleade for a scholarship for his children but he can facilitate for others to gunner internal support particularly now when their are intra-party squabbles. See beyond HH….in any case, what makes you think HH is immune to crookedness? His wealth accumulation is an open book my dear and he is far from claiming transparency and honesty. The mess is Luanshya now is just one of the many burdens that will accompany him to his grave. Don’t paint him as an ANGEL.

  39. “SACCORD executive director Lee Habsonde said the collaboration of the two political parties is an important development that will help UPND learn from the Rebel International Party on how to manage conflict within their political party.”

LT is it Rebel or Liberal in the quotation above. Anyway, I have trust in the whole National Management Committe of the U-Team (UPND) that what they have done is excellent for party in particular and Zambia as a Nation in general. The U-Team is really a ‘way forward’ in tune with the Nation.

  40. I am not painting anyone an angel. All I am saying is that we should try and see good in others not just in ourselves. When a good move or thing is done by your enemy appreciate it without necesarily being prejudiced by you conceptions of the person. About the Luanshya issues you seem to have proof that HH dealt crookedly why don’t you give that evidence to the right people for that way you will be making a contribution towards making Zambia a better place. Why should you hold on to such import information if you are a well meaning person.

  41. 95 musange and 96 Mossad-Kgb, thanks for calling, I will be back after some time to provide a great comment. I will be attending presentations of assignments that our (students) individual groups will give starting 14:00 hrs. In the meantime, I have to be part of my group comprising of about 9 members of which 3 (initial decision) or 4 (one more inclusion) will give out our material.

  42. LUBINDA FOR PRESIDENT. while i THINK UPND WILL BE A STRONG OPPOSITION PARTY I DONT SEE THEM GETTING IN COZ THEY ARE RATHER tribaly oriented especially at the top. ONE OF THE REASONS I LIKE PF IS THAT IT IS A RATHER DIVERSE PARTY WERE PEOPLE ARE THERE BECAUSE THEY have common interest and MY MAIN DISLIKE IS SATA, however if sata were to step down from presidency…I WOULD EVEN RESPECT THE PARTY MORE. PROBLEM WITH ZED POLITICS IS FILLED WITH SELF INTEREST HH IS EDUCATED but sometimes people tend to think they r better than other people.

  43. #97 Mukelabai….you sound so bitter, be a gentleman…I think # 94. Connie has a point. HH soliciting for a scholarship please! Do you even know that there are no tution fees in Norway for most schools? all you need is living expense and incidentals. That bitterness will not help. By the way, I hope you dont mean to say Sata is better… :))

  44. Parties will only become strong if they cease to be utuntemba. As long as PF and UPND continue to be dictated to by they presidents, they will always be weak and irrelevant. There needs to be a separation between trustees and the parliamentary party. The parliamentary party (MPs and President) should be answerable to the trustees, who are in turn answerable to the party membership and funders. Instead of which Sata and Hichilema are not answerable to anyone in practice.

  45. #103. Mukwa ginger brandy lets stop cheating on LT. Which of the two, UPND and PF has a more regionally balanced executive? dont tell me you have fallen prey to propaganda. Give us a list of UPND executive and also for PF so we do the numbers here….stop illusions my brother….lets be real.

  46. is it reble party?,hichilma’s 23 billion is finnished through campaigns,so he needs someone to fund upnd.

    Good move anyway.

  47. #106 I am sorry to raise something that always irritates me. It seems common amongst Zambians to conflate the words LIE and CHEAT. I think you meant ‘… lets stop lying on LT …’ I have noticed that even newspapers do this. Another thing I have noticed is the misuse of the term APPARENTLY – I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. Sorry to go off-topic.

  48. 104…If I point out someone’s wrongs that does not make me bitter or their enemy. Why is that people are so sensitive whenever the UPND topic is discussed on this blog? Lets not have taboos…the same manner we undress and offload date on Sata and RB should be done on HH. And criticizing HH does not make me PF or MMD. Far from it! That kind of classification is primitive and undemocratic. Number 100..why must I view matters just like you? Excuse me! If you are impressed with the partnership, I am not..because I look at Zambian politics and politicians in particular differently. I see beyond my nose.

  49. :)) :)) #109 Mukelabai, we are only asking you to give us more data to back your stance. Check my posting at 106 and respond. Meantime have a nice day Bro.

  50. 105 Chitapankwa…I respect your reasoning and am glad that you are sending a double barreled one. Zambian political parties need to look beyond Presidents. That applies to both UPND and PF. UPND wouldn’t be limping the way its doing presently had the late Mazoka been answerable to someone. The same applies to PF…I see it reaching rock bottom even surpassing UPND when Sata kicks the bucket. Call me names but that’s just the reality.

