The National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) has told Faz not to take a offensive stance against its affiliates in the lead-up to the March, 2011 annual general meeting.

NSCZ spokesman Smart Mwitwa told a media briefing in Lusaka today that Faz should not intimidate its affiliates as the day draws closer for the associations AGM.

“The sports council would like to advise FAZ not to take any steps that will be interpreted as intimidation or that will disadvantage any member of the football family on the run up to the forth coming annual general meeting,” Mwitwa said in a statement read at the media briefing.

Faz recently suspended Simataa Simataa who is the general secretary of the Andrew Kamanga Faz faction.

And Mwitwa said Faz should also publicize in advance the list of delegates who will be eligible to attend the AGM in March and that the NSCZ will continue to monitor closely events in the build-up to the Faz congress.

The NCSZ has been a key player in the Faz impasse and was represented at the Zurich tripartite meeting with Fifa by its head Chifumu Banda that was also attended by Kalusha Bwalya and Andrew Kamanga factions and minister of sport Kenneth Chipungu.

This Great “Gbagbo Galu” has now gone rabid full circle. The illegal suspension of Simataa is to say the least laughable. People ought to know when their time is up, there is nothing that Mr Bwalya can do to stop his being booted out of FAZ come March indaba. I also wonder what the hell he thinks he is doing spending all the time fighting the Andrew Kamanga faction when he is supposed to be campaigning for the FIFA and CAF posts he is running for in February? Anyway, I will not be surprised that like last time he will pull only one vote for himself, his!

FAZ led by Galu will not win even when they suspend Samata. The way forward for him is to resign after losing the CAF & FIFA positions. No way is he going to win. Those elections will be conducted in a respected way without picking pipo from the street promising them food. No kaponyas who doesn’t know how to dress. Highly educated pipo will be voting what a person is can do to develop football in Africa not how he used to score free kicks !

Atleast samata isn’t a kaponya. Chola boys can die defending boss galu who has no heart for Zambian football but personal glory. Only ***** support him. You ***** who support galu it’s time to reflect on what galu has done as administrator not as a player. Free kicks he was good but to run faz he has not managed !

Chakomboka & # 15 if yourselves depend on jobless simata, it explains why you cant sleep to have him in faz thru the back door. Your poverty then explains your impatience. Why are you not moving a motion against MMD when % votes tell you the opposition got over 70% combined. Tell me how many votes Kalu polled to get his 4 year mandate & how many of those useless 2/3 signatures were forged. Give us facts not failed, failed, failed, failed. Even you have failed thats why you are a nonentity. What hav you done for zambia & what are your alternatives apart from insults you hypocrites.

Waku Chipata there are now job opportunities in zambia for referees as all referees have refused to recognize yo boss kalu. Refs have told kalu off in the face that they dont obey him. So tell yo boss kalu to co-opt u as a FAZ referee at least b4 march.

Yes the FAZ constitution may say; “….the AGM shall be held in March…” and rightly so when everything iz equal. But I think we have a situation that necessitates the holding of that March AGM now! Waiting another 75 dayz will work to the detriment of the beautiful game of football.

    # 24 & # 26 u’re correct: In fact March is too far there are too many problems at FAZ. Am wondering what kind of administrator kalu is. He shud not force himself on pipo coz no sensible person appreciates his use-less leadership style!

#30, When Simata was just a FAZ committee member, he brought sanity at Independence Stadium by arranging that all tickets were bought through a FAB branches prior to the games. This reduced long queues and waiting time at the stadium. This also reduced fraud that was the order of day when tickets were sold the day of the game at the stadium. Additionally, when our beloved team died. Simata acted as FAZ president and we got to the finals. Players in the 1994 finals have attested to hefty allowances. When you you compare his level administration skills to Kalu, results speak for themselves. K-Stars is no better than Amakumbi. So what are you talking about?

#34 kambongolo, 2/3 forged signatures, Hon Minister should concentrate on sports infrastructure development, Ps teddy mulonga hired Ziese as coach so his credibility is highly ??????. Nscz think their role is footbal only, they are lost. Kambongolo & chakomboka are blinded by hatred & cannot be relied on. Maybe Lundazi zealot is balanced he can convince us to think something is not correct.
