Sata can’t be trusted — Chief Chisunka

Share

PF leader Michael Sata with his cadres

LUAPULA Province Royal Foundation chairperson Chief Chisunka has said Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata cannot be entrusted with power because of his alleged inconsistencies on matters of national interest.

Chief Chisunka said yesterday his subjects were worried about Mr Sata’s constant shifting of positions and cited his changed stance on former president Fredrick Chiluba.

He said his subjects could not continue to listen to Mr Sata whom he described as a chameleon and wondered why he now called Dr Chiluba a thief.

Chief Chisunka said he was surprised why Mr Sata changed his stance after he promised to drop charges against Dr Chiluba when he supported him in 2006 elections.

“What has changed now that Dr Chiluba is called names, is it because he is supporting his political opponents. Mr Sata should be fair,” Chief Chisunka said.

The traditional leader also wondered why Dr Chiluba’s case was linked to President Banda who was neither judge nor lawyer in the case.

Meanwhile, Bweengwa Member of Parliament (MP) Highvie Hamududu has said PF vice-president Guy Scott and the secretary general Winter Kabimba should be disciplined for issuing statements against Mr Hakainde Hichilema.

Reacting to calls that the UPND should discipline the national youth chairperson Joe Kalusa for saying the pact has no action plan and that the MMD would win the 2011 elections, Mr Hamududu said PF officials were in the forefront of undermining the pact.

“What Kalusa is saying is that the pact needs a joint action plan. We need a proper joint manifesto. So if they want him (Mr Kalusa) punished Dr Guy Scott and Mr Kabimba must also be punished,” he said.

He said the pact needed a workable plan of action before a presidential candidate can be selected.

“That is the problem in Africa, we want to concentrate on the presidency. For now we must focus on developing a joint plan of action and strategy. Zambians want change and this can only be achieved through a united opposition.

“The issue of the presidency can be discussed later because either Mr Sata, Mr Hichilema or somebody else can be the pact president,” he said.

The Bweengwa MP maintained there was need for the PF to treat the UPND as an equal partner in the pact.

When contacted for comment Mr Kabimba refused to comment.

Mr Kalusa has been under fire for saying the MMD will win the 2011 election because it has a good working manifesto compared to that of the PF-UPND Pact, which has no clear set programmes.

PF national youth secretary Eric Chanda has called for the resignation of Mr Kalusa from the pact.

And UPND Copperbelt chairperson Elisha Matambo has said Mr Hichilema was promised votes for presidency by the people of Zambia for the 2011 general elections.

Mr Matambo said yesterday that Mr Hichilema was a better candidate to contest the 2011 presidential elections on the PF-UPND Pact because he was promised votes by the Zambians.

He said most people of North-Western, Western and the Copperbelt provinces promised Mr Hichilema of their votes in the 2011 elections and the promises had started bearing fruit.

Mr Matambo said this could be seen from the two constituencies in the North-Western Province that the UPND took from the MMD.

The UPND had scooped 20 of the 24 ward by-elections it contested in the three provinces.

  1. Sata has shown his true colours, I would advise UPND to ditch the pact and go on their own even if they cant win the presidency. Their time will come but Sata will be too old to run again finito.

  2. Mr. Sata has said over and over that after his reconciliation with Levy, the late revealed a lot on information to him regarding FTJ hence his shift in position.

Guy Scott has not done anything wrong, all he did was tell Zambians what we already know Mr Sata got twice the number of votes HH got in 2008. Maybe he copied and pasted from ECZ website, is that indicpline? No. But Kalusa stated the pact in visionless, you can not compare the two actions.

  3. You UPND fellows make interesting reading. When Chizyuka raised these things when the pact was formed what did you call him a sell out, hired gun by MMD. So now that you are raising the same issues about consolidation of the pact, are you also hired guns. UPND should be sincere in this pact, and agree with us who say this deal was brokered between top brass, grassroots who matter more were not properly consulted. That is why today PF can not respect UPND becoz UPND has gone agsinst the deal that was brokered. A house should be built on strong foundation, you should have listened to Chizyuka, but now you can correct the situation by listening to Kalusa. Ignore him at your own peril. PF will never see you as equals because you are not. PF is more popular and bigger than you.

  4. Chisunka or No Chisunka Ifwe ni pa Bwatooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We shall definately have the last laugh

  5. I agree with the issues raised by the chief 100%. Sata is a proper chameleon. He can not claim that he changed his mind about Chiluba when Levy revealed some classified information to him. This is deception at it’s best and no sane Zambian can buy that. Sata, a former police constable, was Chiluba’s right hand man for 10 years. He was eating, dining and stealing with Chiluba all those years, how can he claim not to know anything? Is he an i.d.o.t for him not to realise that he was sleeping with a thief all along? If he was soo dull as not to know Chiluba was a thief what chance has he of catching theives that are not close to him? This man is a pathetic lair and not fit to be president!

  6. I have said it time and again that Sata is good only as an opposition, we shall keep him as an attack dog period! As a president of zambia………………. naaaaaaaaaaaaaada!

