RB breaks ground for the construction of HITACHI plant to be completed in December

Share

President Rupiah Banda says construction of the Hitachi manufacturing plant is an indication that Zambia is ripe for investment from all around the world.

Hitachi will invest an initial 15 million United States dollars, which is over 7.1 billion Kwacha in the first phase of the project expected to be completed in December this year.

Mr Banda was speaking at the Ground breaking ceremony of Hitachi construction machinery Zambia limited factory on airport road.

The plant will be assembling earth moving equipment and is expected to employ over 200 people in the construction phase.

President Banda says the establish of Hitachi is important for Zambia because of the jobs and technology transfer it will bring into the country.

Mr Banda notes that once the plant is up and running it will establish Zambia as a major source of earth moving equipment for the region.

He has thanked Hitachi for the investment which he believes will attract more Japanese investors to Zambia.

The President says Zambia has huge investment opportunities in the mining, manufacturing and tourism sectors.

Hitachi is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction, mining and earthmoving equipment.

This is the first ever investment into the manufacturing sector by a Japanese company.

The investment is expected to add impetus to President Banda’s desire to create more jobs for Zambians.

And Japan says Hitachi’s investment in Zambia is a clear indication that the country is an attractive investment destination, and that Zambia has great potential to be an economic hub of the region.

Japanese Ambassador to Zambia, Akio Egawa says the investment will also be a valuable booster to the economy.

He said this in Lusaka on Thursday during the ground breaking ceremony of the construction of Hitachi Construction Machinery re-manufacturing factory along Lusaka’s airport road.

And Commerce Minister Felix Mutati says Hitachi investment will attract other global investors into the Country.

And Vice President of Hitachi Construction Machinery Yokio Arima says the company believes in Zambia and her economy.

Mr Arima told ZNBC News that the company targets to rehabilitate earth moving equipment for the mining companies in Zambia and the region.

He says the company will initially employ about 20 Zambians to work at the plant when its operation by end of this year.

  1. Another one has gone into the Bag. Zambia needs such kind of manufacturing specialists to provide machinery to enhance future development programs.

A Tangible and Productive Development Venture. Keep going!!! Haters and all those that cannot see development uprooting will keep going to bed with headaches & heartaches

  2. This election is not like being on American Idol, Big Brother or X-Factor. This year’s election is about who has the “MOJO”

The current Theme Song by The Post, is to go out and sermonize Sata’s Popularity, so when the election results come, they can all go and cry that Sata could not have lost because he had more popularity theme song. Thus, create an up rise, knock off-balance and destabilise the nation

  3. The current Theme Song by The Post, is to go out and sermonize Sata’s Popularity, so when the election results come, they can all go and cry that Sata could not have lost because he had more popularity theme song. Thus, create an up rise, knock off-balance and destabilise the nation

Sata’s message to the voters has so far only offered STICKS and not CARROTS.
How do you go to Western Province, promise people that – “I will build this and that road for you”, when GRZ has already commissioned road construction and the ball is rolling on the ground. This also explains why PF has been in opposition for 10yrs without a tangible Manifesto.

  4. $15million dollars investment for a MNC? This is what Robbinson Zulu (Meanwood) made for selling land to NAPSA…

  5. Only kaponyas don’t love this you can see no comments from the likes of Kalos2020!Useless war mongers ,what else do you want from RB the man is endorsed worldwide.Satana only comedies, the second ‘sauzande(‘MHSRIP).

  6. Of course it is an atractive investment destination because you can do whatever you wish to as an investor. Infact you don’t even pay tax because govornment will tax its people. $15m will be used in the first phase so are you telling us that constructing that plant is cheaper than refurbishing NAPSA building? Ba MMD you are confusing us. please announce the election date.

  7. Well that’s good but the number of people who will be employed are few plus that kamu chong cholee in the excavator, even the machines will assemble by their own labour from Japan that all. Plus the location, that plant could have been better brought to the copperbelt, that’s were the machinery will be mostly used, everyhting is Lusaka, lusaka so u re not going to bring development to the copperbelt?

  8. DONT FORGET, JUST BEFORE 2008 ELECTIONS FERTIZER PRICES WERE SLICED FROM 250,000 PIN TO 50,000PIN. NO ONE BOT AT 50,000 PIN. THESE PROJECTS WILL DIE JUST AFTER THE ELECTION DAY. DONT BE CHEATED ONCE AGAIN. LEARN FROM THE PAST DO NOT BE SO SHORT SIGHTED.

