  1. What a foolish campaign strategy. Zambians please be careful with these Chinese because they have formed a Pact with MMD so the RB can win the elections. Why donates this time of the year just before elections and to western province for that matter where MMD has NO support? After RB has killed people and now he wants to show that he cares. Abash RB. VIVA PF.

  2. #1 DR.XYZ You so foolish sensless man,so you want Obama to donate or Cameron who broke? What does donations got to do with elections? If indeed you are serious why did’nt you complain when the British imperialist donated assorted health equipment recently,am sure you were fine with that because they donating for PF?

  3. Zambians tend to have selective amnesia, the ‘Donation’ like it or not will yield votes for the ruling party……..unless our rural based brothers and sisters figure out a way of understanding that accepting “donations” in no way obligates them to vote for the people sourcing these funds in this case MMD.

    • “I see dumb people!”:(([-( When you learn how to understand the words you are reading then maybe you can ask me questions?

  4. our money from copper is now being donated back see my earlier on Luanshya:
I feel very bad for Zambians that are celebrating these announcement from RB and team for supposed development. My job involves traveling in Zambia towns extensively. We travel on very bad and dangerous roads. Coming down to Luanshya every time I am working there there are plenty youths and old men coming to ask me if I am employing. There is huge unemployment and desperation among the residents. The so called opening mines are Tumtemba Chinese mines who have come with their own laborers. Suspected to have been prisoners from China. The newly Luanshya road was also a cheap Chinese road which is already falling apart. What warranty was on this road Mr Vice and Mr RB? Please be more concerned about Zed well being

  5. MMD wants to buy votes from Western Province and is trying hard to please lozis. Please Zambians, get the gifts from these desperate MMD brats and tell them we are behind you BUT in the booth you know what to do. NI DONCH KUBEBA or PABWATO simple. Dont tell them you are in the opposition or you miss the gifts, drink their beer and whatever they offer BUT NI DONT KUBEBA.
VOTE SATA IF YOU WANT CHANGE.

  6. The government could have easily collected this money and MUCH MUCH more as windfall tax. Now we look like we a charity case

  7. I THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE DIVIDED TO ALL THE PROVINCES NOT ONLY WHERE YOU KILLED PEOPLE OR IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEPOSITED IN FUNERALS ACCOUNT DEDICATED TO CIVILIANS CASUATIES DUE POLICE SHOTINGS.

  8. Ndiye banthu aba. Osati a PF, nthayo za mapolitician izi. RB has donated. HH has donated. What about SataN? Nothing. Very selfish. All he donates is foolishness and nonsense talk. And he wanted to replace the Chinese with the Taiwanese. It won’t work. SataN will NEVER NEVER NEVER be president. Dora, continue donating until the whole PF following perishes with envy of heart attacks.

  9. 1# DR. XYZ

Shut Up. These donations will help the children to enhance their education.

Why don’t you take your $50,000 and give it to these innocent kinds. You were given an education in your life and that’s why you are able to use the internet and post blogs. So allow these children have a sound education too.

Would it sound better if the money came from the PF Associates? Good will is Good Will. It does not matter where it comes from.

Its not RB, HH or SATA who is to benefit from this donation but the children at school. What a disgrace your are….

  10. Iker the Octopus has picked Real Madrid to beat Barcelona on Wednesday in the King’s Cup final.

The 16-kilogram (35-pound) Pacific Ocean octopus named after Real goalkeeper Iker Casillas correctly predicted a draw in the first of four matches between the teams in 18 days. Now, he’s out to prove his first pick was no fluke.

Iker chose Real on Tuesday by snatching a sardine from the tube covered with team’s logo.

Iker floated passively for 15 minutes without selecting a sardine from either team’s tube on Friday, a day before Real rallied to a 1-1 draw in a Spanish league match.