  7. Sata is better than RB coz he is flexible & can change his position when he knows he is wrong. He cannot be the most consistent leader but he is the best option available to go into state house. He is patriotic, able to deliver & has a plan. RB never had one & can’t develop one. sata was opposing Levy, but when he saw that Levy was on the right track, he changed his position, which is mark of wisdom. You just dont stick to your position even if it was wrong. Whatever the case, i would trust a man who reflect & change his position than a mad one who sticks to madness consistently & persistently. As for now none makes RB shiver & shadder apart from sata. While some rural pockets of Zambia sympathise with RB, urbinised, informed & Cosmopolitan zambia continues the song ‘VIVA SATA- viva PF!

  8. “Bweengwa Member of Parliament (MP) Highvie Hamududu has said PF vice-president Guy Scott and the secretary general Winter Kabimba should be disciplined for issuing statements against Mr Hakainde Hichilema”.

Reacting to calls that the UPND should discipline the national youth chairperson Joe Kalusa for saying the pact has no action plan and that the MMD would win the 2011 elections, Mr Hamududu said “PF officials were in the forefront of undermining the pact”.

  9. I have come to notice that this LT online news is actualy a PRO MMD news forum for what ever reason 95% of all news reported is so for MMD and any opposition news is always negetive stuff .
i thought having the times of zambia and daily mail was enough and now we have LT this is bul@#$it

  10. When did Sata ever become patriotic to this country when he worked for bamusa betraying and opposing Chachacha and its independece struggles? Is it when he started concessioning our land to apartheid Boers and Taiwanese for camapign finances. Recall that his confisticated SA R27,000 at Oliver Tambo airport is still unclaimed with the SA buteko 5 years on.

  11. KABUDULA BAMBA,

When Veteran and SC wakes up, they will tell you off that no body sent you an invitation card to blog here. Their advise is that you are free to start your own blog where you want to carry all PF insele classes.

  12. Changing political positions like a chameleon in accordance with changing political weather is a sign of dishonesty and inconsistency. A principled man sticks to what they think is right whether it makes them unpopular or not. A true leader leads his people in the right direction against any storms they encounter. Yes RB is not the best option and to be honest choosing between Sata and RB is like making a choice between two identical twins with similar behavior. They both belong to the old political school and it’s time for them to retire. HH is the man for now otherwise I would rather maintain RB than choose Sata and I am sure a lot of voters think the same. The old man Sata should just admit it that his time is up, there is no chance of him being president in 2011.

  13. When I was on holiday in Zambia ( July-August), I noticed that most of the people who work and those living in town are for Sata as next president. A few of them that I talked to highlighted the fact that RB is being retrogressive in many ways and has failed the nation. Even my close relative who was a strong MMD supporter had changed his mind that come 2011 its Sata. Infact most of the registered voters will be going for PF. Its a sad story and ending for MMD!

  14. THATS WHAT ALL EXPECTS FROM THESE COMPROMISED CHIEFS SUCH AS CHISUNKA HIMSELF, CHITIMUKULU AND ALL THOSE WHO ARE ON THE RECEIVING END OF BROWN ENVELOPS. CHISUNKA UNFORTUNATELY, FOR YOU PEOPLE DECIDED. IT’S A POINT OF NO RETURN. NI PACT NA PABWATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COME 2011. AFTER PEOPLE KNOW THAT DEVELOPMENT IS ONLY IN CHIEFS POCKETS.

  15. Chisunka Chitimukulu Puta are all developing their pockets using brown envelops from mmd, so people should not take them seriously

  16. No. 20: You must have had a lot of time to waste for you to interview every working Zambian in towns and conclude that they are for Sata. Anyway keep dreaming, the people in the cities are not the only voters. There are a lot of rural voters who decide who should be president and most of them are conservative voters and fortunately enough they do not like Sata.

  17. Imfumu yansala! People do not appreciate the fact that backflips are a honourable way to live, unless you always look at things the same. We always change our mind and positions depending on circumstances. He should stop talking about his subjects because thts his position and not of the subjects

  18. PF without UPND are finished. Sata will never see state house. Lets see who really is desparate for state house SATA or HH. Mind you HH still has age on his side, how about SATA. After these elections he will be a spent force.

  19. IN FACT CHIEF SHOULDN’T BE RESPECTED AND TRUSTED NOWADAYS. THEY HAVE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO SINK SO LOW BY LINING UP FOR BROWN ENVELOPS. REMEMBER KUMU TMBOKO AT CHIEF KAZEMBE’S PALACE- UTUFUMU TWALETANTAMINE LOOSE CHANGE FROM KATUMBI, CHRITORIS (correct me for the first name) MWANSA, etc.

  20. WHILE I DISAGREE WITH PARDON OF FTJ, I DO AGREE WITH THE OBSERVATION MADE BY OUR CHIEF, SATA FOR SURE IS A CHAMILEON AND MUST NEVER BE INTRUSTED WITH OUR NATION,WE ARE NOT THAT DOCILE LIKE MOST UNEDUCATED KAPONYAS AND VUVUZELAS FROM PF, WHO JUST FOLLOW BLINDLY, SATA IS A MANIPULATIVE GUY HE PLAYED ALOT OF DIRT TRICKS DURING THE THIRD TERM BID,HE DID THIS ANK KICKED OUT THAT GROUP OF EDUCATED 22MPS WHO FORMED FDD. THERE SO MANY DIRTY THINGS THAT SAD DID WHICH I CANT ELABORATE ON THIS BLOG BECAUSE PF ZEALOTS WILL ATTACK ME AS THEY DONT WANT TO HEAR OPPOSING VIEWS ON SATA, JUST A REMINDER,HE BANKED GRZ FUNDS INTO HIS PERSONAL ACCOUNT, HE WITHDRAW 2BILLION WITH MANDANDI AT ZANACO,HE HUCKED CHAWAMA RESIDENTS WITH MATCHETS JUST TO MENTION BUT A FEW. SATA WILL NEVER EVER BE PRESIDENT OF ZED.