  9. This is good news for the country. I bet they are waiting to see if RB wins for them to invest even more because they know that investing when Satanzania is in power will mean that they are just wasting their money with the likes of Kambwili as Finance Minister.

  10. When Sata come we will have more of these projects commisioned in just 90 days viva Sata.

  11. I shall be commissioning my state of the art pit latrine built at my plot which I bought from an MMD councilor near garden hotel, I am cordially inviting the President to come and commission it, who knows I might defect to the MMD, donchi ukubeba.

  12. A factory with 20 workers? It is a service center for HITACHI machinery in Zambia. You need loads of steel and to manufacture heavy machinery. Just say another Southern Cross or Pilatus, only difference it is servicing heavy machinery. Continue being misled by these quack heads

    • Its a plus still because if they did not come we’d not have it. We would have been sold that land and houses there

  13. While the company will surely provide employment and pay taxes to GRZ! – This is not about the number of people that will be employed.

The big picture is for Zambia to have Industrial Machinery produced locally, which will be cheaper to buy or get via spread Finance Credit Schemes. We have many companies in Zambia’s Urban Industrial Areas that fail to obtain machinery abroad due to the High Price Costs, Shipping Bills, and Insurance Bills to get them to Zambia.

The outcome will mean that Construction / Property / Farming / Industrial companies will benefit massively by getting these machines within Zambia and at a far cheaper cost.

    Lets leave cheap politics aside……

    • Inevestors don’t pay any tax to our gvmnt, am telling these guys will be given maybe 20yrs free trading without paying tax, when it’s time they will pack & go since that will be cheap work building that workshop.

  14. This is good news, we need more manufacturing/production industries for investments.

US$15m initial investment=US$15m Meanwood Land Scam… Interesting times indeed.

    Welcome to Zambia, Hitachi..

  15. Sata can kiss my vote goodbye. RB you have my vote, this is what we want to hear, not insults and unachievable 90 day PF economic miracles.

  16. 19 # INDEPENDENCE OBSERVER

Ignore 22@ John Phiri, he is about to be registered at a mental institute.
Others will not understand your points; they are hell reduced to be delusional.
You are an investor that has constructed hundreds of flats, high cost houses, farms in eastern, central & northern provinces. So I bet you understand why these earth moving machines are important. Young, and living in Diaspora, we have seen your work in Zed and shown us that in life all things are possible if you work hard and believe in yourself. I just came from Zed and saw your projects. Just keep posting your encouragement words on LT

  17. # Independent Observer..ignore kaponyaz attacking your comments. lets keep on scoring as MMD and RB for the better of Zambia and its people, soon we ll be refurbishing the international airport which ll have the state of art technic and continue with construction of the fly over roads in lusaka to decongest the traffic. we ll not rest till we meet our sustainable development vision in 2030..

  18. LT get your facts right. Hitach is not the first Japanese company to invest in Zed. If my memory serves me well There was a plant in chingola were Fuso tructs were assembled. Was Panasonic a Bwazani company? The Japanese also provided funds to sink water wells in the capital city of Lusaka. What a shame. RB and his cronies must be deluded to assume the chinese will ever buy those machines from Hitachi. Hitachi should ask what happened to Mazembe and Blackwood hodge when the chinese bought the mines.I hope and pray poor people of zed will not waste their votes on those retirees or seventy something nohopers wanting to be presidents

  19. Good news indeed. But seriously our government has to change its policies on investment. How can a manufacturing company of earth moving machinery only employ 20 local workers. I am an engineer and speak from a professional stand point when i say manufacturing, even just assembly of a moving machine, requires way more than 20 workers on the line and other departments. So if this company is only going to employ 20 local workers only, where will the rest come from, Japan? How is this company helping in sorting out the problem of unemployment in our country? I not only blame the government but the rest of us Zambians. We dont demand whats is best for us, what are our MPs doing in parliament to allow such bad policies by our government? Lets petition our MPS and government to work for US!

    • Engineer wawa!!! Read again, it says “the company will initially employ about 20 Zambians to work at the plant when its operation by end of this year”. The 20 is not the final number.

    • which line are you reading that 20, cause what am seeing is a figure 200 and not a 20 as you are saying. i stand to be corrected.

