  1. Sounds good, i understand this is the same construction company finishing of the govt complex building(former unip HQ’s) and so far they have made good progress. Based on that, i am sure they will do a good job here too.

  2. Zambia and its former colonial master seem to be irredeemably joined at the hip; they all wind up 2nd best from the bottom in any sport. At least I got that one figured out a long time ago and I don’t waste my time following Zambia and the Brits in any sporting event.

  3. At least it’s now not going to be used as a training ground by chipolopolo boys, under 17,under 20,and the rest who likes the artificial tuff.

  4. Gr8 news 4 mother Zed.Sport z another way of developin nation and I hope in the near future a golden cup of chipionship shall be won

  5. @Capitalist
What great news are you talking about . If you are an ardent follower of Zambian soccer not Vancouver Conucks or Canadian Montreal ,You can note that we have been informed of similar lies for more 5 times and nothing solid as yet been done. To be realistic or act as normal human lets examine and question our leaders when they dont not respect their promises.

  6. I know the Chinese are reaping from zambia massively. Theft of copper and cobalt, running copper mines i.e. Luanshya and Chambeshi. Chambeshi Smelter, huge tract of land we have given them to construct China Town etc. This is pay back time though the benefits to China outweighs the benefit for Zambia. They are reaping buillions of dollars from Zambia and giving us a few million dollars worth of investiment as social responsibility like this stadia. I know the Chinese will build one the way they are building the Ndola one. A Chinese Flag has been planted at State House, so RB has sold Zambia to Choncholis’

  7. Who is funding this construction? Levy negotiated a grant for the Ndola stadium but it has now been converted to a loan!!

  8. ZAMBIANA ARE SO BAISE VERY VERY BAISE. THATS WHY WE ARE NEVER GOING TO DEVELOP FORGET THE PAST AND START NEW ONES WITH A CAUTION STOP SAYING LIES BECAUSE THATS BRING US DOWN AND DISCOURAGINGLEADERS TO DEVELOP OUR NATION. SO MANY CRICTICS ZAMBIAN PEOPLE DOESN’T MATTER WHETHER SOMETHING IS GOOD OR BAD. I WONDER WHATS GOING TO TAKE TO CHANGE SOME IDOITS MIND.

  9. Sustainable development in any country involves local engineers and expatriates working along side each other for knowledge sharing. The Chinese build Tazara only to be run down by us and the Tazanians. What’s even more worrying is that our government seem to be perfecting the art of looting the coffers via procurement and handing out of dodgy contacts. Only Zambians can build a better Zambia so we need to invest heavily in our human resources.

  10. But how far have we gone with the Ndola 90 thousand seat stadium? however believes this story is mad. this the same story of the stadium in ndola which was said to be underway. the other time it was the stadium in Livingstone. Ba Zambia lies allover.

  11. What do you mean by New independence Stadium? Is it a totally new stadia not on the old site. What are you talking about?

You can refurbish it we will understand, be clear with what you want to do. Umu zambian

  12. Reading the comments here, cant stop laughing, i especially like the one bout zambians and brits.
i thinking, from the way i see it, that we have been promised a lot in the past, that was just to gain voters, zambian people are not stupid, you get elected with promises and no action, you are out! ask the MMD.
so far a lot of the promises made by previous governments have been executed in the new ones.
like the government building, the ndola stadium and now the lusaka stadium which has made a lot of progress and will be finished soon.
i cant wait to visit zambia and see the new developments that everyone seems to be talking about, i was last in zambia about 10 years ago.