  21. # 26 mind u HH has lost elections twice already. Despite his age the fact that he has lost twice can finish him politically if he loses the third time. UPND will definately start looking for a candidate who is acceptable in Copperbelt Urban, Lusaka Urban, Northern, Luapula , Western, North Western and eastern provinces. Believe u me both HH and SATA need each other, but the fact is PF is more popular than UPND

  22. .. FROM # 30 MY HUMBLE ADVISE TO THE UPND GUYS IS TO PULL OUT OF THIS HEADLESS PACT, PF ARE UNDEMOCRATIC EFYO YA BA GAME YABA KAPONYA SO THEY WILL BULLDOZ THERE WAY GAY SCOT WANTS TO BE VICE PRESIDENT SO HE WOULD BE HAPPY TO SEE HH OUT, OUR CONSTITUTION DOES NOT PROVIDE FOR A RUNNING MATE LIKE USA THEREFORE THE VP IS AT THE MERCY OF THE PRESIDENT AND KNOWING SATA HE WILL KICK OUT HH AFTER THEY WIN, ASK SAKWIBA HE KNOWS HOW HE WAS TREATED BY SATA, IF A SENIOR PF CADRE LIKE SCOT CAN SAY SUCH R.U.BISH IN THE MEDIA WITH SATA BLESSINGS IT SHOWS FOR SURE THAY THE DONT RESPECT HH, LET SATA FOOL US AGAIN AND SAY SCOT IS SAYING WHAT HE SAID YESTERDAY AS JOURNALIST FOR THE POST OR LET HIM FIRE SCOT. N WAY IAM SCARED AS I WRITE PF BLOGAZ ARE WAITING TO ATTACK ME AM READY CAUSE IVE SAID THE TRUTH

  23. No.4 Ichi Nyamu Nyamu (PF Kaponya – zealot)
You are 100% correct.Sata was supporting Chiluba until Mwanawasa reviewed everything about him that’s when he (Sata) changed the go post .Sata & Mwanwasa they didn’t hate Chiluba but is Corrupt behavior

  24. What is the Luapula Royal Foundation? I have never heard of this organisation before. What i know is Lunda-luba empire (in Zambia) has a senior chief Mwata Kazembe, under whom certain chiefs operate. The likes of Lukwesa, Kashiba, Kanyembo, and so on. Then you have other chiefs belong to the Aushi and the Ungas of Bangweulu area. As far as I am concerned, Chief Chisunka is too junior to issue a statement that can be attributed to the whole of Luapula province. Again, I can only blame Chiluba for confusing people. Its disgusting to see politics take this turn in Zambia, and I feel so angry that once again MMD wants to portray a distorted picture of our customary chiefdoms. What a shame to Chisunka, and the Aushi speaking people.

  25. # 20,

You are the epitome of dreams and false positives. Get to know the Zambian electoral and political system. Sata is being condoned for mere purpose of legitimizing plural politics and not practically as a potential winner in national wide mandating elections. Open up for a final nail on him. I wish you had consulted me for research design techniques in your urbanite research. How long it took you to survey a credible sample size you have buiilt your dreams on? Good luck

  26. these hired chiefs of nowadays can make u laugh ha..ha there is nothing that mr sata has done just because he promised to drop chiluba’s charges, yes because mr sata knew chiluba was a thief nowanda he promised amnesty for him but sata nows exactly what the people of zambia wants,we need accountability and that all what chiluba stole must be returned to zambians.asking for accountability is not being consistence, what the hell is this chief talking about?which subjects from his kingdom who wants thieves to reign?Mr sata is consistent and is the man of our choice…we must build a nation of accountability, transparency and intergrity..chiefs are supposed to be defenders of good governancy.these chiefs of nawadays have become proper door matts they are not worth talking about.

  27. For once ba MMD, we know you are desperate to block Sata, but please spare us from this danger of destroying Zambia and the leadership system it has enjoyed over the years. When people loose confidence in such chiefs you will equally be affected. Though, its your right to destroy when ever you can, and build when ever you can; the choice is yours. Grateful though to our Mwata who, from the reports we read, has maintained the pride and level headedness that is bestowed on him as a MWATA.

  28. #31 you are the man, good analysis. in the pact UPND is the minority party therefore SATA stands a better chance of being the pact leader, apart from that the man is just loved by most zedians (zambians).

  29. Ka chief is also in the pockets of RB. How much has he been paid? It looks like most of our chiefs are lining up to get paid by RB including the Bemba Pramount chief Chitimukulu who can die any time. He wants to make sure that he enjoys before he packs up.
Chief Chisunka, if RB loses what are you going to say you useless cha

  30. Ba Kolwe, What is the point of belabouring the fact that Sata is more popular than HH when that itself cannot guarantee Sata winning the national presidency? This is the kind of foolish pride that will destroy the PACT and leave you and your Sata still out of statehouse.