    • #29.2 Mulibamwenso, read the last line of the article its says the company will initially employ 20 Zambians when the company is operational.
#29.1 Not a Lowyer, it says ” ….20 zambians when the company is operational”, that means the company will start doing its intended purpose of which is producing earth moving machinery, so what are you talking about. You definately need more than 20 workers to produce one earth moving machinery, my question is, where will the rest come from? Dont just go blindly with these investors, are you telling me that they would say ‘we will only employ 20 Zambians and thats it?’ open your eyes my brother dont be fooled by these so called investors when they are just creating jobs for there fellow country men while our brothers and sisters are jobless!

    • Splitting hairs there. Just read the way it is without your lopsided bias. Wonder how you will feel when the expected expansion gets going….

    • Not a LOWyer, you seem to know when this so called expansion will be, please educate us on that. You ask how i would feel if the so called expansion happened, well ofcourse i would be happy, do you think i would be sad? And how will you feel when the so called expansion doesnt happen and you keep waiting for “tomorrow” for years?
Zambians are tired of promises we need action now, as far as am concerned this company has clearly stated the number of people they will employ IN DECEMBER (definite time) and have not stated how many people they’ll employ “when they expand” and we dont knwo when and if they would expand. If you want to live your life on promises good for you, Zambians have moved on from promises they want facts that they can see and work with.

    • Then why are you so worked up when you don’t know the timeline? Just be patient – this is the initial stage as stated in the article. For once just be patient – maybe it is more than the 90 days limit you are looking for :-) Just relax mune…

  20. Sad we had a “Zambian” company, Lenco I think, which died. Now we have a Japanese company. This is development?

  21. This is the kind of investment needed in Zambia in order to steer up our economy in the right direction. Well done RB!!! We need more manufacturing jobs in Zambia and not service Jobs.

  22. How does one wakes up and say adopt female candidates for this year’s elections. They should compete and not to just sit back while men are investing in constituencies. That God because in Mweembezhi constituency, there is no female chasing the candidature of being an MP. We only have one female Queene Malindima contesting as councellor in Makombwe ward and she will return her seat. 4 candidates as MP are all males and today the people were just discussing of about 10 June, the last day for receiving applications from candidates and all voices could just produce Choonga Shibwanga. O. Am shocked that many GRZ workers like those at Sichobo(Shibuyunji) Clinic are itching for Choonga Shibwanga to be adopted and all are saying he is the man. We shall meet you UPND in Mweembezhi this year.

  23. It’s an assembly plant not a manufacturing factory. Like the Fiat plant in Livingstone that KK “brought” to Zambia with his “good policies”. Now what happened to that “investment”, let me try to remember…

  24. # 8, Yaya, you little chihuahua. You are still barking? You are so faint. Get louder little dog. Your so called president just touted a Repair/Greasing plant for Hitachi equipment being used in the mines your little pippy gets excited. 20 jobs they have mentioned is less than the number of janitors in my department.

  25. Only a clone cannot make a difference between assembling and manufacturing. $15m is a profit of some chicks after playing cards and then you are making noise as if it is $100m. Fellow country men, make a difference between constructing and providing good services. The major issue is not tackled, which is the policy over investors. It is a pit to see our people dying with bullets from investors and the government allow them to walk freely. I know campaign time they dish out to ma ten pin, but you still lombast yourselves in povert. this investment is still meagre.

  26. The article says a manufacturing plant and then assembly plant. Which one should we go for? And the whole president commissioning a plant that will employ 20 people.

  27. I can see most of us are celebrating for this investment. I just hope this company has not been invited by Mining Giants in Congo and Zambia to produce heavy duty spare parts which will create unemplymet for those zambian small suppliers on the copperbelt. How come RB never mentioned anything about this investment before it come. So sudden, uhhhhhh???? Has RB been to Japan to lobby for this? welcome Hitach!!!

  28. This is a mirracle to see excavators in Zambia. This country is poor. The ground the air the people, there is really something about being in zambia that i do NOT miss I am afraid

    Thanks

  29. Cra*p! What is $15 million dollars investiment into heavy equipment manufacturing? Look, just to update the already built and standing ZNBS (Society House), RB had to steal US$98 Million of pensioners’ money. Now, when you talk about building a factory from the scratch how do these figures work out? What is being built is just a shop for selling Japanese cars. And also perhaps we now know what is needed to refurbish Society House; not $98 million. We probably need only $2 million, so where is the remaining $96 million going?

  30. Am sure Sata is now very sick. You can Tekanyeni from the hullucinations of his supporters whenever they blog and debate issues on this site.

