I wondered why we had so many presidential candidates but then remembered the game is called politics.POLI:a word derived from Greek meaning many and TICS meaning blood sucking creatures.

I think it is a good start for the gentleman. Come 2021, we shall vote for you. I am sure if you will be aggressive enough even by 2016 you could take up the slot to be left by Brig. Gen. Miyanda in zed’s polical landscape.

Elias Chipima = Oxford graduate, Successful lawyer/businessman, articulate, good mannered, issue based politician. These are the kind of people we need in Zed politics but unfortunately Zambia is a counrty were such attributes do not count for anything people prefer insults and primitive politics. Sorry Elias Zed is just not ready for your level of sophisticated brand of politics.

I would have prefered NAREP to have started building its grassroot structures by fielding councillors and MPs until 2016 to field a Presidential candidate. I pity Elias Chipimo Jr. I know he has a dream for this country. How are they going to field 150 candidates in all constituencies countrywide. There are to many presidentails candidates. Its free for all I wish NAPREP Good Lucky.

The President and Vice President from the same Province should be advised to go and contest the Presidency and Vice Presidency of the Northern Province. This guy is going to split Bemba votes. I am disappointed. Just support Batata ba Sata young man. The strategy should be 2011-2016 MC Sata; 2016-2026 Felix Mutati then 2026-2036 Elias Chipimo. Then it is upto our future generations to find our candidate after umwaiche Elias. Pa Bwaaaaaaaato!

I beg to differ with Umublacks. Zambia has been more than ready need I say desperate for issue based intelligent politics. Fear has kept back many good men and women who could contribute positively to the political process in Zambia. Fear of being ridiculed and insulted. I salute Mr Chipimo’s courage. Some may argue that it is misplaced. However, I cannot see us progressing beyond the current gutter politics until more people become courageous enough to say NO. I salute you Mr Chipimo sir, may others in the electorate rise above the petty politics, and seize the opportunity to demonstrate that we in Zambia are capable and ready to change our country for the better

#20 – Basa, please use facts to advance arguments. Mr Chipimo Snr is still very much alive so what estate are you talking about? Let us at least give credit to all who are fighting for a better Zambia whether Chipimo, Miyanda or others. Sata represents just a case of changing the bedsheet to be on top of the blanket. Sata and Banda come from the same political bed of mediocrity. Now that Sata sees how his friends have enjoyed Plot 1, he wants his share before he dies. What new ideas can he bring? He is old, tired, abusive and quite frankly SICK. If these are the type of people that we think should rule Zambia, then we have only ourselves to blame. Are we dull to have such a short memory of who Sata really is….UNIP (1991), MMD (2001), PF (2011) – recycled to secure Plot 1.

We need more of these young vibrant politicians, but as reality has it he needs to grow his reputation and gain the trust of the voters. In Africa dislodging a ruling party is no walk in the park, you really need to win convincingly i.e a close call will always be in favour of the ruling party. you should have come in 2008 and by now you would have been consolidating your constituencies and forcing a coalition in parliament.. try 2016 hopefully these old madalas would have gone into retirement by then.

Good luck Elias, you will need it. Though i also think this party should have started from the grass roots by contesting at ward and constituency levels. This is were i have my doubts on some of the motives of these guys.how do you come from no where really and expect to scoop the highest post in the land when people in most parts of the country hardly knows you?? Start some where, even Obama was a senator before becoming a president! I have observed all the male candidates were accompaned by their wives, where was this guys’s wife?? is he yet to marry or can the rumour be true that his got a special partner and his funding comes such organisations??? well some one tell me about my “future president’s” marrital status…

:o:o must say this blog has cracked me up. Problem in Zed is that everyone wants to be president. Surely if you struggled to 200 people for your nomination, what perecentage of the electorate do you expect to vote for you. probably not even half of the 200 who where there on your nomination day. This man should have either teamed up with HH..with the view of leading in the long term..or worked on popularizing his party and preparing properly not making a **** of oneself.