  31. Why do people like talking about sata?, us what we want is change we dont want RB the international tourist. despite he is a defiler how can someone with 73 sleeping with a 22 year lady as wife, shame ba bata mwakula, you are not even fit to be a president insteady a prisoner, go back to your farm and continue farming as you were at first we dont want you. From Zambian lady

At todays copper prices, that works out to just over $900M – how much of that will go to taxes???

  34. SO the Post has become the mouth piece of Sata. You can see how they have blacked out HH. All this is working in the hand of MMD. No matter how much dirt the Post spews out about MMD, Sata without UPND is finished. Let them become second best all the time, that way they will always be good opposition. Even the post has fallen into the trap of thinking that this time around its Sata’s chance. Wait and see. HH has really got nothing to lose, we shall vote for him even if he no 3 and see where it takes Sata. The boat is taking water again. PF is not in Southern, Central, Northwest, Western and Eastern. Which president has ever won elections in Zambia without these provinces. I am telling you the Tonga, Lenjes and Kaluvales are not happy with what PF are doing. Watch this space. aaahooooaaa!

  35. I keep telling PF cadres that HH wasn’t a factor in 2008. He participated in the elections just to keep his name on the ballot paper so that he keeps the momentum for 2011. As Mr Chibwe has correctly pointed out most people of North-Western, Western, Copperbelt and Lusaka provinces promised Mr Hichilema of their votes in the 2011 election. Sata poured in millions of kwacha in that campaign, he hired helicopters to move him around and he had the support of the Post Newspaper but still just managed to win 38% of the votes. Where is he going to get the votes from this time round if voters in Luapula are deserting him? I feel pity for the man, he though he was going to ride on HH’s back but that won’t work either because HH is too smart to allow him to do that.

  36. Sata’s supporters can not use the argument that Sata did not know about Kafupi’s thievery until LPM shown him classified documents. Is Sata sure that the documents that LPM showed him were not just a political gimmick? If he did know what Chiluba was up to all that time then he must be the thickest politician ever and no wonder Chiluba passed him by and chose Mwanawasa instead.

  37. Ba Anaza, I wont comment on that as my earlier comment was so clear and if you bothered to raed it carefully that comment at # 43 was not necessary

  38. EXCERPT ON MICHAEL SATA

In 1984-5 when Mr Sata was senior Governor for Lusaka glorifying himself for bulldozing Misisi and Chawama townships, Dr Chiluba, his Deputy Chitalu Sampa, ZCTU Secretary-General Newstead Zimba and Mineworkers Union of Zambia (MUZ) president Timothy Walamba were in detention for opposing the Decentralisation Policy. Had Dr Kaunda listened, the ills that have dogged councils today could have been prevented.

  39. The PACT is intact. Those comments were made because i was Hungry and was promised some cash which i havent been given because RB is not in the country to sign the cheques

  40. Chaps, Sata changed his stance on Chiluba because of two things: Chiluba had ditched him and his party for RB and 2. The scathing attacks, criticism and bashing he received from The Post newspapers. The Post took on Sata the moment he embraced Chiluba and announced publicly that he will pardon Chiluba, all is documented. His change in stance is not a result of principle but for these two fundamental points. If Chiluba was still with him, he would probably not say a word about Chiluba, fearing the onslaught from The Post. So what is this? Hypocrisy at its highest degree.

  41. Arising from his sentimental feelings for Zambia, taking a leaf from perestroika and glasnost in the Eastern Bloc, the dismantling of Communism, Dr Chiluba on December 31, 1989 took the bull by the horn and issued a statement that Zambia must go multi-party. As expected the response was frenetic. It received widespread condemnation from UNIP cadres and those in government, including Mr Sata who was now a Minister of State.

  42. The automatic position for PF supporters seems to be that someone has been given a brown envelope if they say anything that is against Sata. While this may be true, it is foolhardy to rely on that position without any hard evidence. If PF is to have any chance of winning at all, they need to ensure that they do not lose Luapula. If what Chisunka is saying is a reflection of what is going on the ground, then PF is in trouble with or without brown envelopes. Seems to me that PF is going weaken itself by picking fights on too many fronts – MMD, Chiluba and now UPND. PF needs to humble itself especially in regards to UPND. If HH decides to be a spoiler and go it alone or even form a pact with MMD, then where does that leave PF and Sata? Ba PF, ichefyenikoniko panonofye.

  43. Zed Patriot, We know you are mmd and we dont take you seriously. ha ha ha ha VIVA PACT 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  44. Clearly, Dr Chiluba and Mr Zimba had thrown the gauntlet and the idea soon spread that culminated in the formation of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD), initially as a pressure group, until it was transformed into a political party in 1991 upon repeal of Article Four which barred pluralism in Zambia. Dr Chiluba who already had a wider constituency as ZCTU top man became the MMD’s Chairman for Organisation and Mobilisation Committee

Mr Sata joined the MMD in Lusaka on 21 January, 1991 and surrendered his UNIP card number 119602 to Dr Chiluba, with a call for the party when in power to reduce mealie prices or he quits. He stayed for ten years until he was kicked out. He became MMD chairman for local government with a promise to introduce township boards which he miserably…

  45. #53 chongololo u are right. PF supporters are full of UMUNGULU for how can they be so blind as to continue supporting a person who always has his votes stolen -pure UMUUNGULU.The fact is people of Zambia Know Sata very well ,he does not give them hope though he has managed to woo marketeers and kaponyas he has lamentably failed to convince the Zambian middle class with his money in pocket and ninety days mantra because most of them are educated christians who believe in sweating before sweet and not free satanic money in your pocket everytime u wakeup. SATA give the people of Zambia a workable solution do not hide in the popularity of the poor ignorant zambians.!!!