  31. Whether assemling plant or manufacturing plant, there will be job creation to one person and that will help that person to alliviate absolute poverty. I will increase the the income base of the country through broadening the tax base. To some people, development is an event when in the actual sense development is a process which need to be guided by people with the knowledge and not kaponyas who take development to happen like an earth quake within 90 days.

  32. l think pipo of Zambia are more wise than what politicials think. One wonder’s why one as to bring development when it is time for elections. Please our beloved leaders do not take people for granted Zambians want change this year we had more of the same from you for almost 20years now. Everyone knows that our people are suffering, corruption is morethan the word it self. People would love to see such projects even when there is no elections, Zambians knows that doing that will make believe that you are interested in them. But this year people need change like it was in 1991, we are doing it for our children.

  33. #43 These projects have been there all along. There the ones that you and pf have been saying that they were started by Mwanawasa and that RB should not take the credit. The fact that you people keep changing the goal posts is indicative of the fact that you are unable to offer a credible rebuff to the massive development that is taking place under the very able leadership of RB.

  34. Late pilot developments,u people easily forget things fast.do u think that this hitachi will be commissioned?no way because this will be a thing of the past because its non existing in rbs’ mind he is just wana blackmail voters to vote for him.just wait and see how slow this thing will go,just to buy time for elections.

  35. The article stipulates that Hitachi will start with an initial $15m for the argument work of the investment and increase their investment capital as the business becomes favourable and the market opens up for them.

You do not just pump massive millions into a business without gradually assessing the Markets response, Overheads and in this case the Political Spectrum on the ground. When companies invest into a foreign land, they start by assessing Risk Management and the Market before offloading Capital unnecessary.

    cont..

  36. Similarly, investors buy into Equity, Futures, Options, Derivates or Stock Markets by increasing their Portfolios gradually whilst observing Market Resistant Levels, Market Support Levels, Risks and the Political Spectrums, especially that politicians are the ones that make or change regulations.

Hitachi is just being “mindful”, “heedful” just like any good or “shred” big International Investor that is out there on the global platform… It’s a practical way of looking at Investments Pyramids – as simple as all that, especially if go into unknown territory.

  37. #45 The 1
Hitachi is a multinational institution and you cannot expect this to be a hoodwink! These companies are in demand in the west. When they close their companies governments plead with them to stay and here you are failing to see the importance of this move! We have had Fiats, Technics radios and Land Rovers assembled in Zambia before. It is not new but those companies closed and went away because the atmosphere was not conducive. Whether one is MMD or PF or UPND, please receive good news for Zambia instead of throwing spanners in the works. What opposition should be saying is to encourage this and promise that more will come when they are in power. That is progressive politics.

    • Agreed. Hitachi a Japanese company will not and cannot be a part of political gimmicks. They are serious investors and make decision based on investment environment of a country. Nobody in his normal state of mind can find fault with Hitachi’s move to Zambia, near the source of their business.

  38. Yes #48 the thing is, those projects of Fiats, Land Rovers etc. – they failed. Let us try to analyse why they failed instead of going straight ku tarven to drink Hitachi

  39. @@ 46 & 47 Independence Observer, like @@26 Anti-corruption has said to you, we can only keep building Zambia. Tell these Kaponya’s with their negative attitudes all the time.

I guess that is why you work an Equity Derivates Trader in an investment bank, live in a £3m house and drive an Austin Martin, yet you keep a very low profile. I cannot understand why kaponyaa hate development so much, They will find anything to say to bring everything down.

  40. Hitachi will invest more when they know that the next Finance Minister is not Chishimba Kambwili. Even a pf kaponya would not want to see Kambwili as a finance minister and that is why they panicked when the shadow pf cabinet was published.

  41. Hats off RB on this one ” this is the only development / investment you have brought to Zambia not all projects full of nkhongole from China, this is no nkhongole ….but 20 pipo or 200 will be employed by end of this year????

  42. @48 Cellphone Banda
We know why these companies failed my friend.
    1. Have you heard of London-Rhodesia (Lonrho)’s Tiny Roland? He was what Edward Heath called ‘the unacceptable face of capitalism.’ Why? Because he pampered dictators in the developing world and never oppopsed their politics or economics.
    2. The socialist economics of the UNIP regime which put conditions to have a certain share of the capital in those companies as well as provide Zambian managers. Many of these were incompetent but as long as they toed the Party line, they were never sacked.
    3. The wars of liberation in southern Africa, meant that we had stiffer competition.
    4. Zambia was not ready for that kind of development.

