Bonetti Hails Mbesuma

Share

Dario Bonetti has hailed Collins Mbesuma of Golden Arrows in South Africa for showing commitment to the team.

Bonetti featured the troubled striker for a second successive game on Sunday in Zambia’s 2-0 away win over Mozambique in an Africa Cup Group C qualifier in Maputo a month after recalling him in the Februay 9 friendly away to Swaziland in which they won 4-0 away in Manzini and the striker was on target.

The Italian said while Mbesuma did not find the target, his teamwork on the pitch showed he was getting back to form.

“I think Mbesuma played very well,” Bonetti said. “In the first half he made an assist for Chamanga and in the second half he played very well for the team and created some offensive moves.”

Mbesuma was substituted in the last quarter of the match and was replaced by Emmanuel Mayuka who went on to score Zambia’s second goal late into stoppage time.

  1. He´ll bounce back! So many players have hit the bottom floor and later to pick up and admired as great players. Good luck bro..

  2. Great positive feedback from coach. Ifwe Zambians we like killing our own people with “PHD” syndrome! If we see our player is out of form once or twice we start barking that “he is finished!” We don’t want to give people a second chance! Please stop it!

  3. Mbesuma is simply good. He needs such encouragement and support from people surrounding him for him to totally come out of the doldrum.

  4. Tomfwontomfwo he will definitely bounce back we just hope he maintains this discipline coz he seems to be distracted on several ocasions. Congrats to the team Mayuka is the one.

  5. Very pozitive from Bonetti and good lesson for the FAZ technical committee, who have a habit of discarding good players often on very flimsy and personal groundz. The so called PHD doez not play a part, but discipline, yes. Though there several playerz ( Rooney, Diouf, Modise, e.t.c) with hazy disciplinary recordz, in Zambia we crack the whip too soon. What happened to Davies Phiri, Rotson Kilambe, Harry Milanzi, Laughter Chilembi, that notorious Zulu boy, Moses Sichone to mention but a few?

  6. From #11 Am not suggesting that the mentioned playerz should be included in the national team now, but just to look at how they phazed out. And what happened to the Chalwe brotherz?

  7. Lets allow the boy to pick up himself may he will do better. Condeming him for his past poor behaviour will jot help him

  8. Let him pick up dont make useless comments. I liked the way he moved he surely could have given us problems in the back if he played during our time

  9. continue working hard collins you are doing us proud who come from the once flamboyant town of luanshya, kafubu stadium , we are coming back!!

  10. HE IS PICKING UP HOPE HE WILL BE CALLED IN JUNE.TO ME HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER WHO CAN HOLD ON THE BALL WITH POWER AND SKILL.

  11. Not bad! What he needs is someone to manager him. Put him in the right framework. Football is his bread and butter so he is supposed to put in extra effort and work hard. He just needs guidance from a serious minded coach or footballer.

  12. Lets us give more support to Mbesuma, the guy is bouncing back….jealous down and he deserved to be congratulated.

  13. **==If one is focused change is possible, well done Mbesuma. Be focused football guys, don’t behave like the likes of Simata Simata & Andrew Kamanga the vuvuzelas of football confusion. Your fortunes are dwindling vuvuzelas…….

  14. # 20 DON´T BE BEHIND BUT BE TOGETHER! DÓN´T REMAIN BEHIND PLEASE OTHERWISE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING, LIKE THE BUTTOCKS ARE!