  51. Hey Mukelabai my man, did you get my apology yesterday? How are you today. Nice to see you back and blogging

  52. My brother Mukelebai you win partner. We seem to be on different wavelengths. Am not in any way asking you to think like me. All I am saying is please help Zambia by producing evidence about HH’s crookedness so that even us who seem to think that he is a credible character can revist our perceptions of him.

  53. #49 Imagine the Malawian Kwacha is stronger than our Kwacha.

    #82 HH BIG JOKE

#103 Exactly. Sata should step down.

As for me, fellow Zambians the next president is yet to form a very strong political party

  54. Connie i like the way u are coming out,if only we had a thousand of your type am sure zambia would have been a better place by now in terms of development.

  55. #
    116. your flag Mukelabai, mucwani muchaha or kiyezeli? Just of the sake of knowing if you do not mind, what are you doing in Zimbabwe – with regard to your flag?

Why are you are serious dissident of the UPND’s president HH just like the Undereducate Zambian presidential hopeful, MC Sata, is a dissident of the MMD GRZ including our President personally?

    =====
    LT 2008 Award Winner. =;.

  56. 93. Bo Mumukelabai Sha, I got your sentiments, organising grass root is a top agenda for UPND while forming uniting with experianced political parties overseas is another step in the right direction. As we move towards grobalisation political parties needy to share notes. Otherwise we respect your sentiments. Lwatumela sha.

  57. As UPND supporters on this Blog we normally give correct views not biased, we accept negatives from people like Bo Mukelabai. One day Bo mukelabai will catch the vision of UPND under the current leadership of HH then his tone will be positive. One Zambia One nation. 2011 think positive and vote wisely.

  58. Umwana ashenda atasha banyina ukunaya (a child who has never tasted the neighbour’s food thinks his/her mother is the best cook in the world. This appears to apply to every situation that brings issues of partnership into question. Is there anything wrong with a Zambian marrying a Norwegian or vice versa? No!Is there anything wrong for the UPND to learn the way Norwegian politics are played, especially in the eyes of the political parties it has partnered with? Nothing at all, this is intended for the benefit of the parties and the people these parties seek to serve. This is my view. But let’s look at what prompts such partnerships. I doubt it’s about ganging up to remove the MMD from

  59. power or worse still to oust the Norwegian ruling party? I don’t think this is the object of that partnership. So is partnership only acceptable to bloggers only when it involves the PF? Let’s be judicious in our comments lest we might shoot a bright idea.

  60. i dont see anything wrong with this partinership. those who are against, any proper reasons for being negative? or it just out of hate for UPND?

  61. 124, Bo Mwendanjangula, I like the name i heard about this name when i was in the village 30 years ago. your comments are fantastic. We only think about partnership when there is business deals old thinking.

  62. 125. Mbo, True what you are saying only those when the hear about UPND they want to vomit are the ones opposing.

  63. UPND is one of our “clean” parties. Why go get even cleaner when African politics are all about mud slinging, dirty linen in public, kachepa, insele, rigging and vote buying?

Watch your locals and learn one or two underhand methods here and there. Spread a rumour like RB did that your opponent will deport Chinese, Nationalize the mines (ehem…) and bring socialism.

Organize drink ups for your cadres, that way they will scream your name louder than than your opponents, they will sing of you with passion and tears flowing from their eyes. Not fi eloquence and complex workable plans you are used to. Do those when in office.

  64. 128. We want to change how african politics are done. We belong to corporate world not kaponya type of running the affairs of the party. Big people think big not chekelako type of running the affairs of the party.

  65. Hello Bloggers, Have a good Weekend. Someone should ask the LT 2008 Award winner, Maestro Hhehhehhe to comment on this one. He knows the stuff like the back of his hand!!!!!

  66. Cont: from # 130
Unfortunately the Holy hours of the Sabbath has begun, he might not be available for comment just yet, Goodluck everyone

  67. #SACCORD executive director Lee Habsonde said the collaboration of the two political parties is an important development that will help UPND learn from the Rebel International Party on how to manage conflict within their political party.

..Rebel international Paty. I think we have to be carefull with this international rebel organization.

#WHEN IS SATA SIGNING A MOU WITH TAIWAN?? Any one with ifo??

    :-w:-w:-w:-w

  68. 130. and 131. your flag AlfredT greetings, thank you and spot on. I was just considering whether it will be worthwhile to leave a comment just now – that the Holy Sabbath hours are fast approaching. I have a few minutes and so, I will quickly scribble something before I focus on cooking and later welcoming the Sabbath.