  46. Comrades on this fora. You see MMD is seriously working to garner maximum support in PF strongholds. Look, Thandiwe was in Luapula dishing out money, corrupting them to think MMD is the best and people under poverty are not difficult to convince. Cracks are already there. Look, PF has already started losing in Luapula, they lost a local govt seat in Bahati which is their seat. Now to argue that the rebels with Chiluba are not a factor is a child’s folly. PF is losing it. UPND on the other hand is proving to be stronger. It has grabbed seats from MMD in North Western and has maintained its seats in Southern Province, in Chadiza and Kaoma, UPND beat PF, so, PF wake up to the reality, let HH rule

  47. Chief Chisunka even yourself you cannot be trusted, Remember you got sugar from Levy which you were supposed to distrbute to villagers in Musalula, Mweshi and other area in Luongo. Did you do u do it?

  48. this chief is an a.ss. what about Banda? what did he promise the people when he was companying? what about george kunda a man who prosecuted chiluba and now turns around and says that he’s there political consultant. i think we should do away with these a.s.s chiefs. i believe something very, very sinister must have happened. am beginning to think LPM was killed by these motherf.u.ckers.

  49. #48 u are wrong about the king cobra the cobra messed up the Merzaf project to the point of embarrassing super Ken because he was timely forewarned about sata by his former boss late Henry Mtonga.
From then on king cobra as been a rich business man.So dont be cheated.!!! These people are in politics to save their own asses not yours or mine my brother.

  50. # 69 Real Nigar..so you all along don’t know where this LT belongs? its a copy paste of Times of Zambia, Daily Mail & ZNBC news & your guess is right what there content is….NALEKA..

  51. Highvie, you are absolutely right. Kalusa highlighted issues that need to be addressed. While Scott’s and Kabimba’s statements were meant to belittle HH and undermine the Pact Kalusa’s statement is directed at building the pact. You have correctly pointed out that what we need is a proper system, a strategy and plan of action before rushing to announce the pact president. The pact president must be elected and not anointed as done in PF. I am glad that you guys think that way. I’ve been advocating for this on numerous occasions on this blog. Keep it up guys, we are behind you. Don’t be swayed by these overzealous PF job seekers.

  52. By the way, PF is on record of promising to throw away Mr FJT Chiluba cases in 2006 elections time as evidenced in “Chief Chisunka said he was surprised why Mr Sata changed his stance after he promised to drop charges against Dr Chiluba when he supported him in 2006 elections… “What has changed now that Dr Chiluba is called names, is it because he is supporting his political opponents. Mr Sata should be fair,” Chief Chisunka said,” as reported under Sata can’t be trusted — Chief Chisunkain the Times of Zambia Newspaper of today.

Mr PF/Sata MC also extended his corruption cases recklessness by campaigning in Luapula Province of Zambia and other areas that the Fight Against Corruption was on Bemba speakers and he would stop it once President.

    Be blest all…

  53. Well said #72.

It is completely unethical for the Post to continue tricking the less intelligent and less analytical Zambians into believing that Sata will be president one day.

These innocent brainwashed citizens read the Post ans see false photos and get given the impression that Zambia is poor and her people are suffering. Shame on the Post and I pray that the dunderheads who get tricked by it one day open their eyes and see that they live in a blessed land with leaders who carry the annointing og God.

  54. Interestingly, Im reliably informed that Chief Chisunka is a mighty UPND supporter in Luapula Province and his “LUAPULA Province Royal Foundation chairperson Chief Chisunka has said Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata cannot be entrusted with power because of his alleged inconsistencies on matters of national interest” attributed to statement can be viewed just as a message from the Luapula UPND Group that is challenging Mr PF/Sata and PF itself in line with UPND National Youth Chairman Joe Kalusa including UPND Bweengwa MP H. Hamududu.

I hope UPND’s Joe Kalusa will mobilise the UPND youths in Luapula and Northern provicens of Zambia to issue their stance on the PACT and PF’s annoying behaviour. Im happy with UPND Copperbelt province branch.

    Be blest all.

  55. On “Dr Scott was also quoted as saying the results of the recent opnion poll were consistent with the 2008 presidential results in which Mr Sata polled more votes than UPND president Hakainde Hichilema.[..] But … [UPND spokesperson Hon Charles] Kakoma said it is unfortunate Dr Scott has continued to issue statements that can cause instability in the pact” reported in the Zambia Daily Mail newspaper of today under a title UPND dares PF, I am glad that the mighty UPND Group has clearly told PF and the whole Nation of Zambia including the world at large that PF/two-university-degrees holding-claimant MC will never bully the UPND Team.

I hope PF vice-appointed-leader Guy Scott’s disobedient behaviour will be discussed at the PF-UPND PACT’s NGC or/and JNC.