The teams will also face each other in both legs of the Champions League semifinals RB guy is back and you are losing this years elections

  11. THIS IS WHAT IS CALLED ‘IMAGE BUILDING’ IN POLITICS……BUT WHY SHOULD IT BE THE CHINESE TO DO THE ‘DAMAGE CONTROL’ ON BEHALF OF MMD……THESE SHORT GUYS ARE SLOWLY BEGINING TO INTERFERE IN OUR LOCAL POLITICS……..BAYA SANA……ANYWAY, NI DON’T KUBEBA…….TRANSLATED IN CHINESE AS ‘ INHYA NSHHUI NSWHYA!!!…. EAT, BUT DON’ GIVE THEM YOUR VOTE, RESERVE IT FOR MR MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA, INSHIMBI SHA PA ZED……

  12. SATA CAN NOT RULE ZAMBIA, PERIOD. HE IS NOT CONSISTENT,HE CHANGES LIKE A CHAMELEON. ZAMBIANS CAN NOT TRUST HIM. I ACTUALLY VOTED FOR HIM IN 2006 BUT REALIZED THAT MY VOTE WENT TO A WRONG PERSON WHEN I READ IN THE PRESS THAT HE WENT TO CONFRONT THE SECRETARY TO THE CABINET TO INVITE MUGABE FOR HIS SWEARING IN CEREMONY WHEN THE RESULTS WERE NIT EVEN ANNOUNCED. I CAN CONFIRM THAT I AM ONE OF THOSE WHO HAVE SWITCHED FROM SUPPORTING SATA TO SUPPORTING RB BECAUSE OF THE GOOD POLICIES MMD IS DOING. VIVA RB ABASH SATAN

  13. IWE MALINSO #5.1 WAT UNDERSTANDING AR YOU TALKING ABOUT. MMD IS ALSO LOOKING FOR DONATIONS. MMD IS JUST A CONVEYOR BELT FOR CHINA.

  14. #17 IWE DZIKOMO, YOU ARE JUST AN INDIVIDUAL. YOU ARE NOT A FACTOR. I DON’T EVEN THINK IF YOU HAVE A VOTERS CARD. WHO KNEW THAT RB WOULD RULE THIS COUNTRY.

  15. matepeta you are write I also suport kci you people who are in fever of MMD. I want you to answer the question as to how much these investors contribute to the government coffers? this is our money.

  16. Let’s get to the bottom of issues. Who has a kind heart for the aspirations of the young people between RB and Sata. The youth of Zambia need education, whereas the majority of Zambians, love sport – especially football. Does Sata care about football? When did Sata watch a football match? The construction of a Stadium in Ndola by Chinese irritates Sata whom we know has no interest in football. At least RB is a football fan. With respect to a story relating to Chinese donations meant for Western Province, what is wrong about such donations going to Western Province, which is part of Zambia? Critics of such humanitarian gifts are downright saddists who enjoy seeing the suffering of poeple. No wonder Sata loves to “pangalize” innocent people – the Chawama style.

  17. A name can spell either a doomed and calamitous or a bright future for a child. As an African You should have always scoffed at meaningless names imported from the West. In our family all of us have vernacular names coined after some event or expressing our hope and expectations. For example my name I am now told means ‘A Star’.
Evil spirits and demons can be transferred through these names. Most Zambian, who tend to use Christian names, whilst accepted, have lost a rich part of your identity, and are plain DULL The creed of an African is to be proud of your history
I urge anyone with an English name, to find ways of how they can discard of it. Just because Kenneth Kaunda used that, doesn’t mean he does not feel disgusted, real and respectable people have their AFRICANS NAMES INTACT

  18. Just build roads in Western Province not ma rubbish yanu ayo. The youth in Western Province want to break away because of succesive govt neglect of the province. Make the youth the feel that they are part of Zambia by opening the closed boarding facilities at High schools. The other day Mama Zamtel Dora Siliya was boasting of all places in Katete that Western Province has the highest number of Basic schools! Mama Zamtel that is the problem. The Barotse youths are complaining about. It seems you want them to be educated upto Form 2 like in the colonial era. Zambia needs elected Provincial govts that know exactly what their priorities are!