Firstly, I would like to thank those that are accusing the UPND president HH of having engaged himself in dishonest ways during the sale of Zambian mines under the privatisation initiative that was taken by the MMD Chiluba Administration of which the Undereducate, PF/MC Sata, was very much part as Minister and MMD NEC member.
    =====
    LT 2008 Award Winner. =;.

  69. 133 continued.
As others have already alluded to, I will like to re-echo the message that please whoever has evidence on president HH having dishonestly done something criminal while carrying his solemn duties for our great Nation to kindly submit the evidence to the police or file for a court case in our judicial system.
Secondly, The U-Team has from time to time shown maturity and leadership on the Zambian political scene. The party has enjoyed partnership with well respected political parties in this world that we live. This generally explains why the UPND is conducting its politics in the most progressive way giving critical and timely advice, and most constructive criticism to GRZ.

  70. UPND 8-|out to source means of taking the 44 year old sovereign nation back into the hands of the colonial masters that our so called freedom fighters wasted their energies and lives about.;)

Alamuleumfwa mwebana!!! You mean you can NOT see? Where have you ever seen the Rich white man getting interested in the poor black man’s affairs without strings attached?

  71. 134 contined.
Politics, especially Zambian, are not meant to be those of stone thrown as if we are in the period of fighting to independence from colonial rulers of our land or even being constant, consistent dissidents like the Undereducate, Micheal Chilufya Sata, just to win hearts of ill-informed and propaganda believing characters who are mostly tribal by nature.
The might UPND has done a good thing by affiliating itself to this international political in-turn obtaining rare insights from a system that works in an advanced economy whether national’s basic needs are respected to the core. This is the way to go instead of joining dissidents in the name of Micheal C Sata against GRZ.

  72. Ba Mose
I never apologise to people, that is my weakness, especially when am presenting issues objectivelly. For your information,i do not support any political party in this country,so stop appointing an accusing finger at me.What i was trying to underscore is that, the political culture, structure and organisation in Africa is different from that of the west.I will only agree with you if you tell me that Hichilama wants to became a political parasite like Sata.

  73. 136 continued.
What is there to learn from PF/MC Sata except confusion in running a party without elections for 7-8 years to choose National leaders for acceptably normal organisation, insults of the highest order on the sitting MMD GRZ, thinking that the Lozi people can be cheated like newly starting talking babies with sweet talk of bring back the Barotse Agreement case on the table while as Minister Without Portifolio you failed to do that, instigating Kaponyas to machete fello Zambian Citizens when trying to r a p e the Zambian Constitution by advancing a 3rd Term bid for Chiluba, not wanting to correct the flaws in our current Zambian Constitution so as to be a DICTATOR on winning?

  74. 138 cont’d.
    The list is probably endless.
On another note, why are PF cadres and Imagebuilders trying so hard to belittle the UPND and the U-Team’s capacity to form GRZ without a useless marriage of convenience with PF aimed at getting MC Sata to State House as our President? Please, PF in all your form, try to win hearts of Zambian voters instead of asking the U-Team to join you for a selfish purpose of getting that tired man MC Sata to be Zambia President using the UPND’s popularity and resourcefulness.I would have loved to write more, but the good Lord’s hours have to be respect and so take careful care you all. Let us build Zambia constructively instead of perpetuate false accusations.

  75. 139 continued.

Until the next time. Otherwise, I wish the UPND success, prosperiey and health politicking this 2009 and in the future future.

  77. I seem to recall that UPND used to get money from the British Liberal Democratic Party, which considered UPND as a sister party (ideologically). However, after the passing of Ba Mazoka this came to a stop because the British Liberal Democrats were not happy with how the succession issue was handled. I suppose this is another way of raising the badly needed funds. I am afraid they will need to demonstrate that they are a democratic party. Otherwise they will be dumped again.

  78. We are asking you as a Zambian despite your Party affiliation to go to Lusaka Times and sign the Petition,Call relatives, friends and all the Zambians you know to go and make their voice known by signing the petition. It has been 24 hrs since the petition drive started and less than 100 Zambians have signed the petition we need 50,000 – 100,000 signatures. We are counting on your petition.

  79. its amaizing how zambians oppose without carefully looking at both sides of the coin. we have major complex issues. i think this is a good move as UPND has alot to learn of course not all they will learn is applicable but what is useful can be taken while other infor may be relevant in the future.unlike zambia, politics in the scandinavia can be followed as way back as 150 yrs and most countries have atleast 2 strong political parties with a reputation and traceable record for at least 80yrs and members dont defect anually like in zambia.our polital leaders need exposure and new ideas.its high time we learned mature politics not lyonse insulting each other.give people data and options to make

  80. choices.if we can have two strong parties and afew weak ones, the party in govt will always be busy working unlike what we see where politcians often loose focus and become too comfortable misusing state resources.