  56. #75 You are a liar. Chisunka is my mother’s partenal relative and his family are mmd since most of the hold GRZ positions-1) one was DG 2) the oldest is a principal 3) the oter one is a town clerk.Dont dream because I have even stayed intheir fathers house in Nchanga T/Ship.

  57. On “He [UPND Copperbelt Chairperson Elisha Matambo] said most people of North-Western, Western and the Copperbelt provinces promised Mr Hichilema of their votes in the 2011 elections and the promises had started bearing fruit,” and “The UPND had scooped 20 of the 24 ward by-elections it contested in the three provinces” as well as grabbed 2 MP constituencies through by-election with “… Elisha Matambo has said Mr [UPND elected-president Hakainde] Hichilema was promised votes for presidency by the people of Zambia for the 2011 general elections“, the mighty UPND has to intensify its posturing to form GRZ Administration with or without PF in 2011.

I urge the Youth and Old-timers brend leadership of UPND to remain being sober in convincing Zambians.

  58. #74 Future GRZ Official – Which planet are you living on? With or without the POST pictures Zambian’s are living below poverty lines. You and your relatives could be living behind fence walls which will hide the true picture from your eyes, but the truth is our people are suffering. Only thieves have made it. You see you are holding water in your hands but one day you will stretch your fingers and taht water will leave your hands.Truth is even Mr. Rupiah Banda cannot be trusted period.

  59. 77 Deja Vu greetings, on your terrible lie “#75 You are a liar,” what have I lied about? Do you understand English or you reason in your Luapula province languages?

In case you are still overzealous and confounded, I wrote that I am reliably informed that Chief Chisunka is a mighty UPND cadre but I never wrote that Chief Chisunka is a member of the UPND Team in my “Interestingly, Im reliably informed that Chief Chisunka is a mighty UPND supporter in Luapula Province….” So stop hallucinating and be careful always in your writing lest you expose your ignorance of the English Langauge.

You have a gr8 day though and keep well.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

  60. Equally those who bought the uncompleted Merzaf structures in Chilenje will remember the controversy surrounding the project. Mr Sata as Minister of Local Government and Housing single handedly awarded Merzaf the tender despite its inflated bid of K761 million, rejecting Minestone’s K562 million and National Housing Authority (NHA) K493 million. In 1992 Parliament launched investigations into the project and found that the tender was awarded without following procedures.

Private newspaper exposed acts which were a clear case of corruption and abuse of office. A ridiculous penalty of K50 prevented Mr Sata from being prosecuted.

  61. Switching allegiance from PF to MMD, from Michael Sata to Rupiah Banda is a matter of personal choice. There is no element of venal sin as one schizophrenic priest referred to Chief Justice Matthew Ngulube’s refusal to acknowledge Sata’s proffered hand at a funeral. Dr Chiluba and President Banda chose to work together for the betterment of Zambia.

Dr. Chiluba no longer sees the prolongation of a vendetta with the administration. He attends State functions when Mr Sata and colleagues have chosen to stay away. President Banda has a tangible programme to develop Zambia which is absent with Mr Sata. It was time to part Company and Mr Sata should not be a sore loser.

  62. As it happened to Belshazzar in Babylon, your days for the feast are also over. Mene, Mene Tekel, Upharsin. Indeed your leadership has been numbered, finished, weighed in balance and found wanting and taken over by UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema, after all he is your heir.

There is a limit to torture one can endure. Dr Chiluba has suffered enough for eight years and should be left to enjoy being a Zambian, free to move any where, meet any one and participate in the country’s political system without being harassed or heckled. That is what he risked his life for and for what he was detained – absolute freedom.

  63. On “Meanwhile, [UPND] Bweengwa Member of Parliament (MP) Highvie Hamududu has said PF [appointed-]vice-[unelected-]president Guy Scott and the [appointed-by-SATA-MC PF-]secretary general Winter Kabimba should be disciplined for issuing statements against Mr Hakainde Hichilema.[..] Reacting to calls that the UPND should discipline the national youth chairperson Joe Kalusa for saying the pact has no action plan and that the MMD would win the 2011 elections, … [Hon MP H.] Hamududu said PF officials were in the forefront of undermining the pact,” I am glad that Hamududu and Kakoma have both defended UPND Youth Chairperson Joe Kalusa and kept PF where it belongs.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

  64. What was his (Sata’s) legacy during his stay in MMD? Those who still bear the scars from the violence in Chawama and Mkaika by-elections bear a living testimony of his prowess and leadership as MMD national secretary. Dr Chiluba revealed why he exerted too much energy on violence because he did not know how to take minutes at the NEC meetings. He needed a diversion.

  65. WHO IS MICHAEL SATA?

Michael Chilufya Sata came on the Zambian political scene 54 days before the 2001 elections with a bang presenting himself as a saviour, able to paddle Zambians across the lake of poverty to the land of prosperity where exist freebies.

He presented himself as a former freedom fighter who served a term for inciting violence. Unfortunately, he was rehashing a lie and a make believe trying to make it appeal to liberation.

The claim obviously was meant to render credence to his claim for Plot One. He bargained for the possibility of those he shared a cell to come forward and cover for him and never a bucket of cold water that was thrown at his claim.