  43. # 48 Cellphone Banda
FIAT failed because Japanese Cars overtook it in Zambai. In the 1970’s we had so many Fiat cars such 127 (aka Shopping Basket), GLS 131, GLS 132 Models. However, in 1980, when the Japanese Cars such as Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitshibushi came on the Zambian Market most people stopped buying Fiat Cars.
As well, VOLKSWAGEN (VW) came into Zambia heavily. It was trendy to drive a GOLF GTI than a fiat in the 80 & 90’s. The same tend happened in Europe. Fiat suffered a lot which lead to the company restructures itself.
    Cont..

  44. it is 20 INITIALLY who knows later they may employ after seeing how the business will be ticking. You people who are complaining, how many employees do you have?? I guess non not even a garden boy if you even happen to have a garden.

  45. LAND ROVER as a British Institution – simply collapsed and that’s why it got sold off and now is owned by TATA from INDIA.
TECHNICS, suffered due with lack of innovations; in the end, it was bought by Panasonic and eventually stopped making “Hi-Fi Separates” which was their stronghold on the global markets. Though Panasonic has kept the brand name Technics with Mini Hifi’s, Headphones, Musical Instruments and Professional Broadcasting Equipments, its no longer a force that it used to be.
Therefore, Fiat & Technics lost the Global Market share because they become sloppy with innovation and could not catch up.

  46. 15 million dollars on land acquisaition for a Mr Zulu from a public company. that could have done wonders. when people talked about wastefullness, this is what they meant. our problem is not that we are not attracting investors, but that we are very wastefull. there is therefore need to vote in good managers. people who can utilise the national resources carefully, and not always looking to the outside for investors or donors when we have our own resources

  47. Likewise, MICHAEL DELL started his company DELL COMPUTERS from nothing and overlapped all the giants just in the last 14 years – such as Olivetti, Comapq, Bell, Gateway, NEC, IBM Computers to become the #1 selling Desktop Machine. Why because, he has undercut the retailers by selling direct from the manufacture reducing the overheads. Hence, why his PC’s are cheaper

  48. FINALLY: …. In the Business World, you always have to stay ahead of your competitors, otherwise you cannot survive. It’s a DOG eats DOG World.

  49. Good evening

OK, a serious mind will not sit down and start talking when there’s work to be done. He will get down to business, bruise his hands and scuff his knees while everyone else is busy talking.

Whatever the political motives behind these huge investments, we should not forget is that our economy is largely dependant on these foreign investments for profitable growth. Construction machinery is a necessity in the building of proper infrastructure and that’s exactly what Zambia needs to fortify the foundation for future developments.

That’s my humble contribution for today.

  50. YOU GUYS DO YOU REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS. THIS IS NOT REAL DEVELOPMENT. FIRSTLY, IS HITACHI GOING TO PARTNER WITH ZAMBIANS? SECONDLY, DON’T YOU REALIZE THAT THIS IS SOME KIND OF IKEA FLAT PACK? meaning the product has already been produced and hitachi wants to find a cheap way of selling their product. THIRDLY, DON’T YOU KNOW THAT 15million US dollars is loose change for such a company? We need manufacturing companies that partner with indegenous Zambians rather than flat pack campanies seeking for a cheaper way of selling their already manufactured products in their own countries in order to avoid unemployment in their own countries.

  51. Why are people so excited over this cut price investment which will not benefit zambia albiet employing and handful of Zambians. The only benefactors to this will be the chinese businesses based in Zambia and the Chinese economy by its exporting another business unit to a docile country Zambia. How many Zambian owned Companies own mines in Zambia? Only a hand ful if any the rest are foriegn owned with zero tax on outputs.
This new Hitachi investment is a mere condiut for the chinese to yet siphone more wealth out of the country.
To start with this company wont pay any taxes on its inputs/imports unlike an indeginoius owned company in Zambia. And the chinese companies whose machinery or plant will be serviced will not even pay tax so the wealth will remain in chinese hands. RB RED CARD.