  81. Hmmm!! if really what people say about HH was really true, like the way bo Mukelebai seem to know<i wonder how this young Politician manages to survive from the venom Sata has!!! lets be realistic gentlemen, Sata would not allow the young man HH to run if at all he had dented hands. The issue of Partnership seems to scare people, but guys lets be serious and let a good idea come to fruitation, give the UPND a chance to be pioneers and the issue of Mazoka cant it rest once and for all?? the man did his part and may his soul rest in enternal peace. lets give credit were its due and HH despite the mudslinging he has encountered he has managed to keep the party a force to rekon with.

  82. #135. SweetZed,
That comment is very absurd!!! i like your contributions but this one,am sorry you dont have my support!!!!!
Think before you betray the respect you enjoy

  83. If only people could see that HH is the only one who can bring a change to zambian politics at the moment, then we will be home and right, but the problem is that when you are educated and doing well you do not have a lot of friends epecially among the also called educated coz this is thmost jealous group of our society today, all they are concerned about is where you live, what car you drive, what job etc. if all the people who have had a graduation in their live united with hh, we can make a charge, why sould we have someone who is 72 lead us in the 21 cent, guys let us wake up and make a change we are all zambians not tribes.

  84. #I think some people just have issues with HH’s success. Please, learn something from him and not to hate him. HH is a clean man he has made it open to all the people who may be interested to investigate him from the time he appeared on the political scene. Those who understand how our african governments work will agree with me that these politicians when they are there on top do not listen to anyone, especially when you are not part of them the way HH was in that privatisation programme. Before Mazoka died, a clean person should lead upnd and HH was the most clean person. The day HH will take over zed things will change.

  85. The problem we have as zedians is we listen much to those who can copy and make much noise than action. If sata can convince me why he did not resign from that MMd mismanagement of resources and the Chawama machete scandle on morale ground then I will never give him a listening ear. PF itself is a good party but Sata himself is a stambling block. Sorry, pf guys I have to say this Sata is the least person zed can have.

  86. Whats this appearing under Maestro? LT 2008 award winner!
What does LT take into account to give an award?
Is it the number of times that someone has been on this blogg or logical thinking?
Maestro is a cleaner in the UK.
Most times his comments are not logical and always confrantation.
That simply shows that transmission of impulses in his cables(nerves)is accompanied by short circuits.
    Let me hear from LT.
May be this psychic has just proclaimed himself without LTs authority.

  87. My observation of late is that, people with a lot of garbage in their heads have nowhere to dump it apart from using this site. Please, it is cardinal that the site is utilised for honest and constructive means than dumping it with a lot of garbage which is unnecessary. Leave HH alone because his head is not full of garbage as is the case with some of you.

  88. HEY, you should forgive mukelabai for his sentiments. he is behaving like us bembas. You bembas wants to belong to them not others .Just to remind u Sata at one point, during Chiluba era, said no one can rule this country apart from a bemba. So he can’t believe levy ruled,RB is ruling and next HH can also rule. What mukelabai is talking about rubbish. The hatred comes because saki lost to HH. Now to challenge mukelabai about his allegations let him go to the task force on corruption, not put mud on a clean person. The task force is now 5yrs of existence, what is so special about HH not be probed?

  90. Mwanaa Mukelabai waitaya, that’s day light cheating. You know sometimes if u don’t know u better shut-up. Your hatred for HH comes beacause Saki lost to HH.You behave us bemba who believe that everything should belong us. During Chiluba era, Sata said no one can rule this country apart from a bemba. Now to challenge your allegetions ,the task force on corruption is now 5 – 7yrs of existence, they have investgated him,and found him clean,so if u nothing write on this column,u better leave intellectuals to do the right job.

  91. 157. Chomba, the fact that MC Sata said that “no one can rule this country apart from a bemba” is what made to to write that the man is that greatest or biggest tribalist I have ever seen and heard of on the Zambia soil. He was recorded as having said that Chiluba had placed Bembas on strategic positions to control Zambia.

Let some/any sensible JOURNALIST ask the Undereducate Micheal Chilufya Sata to explain his statements and actions while he was in the MMD Chiluba Administration.

The Undereducate can cheat a few people, who are not properly informed, but never me until he apologises for the mess he did in the past.

  92. HOW DOES THAT TRANSLATE IN BALLOT TERMS? DOES IT MEAN INCREASED VOTES TO HOUST MMD. WHY NOT JOIN WITH PF-THAT WOULD MAKE POLITICAL SENSE. IF ITS STANDARDS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, DON’T GO FURTHER THAN BOTSWANA. IT BE POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, ETC.