His claim died in the inferno when the real freedom fighters involved Mr Jackson Ngoma and Mr Hyden Dingiswayo…

  66. Continued… Mr Hyden Dingiswayo Banda revealed to the nation that Mr Sata was imprisoned for alleged criminal offence and in fact was a “mole” for the Federal government.

Maestro Hhehhehhehhe for 2011 would-b President of Zambia HH says:
September 2, 2010 at 12:26 pm77 Deja Vu greetings, on your terrible lie “#75 You are a liar,” what have I lied about? Do you understand English or you reason in your Luapula province languages? YOU LIED WHEN YOU SAY CHIEF CHISUNKA IS A UPND MEMBER. YOU DONT KNOW HIM AS MY MUCH AS I DO. HE IS ONE MY CHIEFS SINCE PART OF MY FAMILY IS FROM THERE AND ARE RELATED TO THE CHIEFDOM OF CHISUNKA.

  68. #88 Chinese Eyes- THAT TYPE OF PROPAGANDA WENT WITH MR MANGANI. IT WONT WASH, MAY BE TRY SOMETHING ELSE. You guys in one moment you aresaying Sata is not popular enough to win the 2011 election but are spending sleepless nights peddling all sorts of propaganda against him, why? I dont support Sata but the amount of time you are spending on him will make others want to see this man and what makes you jittery about him.

  69. # 88Chinese Eyes – Mr Banda was a disgraced game reserve poacher in KKs time. It was FTJ who ressurected him from poverty and sent him to Zimbabwe as High Commisioner under MMD GRZ in 1991.

  70. It is shameful for PF’s Guy Scott to continue referring to 2008 results where 2010 Chadiza and Kaoma Ward by-elections results in non-PF and so-called non-UPND stronger-holds are available for comment and I wonder whether PF appointed vice-leader is normal going by his “Dr Scott said Mr Sata was clearly the most popular leader between the two pact leaders.. such results will always reflect in any future election” attributed statement in the Zambia Daily Mail story which has a false-prophesy since the mighty UPND Group beat PF in vote number of 2011 Ward-by-elections in Eastern and Western Provinces.

I am challenging PF to find another reason for supporting their flip-flip self-appointed leader MC Sata who has never been elected a PF leader since PF’s inception in 2001…

  71. 89 Deja Vu, did you pass O-level or A-level English or Grade 12 exams under ECZ for you to fail to understand what a lie is?

Since you are clearly an English Language challenged character, here are the definitions of the word liar and lie.

    1. lie means “tell an untruth; pretend with intent to deceive“.
2.liar means “a person who has lied or who lies repeatedly“.

If the above two definitions are too difficult for you to comprehend, kindly ask someone else — who understand English well — to teach in their meaning in your Luapulan Langauge.

Have a blessed day in your delusion for I can not argue with an untrainable person like you over something that a pre-school child can easily understand.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first…

  72. #93 Maestro Hhehhehhehhe for 2011 would-b President of Zambia- I have got a cambrdge certificate with Grade 1 in Englsh Literature( Shakespeare, Wole Soynka, Chinua Achebe, Peter Abrahams and Alan Paton) and Enlish Language Grade 2, French Grade 4 among other subjects. So language is not an issue with me. Yes you said un thruth by alleging that Chief Chisunka is UPND when he is MMD.I dont even know this thing called ECZ

  73. #s 93 & 94 why are you fighting? Truth is Chief Chisunka is Tonga, he is Aushi on is mother’s side and that is why he is an Aushi chief. So, he could be UPND or MMD.

  74. People who are still thinking HH is not popular are still living in the past. HH has now sold himself such that when you go to Northern province at least they know who HH is. Please zambian lets not continue playing games time for playing is over. HH stands a better chance to win than Sata. Putting Sata at state house will be sucide for Zambia. We are going to be like Zimbabwe no one will take us serious.

  75. Deja Vu: for your information Chief Chisunka on his mothers side is full blooded tonga!! and yes Chief Chisunka is a supporter of UPND from the mazoka days and maintains his UPND support to this day. thats why in 2001 and 2006 UPND had better number of votes in luapula than Levy. Now with Luapula going back to MMD, sata has real problems in luapula and HH has at least a chance to pick up votes from around the Mansa area than even sata

  76. Guys plz tell me who between Sata & the MMD government led by RB & Kunda, who the real chameleon is? The MMD took chiluba to court & today they turn 365degrees & say its Sata who is a chameleon. Honestly how? Mr Sata was just told by the same MMD government that kafupi stole from Zambian like everyone else was told. If you want evidence to this, the London judgment is there for you to read for yourself. So why should this nchekelako chief + MMD blame the man who was not there when they decided to take chiluba to court & then refused to register the London judgment.
Now tell me who the real chameleon his, between MMD which took chiluba to court & today turns around & say they are not going to register the the London high court judgment & Sata who was told that Chiluba is a thief & he…

  77. Wot is this chief tokin bout …u think we dont kno that u r just a sponsored discredited chief …beta shut yo ……………………….

  78. In my life in Zambia I have never seen a greater politician like Sata. his greatness is in how much he can mobilise Zambians to see the reality in life and agree with him, that is that makes a great politician , the way he started that party, and now great numbers of Zambians see hope in him.. who is Chisunka to disagree with what Zambians want

  79. Dont Care says@20: Zambia urban population: 35% of total population (2008)
rate of urbanization: 2.3% annual rate of change (2005-10 est.) Simplistically if all the people in the urban areas voted for the PF and those in the rural areas voted for the MMD, with these numbers in mind, who do you think would win?