  19. KA MUSHOTA MWAICHE NDIWE NKAKA. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER YOU USE ENGLISH OR AFRICAN NAME, WHAT MATTERS IS SIGNIFICANCE OF THE NAME TO THE ONE NAMING. ALL MY CHILDREN HAVE AFRICAN NAMES BUT I STILL RESPECT THOSE WHO GIVE THEIR CHILDREN WESTERN NAMES.

  20. A donation? what is the ulterior motive give K50 rake in millions. Wake up Zambians!  It matters not who’s in power THEY ALL fleece they country. Sata would be doing the same. Power is a dangerous thing especially at election time!!!!

  21. These are blatantly si.lly and cheap exploits by MMD. For starters why Western province? Are they the only ones in need of school material or are you wooing them to vote for you. Zambians – this should be a woke up call to vote MMD out. If in the last 20 years they had a sound schools agenda, they wouldnt have needed a poxy $50,000 from the chinese. It is even embarrasing for the Govt to have announced this amount when infact they should have collected at least $400, 000 from windfall taxes and no begging from the chinese could have been needed. Western province do not be cheated – vote with your brains and kick out this embarassment of a leader in RB.

  22. Only in Zambia do things such as this happen. This my friends is a moral issue.Unfortunately it cannot be forced down someone’s throat. It has to come from the current government. It is called self limitation. When vj was queried about his mandrax deals, the premise on which he continued to stay in grz was the fact that it was history and laws at the time were not adequate to consider him a criminal. But what about the possible damage to the end users of those drugs? And I ask again, just because there is no authority strong enough to question mmd’s actions does it warrant them to act without due consideration of the far reaching implications of a particular action? In my opinion, it is mmd that has asked the Chinese to donate to western period as a means of damage control.

  23. Now the Chinese are helping RB to win votes in Western Province because he has a soft spot for them, to the extent of freeing the Chinese managers who committed a gun crime against our Zambian brothers and sons.

Shame on RB and his Chinese friends.

  24. #22, what do you know about being an African? Have you not disowned us? Recall all that you have written here in the recent past.

  25. The Chinese ought to help us Barotselanders to get our place free as it used to be under our forefathers. That is the best gift to western province than a donation. If they don’t and then we happen to get free one day we shall switch our alignment to Taiwan am sure they’ll be happy for it.Zambia is a failed state and it is shows by how happy they get when recieving aid & dragging us down.Long live the republic of Barotseland.

  26. Zambia is supposed to be a rich country, if we can get reasonable benefits from the mines! Westerners, receive the donations BUT you know what to do! DONCH KUBEBA! Someone out there please coin a Lozi phrase of ‘don’t tell them’

  27. KCI,THKS FOR YR BRAINS.WISHED EVERYONE WUD SEE IT THAT WAY.WEN ARE EVER GOIN TO DONATE TO CHINA.NO WONDER THESE SHORT GUYS CN TELL THEIR CASUAL WORKERS TO GO AND ASK RB ON HOW THEY FEED HIM.POPPERS! 4 LIFE.

  28. #21 CC Malama, ruling classes have realised that cheap entertainment–like football–takes people’s minds away from serious issues. Instead of bad roads, people are talking about Arsenal drawing with Spurs. It is not only in Zambia, it is all over the world. People don’t pay attention to the cuts David Cameron is making in Britain. Similarly, Rupiah goes scot-free because we don’t see the ills committed by the MMD.

  29. Well every donation to a vulnerable group must be welcomed. But like others have said, it should not be a pre-condition for a preferred vote. People should accept these ‘gifts’ and enjoy them, and go on to exercise their free choice of voting for any candidate they prefer whether that candidate donated gifts to them or not. It can be both ‘Kubeba or Donchi Kubeba’ as the saying goes – depending on the validity of the candidate to the voter.
