President Rupiah Banda is this Wednesday expected to hold a press conference at State House to address various issues affecting the nation.

This is according to a statement released to ZANIS by his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Dickson Jere in Lusaka today.

Mr. Jere said the media briefing is expected to begin at 10:30 hours, adding that members of the diplomatic corps and accredited journalists should be seated by 10:00 hours.

He also stated that journalists, who wish to cover the press conference, should contact the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) for accreditation and clearance.

Since he came into office in November last year, President Banda has held only one press conference.

He could just redeem himself as a true statesman by admitting mistakes and laying out an impecable vision for the country’s recovery/prosperity and re-aligning his adminstration to deliver……….or he could just finish himself off by behaving the way he did last time in front of his cadres. My advice to him he should not touch Dora at all.

  25. It is believed that he will tell the nation that he is stepping down due to his knee operation. It is believed doctors in Zambia and South Africa have cautioned him to reduce adding pressure on the knee. He is expected to call for fresh elections as a result.

He distanced himself from FTJ, and clearly showed he was against corruption by speaking out on this dengarous vice. You RB jas not demonstrated this.   67. I miss Levy sometime. Levy was different from all the preisdents. 1. He was not arogant 2. Levy could stand up to Mugabe and tell him to his face that he was doing a wrong thing 3.