  80. #15 The reason why MMD is in all sensible news media including LT is because
    1. that is what sensible people read
    2. MMD talks development, real devlopment not 90 days money in your pocket.
    3. it is gaining in popularity
    4. the opposition is always negative so only negatives are reported, what else is there to report about Sata except negatives and insults?
    5. who wants to read negatives all the time?
    6. anyway you have your Post so shut up.

  81. Chief Who?? Let this tripe just shut the f…. up. Pabwaaaattttttooooooooooooooo! Does he think bwezani is to be trusted? Not even a snail can trust bwezani and his consultant.

  82. As a recent reports I saw, the reason why Sata is poular is because stu.pi.dity lies in the masses. Take any random sample of ppl, the f00ls will be more in number than the intelligent. That explains why the marjority of people seem to have forgotten that Sata was in the MMD as CEP, and Chiluba’s right hand man for 10 years. For us Zambians to forget the role this Satan played is shameful but expected. I pray this Sata is never President. Mukachimona bangwele- kukab imi sowa.

  83. As a recent report I saw, the reason why Sata is popular is because stu.pi.dity lies in the masses. Take any random sample of ppl, the f00ls will be more in number than the intelligent. That explains why the marjority of people seem to have forgotten that Sata was in the MMD as CEO, and Chiluba’s right hand man for 10 years. For us Zambians to forget the role this Satan played is shameful but expected. This Sata has tricked you saying he never knew Chiluba was stealing. He must be mad or plain st.oopid. If not Sata, then it is us Zambians who must be mad or plain sto.oopid. I pray this Sata is never President. Mukachimona bangwele- kukaba imi sowa

Jack SparroW ,hi my bro to answer your QUESTION, WHO WOULD I EMPLOY BETWEEN FTJ ,SATA AND RB, ONE FACT YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THAT ALL ARE RECYLED POLITICIAN NON OF THEM ARE MY CUP OF TEA, FTJ IS A THIEF, SATA IS A CHAMELEON AND NOT TRUSTED, RB just doesnt know what he is doing in state house. i would want to see a new bleed of leaders like you go back home and aspire for public office

  85. hey! someone here wants to see a new bleed of leaders. man, pls we don’t want another national mourning so don’t bleed our leaders!

  86. Sata makes GRZ dance,at least our late President acknowledged that fact! At the end of day it is us the registered voters who will the next leader.

  87. Chief Chisunka be like the LITUNGA, OPPs u can never be the Litunga sorry folks, |But at least copy something from the LItunga. He does not carelessly yap yap like u small chiefs. I’m not Lozi but I admire the intelligence of the Litunga. he has well schooled advisers hence what he says is carefully analysed before unleashed. But ba Chisunka, fighting over ca K2m Chiluba’s Luapula developmental meeting pay. Atase Ba Chisunka Shame. We shall start calling u by your first NAME now. bloggers what is his name this Chief Chisunka?

  88. #114 Mpangula Mputyu- The problem with our Chiefs in Luapula is the way they are installed. A part from the Mwata(Kazembe), Chiefs Kashiba, Kanyembo, Lukwesa and Kambwali the other are picke haphazardly as long as he is a nephew/niece from the Chiefs sisters. With the Mwata one has to be a Mwata’s Son who must be born at the Chipango(Palace). This means that the person to succeed the throne will have gone through some form of traditional training as a child. Now like some are suggesting that Chisunka is partly Tonga can you expect such a fellow to behave like a chief? Iam yet to confirm this allegation with my mother who partly comes the area presided by Chisunka.

  89. 115 Deja Vu, it is nice to note that you have realised that you were confused over simple data.

However, it is nice that you have written “Iam yet to confirm this allegation with my mother who partly comes the area presided by Chisunka“, although your “Now like some are suggesting that Chisunka is partly Tonga can you expect such a fellow to behave like a chief?” is pathetic.

I hope you will change your current bad perception about full and part Tonga by tribe and/or possibly speech people.

As a matter of fact, what matters is that Chief Chisunka is a Zambia and not this Luapulan tribe person thing for him to be Chief there. Zambia is for all Zambians and your mentality like GBM’s Kasama is for Bembas is dangerous.

    Be blest though.
    _
    Matt 6:33 But…

  90. #114, ONE DOESN’T NEED TO BE LOZI TO ADMIRE THE CONDUCT OF THE LITUNGA. I AM ALSO NOT LOZI BUT I APPRECIATE AND RESPECT THE WAY THE LITUNGA CARRIES HIMSELF IN RELATION TO POLITICS. ON THE OTHER HAND CHITIMUKULU, IS SO FUULISH HE HAS CHEAPENED HIMSELF BY RECEIVE THESE BROWN ENVELOPS EVEN IN PUBLIC. I CAN’T EVEN DISCUSS CHISUNKA. HE IS A NON-ENTITY.

  91. Deju Vu
The Luba system of chieftaincy is matrilineal while Lunda is Patrilineal. There is nothing wrong with that. Its tradition. Also in Eastern Province,Ngonis are patrilineal while others are matrilineal.