  52. Ba PF Kaponya , too dull too dull or to put it in the Zambia way dalu dalu dalu dalu imwe vi bana

Learn to read. Why can’t PF kaponyas read anyway?  The $15m is not the entire investment. That is just the initial investment to get the plant up by December. You said all they will put in is just $15. This is the first company to recognize Zambia’s central location. No doubt HITACH want to make big money by servicing all the mining activities going on in Zambia, Congo DR , Tanzania , Angola and where else to place the plant than Zambia.  Learn to read . There is no politics here ba ngwele dalu dalu dalu dalu imwe vi PF

  53. #63 Prudent Cashier, so why dont you start up a Zambian company that Zambians can benefit from and lead by example. Bla Bla Bla……..Typical kaponya vibes

  54. If $15 million is for the plant to manufacture heavy construction equipment, why are we spending almost $100 million to refurbish something that is already standing and functional at that amount? It is either Hitachi is building akalusasa or Banda is stealing using ZNBS and NAPSA. Which one is right for you MMD cadres? Probably you Cadres must understand that this is not a SIDO thing, you are talking about a place larger than Independence Stadium if it really is a manufacturing plant. So, Banda and team get your act and numbers in order. What is Hitachi building, a garage?

  55. KAPONYA’S Can you read this before you die with heartaches. The articles says
+++ Hitachi will invest an initial 15 million united states dollars, which is over 7.1 billion kwacha in the first phase of the project expected to be completed in December this year.++++
In words, they could be Phase II, Phase II, Phase IV and so on. You are as dull & dull as your Ex Policeman Leader

  56. People complaining about $15 million dollars! If Satanzania takes over, you will be lucky to see investments of $10,000 and we will definitely have more money in our pockets because the inflation will mean that the Kwacha is basically worthless.

  57. KAPONYA’s – Mulepana or Muzafunta this year, Ba mambala.- RB till 2016.
There is no turning back Just go to bed, you have lost the argument. Let decent & objective people keep posting comments. By the way, why do you keep coming back? Why cant you be posting your comments on your Vuvuzela website, The Post, which is sacred like a chicken to publish comments.

  58. @30, address such questions to mr sata, he was there in government when lenco went under so he should have the answers. agony is that mr sata has been in all governments in zambia and he has been an integral part of the worst of zambian policies in all governments to date. the sad thing is that he has never changed spots, still wants to take us back many years to the one party state, no voting, wamuyaya syndrome that he specialises in.

  59. For you Hitachi its a GARAGE. Keep dreaming you bunch of left overs. Always crying and living in the yesterday’s life.

  60. WHY IS IT THAT ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH WHAT THIS GOVERNMENT DOES IS PF? ARE WE ALL SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT WHATEVER RUBBISH BANDA DOES OR SAYS? WHAT HAPPENED TO INDEPENDENT CITIZENS, WHO DONT CARE WHO IS ON POWER BUT ONLY CARE ABOUT WHAT THE SITTING GOVERNMENT DOES?

  61. #27, You are right, only pea heads will think this is new. Marunauch or commonly called Mitsubishi had a big assembly plant right in Chingola and ITT Panasonic in Livingstone. Mwebaume lekeni ubufi bwakunya

  62. Too many  Development projects at the final point.Ati Ba Zambia Bawina icungulo!!!!!
Why din’t these things start some time back in 2009….coz we are only remaining with a few months to  elections..Anyway..Good for the nation.Donchi kubeba

  63. MMD fools, dont think its RB who has brought Hitachi Investment. It all started before RB come into power. Japanese people have been planning for this Plant for more than 5 years and it has just come to the begining when RB is in power. This are not RB’s policies but Mwanawasa’s. Dont fool yourself. Viva opposition

  64. This projext will not go anywhere..alabee has paid Hitachi to come and commission a project here in Zambia…Airport road?you can not have an assembling plant near an airport..are you mad?Go to to hell with you fulish projects

  65. # 40. Iwe ka Mushota, you silly economic migrant. You have no stamina to withstand the Zambian economic pressure and rise like an eagle. That’s why you are just a Gold Digger. Most of you guys in the so called diaspora do not even own ANYTHING apart from you arse! Us here, my friend, building mansions is the in-thing. When you’re tired of living in your cramped-up matchbox, you’re free to come and rent one of my delux villas. Meanwhile I’m laughing all the way to the bank $$$$$$…..!!!

  66. Okoma Atani? When there is no investment, you cry. When investment comes, you cry still. When the mining sector was almost collapsing in 2008, you were happy to see the government fail, but when the goverment acted swiftly and rescusitated the sector, you cried that you din’t want Chinese investors. And this is after your unemployed relatives got their jobs back! Strange indeed.
