Post Newspaper Editor Fred M’membe has lost a bid to cross examine President Rupiah Banda’s Lawyer Christopher Mundia in a matter where Mr M’membe is charged with contempt of court.

This is in the case where Mr M’membe is facing contempt of court charges for defying the court order not to publish libelous articles on President Rupiah Banda during the 2008 presidential by-election.

Lusaka High Court Judge Charles Kajimanga dimissed Mr M’membe’s application on grounds that his lawyers had not made a good case to warrant them an application to cross examine Mr Mundia.

Judge Kajimanga also dismissed the plea by Mr M’membe’s Lawyers to subpoena Mr Mundia as a witness.

The defence has however been granted leave to appeal against the ruling made on Monday.

We understand that Mmembe has a Law degree. Apparently, when it comes to practice this profession demands humans that are morally upright. Mmembe has met much more experienced Lawyers in the Courts of Law. Jungle tricks have no place in corridors of Courts. Mmembe’s insolence for despising other citizens serves him right. Who said that the sun shall not rise and set on daily basis as designed by God’s plan?

Judiciary, can’t you dispose of this case please? We are fed up of this Mmembe fool, I mean this case is as old as RB’s presidency. They say justice delayed is justice denied, in this case the judiciary is denying RB his rights.

POWER WITH CHARACTER IS FIT TO RULE; NOT POWER WITH ARROGANCE!

What we should all be saying to RBish is, “ufisanji mamabala iwe?????” I suggest we all start singing this on Fridays at mid day – “Ufisanji mambala iwe, ufisanji mambala iwe”, then we blow the car horns, then end with the same chorus!!!

Mr Mmembe and his paper has been on a crusade to demonise Rupiah Banda from the time the MMD chose him to succeed the late Mwanawasa. Through the Post, Mmembe has vented out his venom on RB for what ever wrong he has done. In his hatred for RB he has even befriended the man he very much attacked in the spirit of your enemy has become my enemy as well; lets get him. To my chagrin, gullible Zambians follow this man with a poisonous pen like hounds for a kill on who ever he points at. In some countries, it is a serious offence to publish hate articles which are a common feature in the Post.

Oakley top quality at the good cost. These sunglassesook good and have been a tiny part of the purchase price discovered at other shops.
