The Patriotic Front (PF) is confident of winning next week’s tripartite elections.
PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba says the party’s confidence comes from the overwhelming support which it is receiving from all the nine provinces in the country.
Mr. Kabimba told Journalists at a media briefing in Lusaka on Friday that the PF has grown in all the nine provinces.
He also says the PF will continue to engage the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) in its administration of the elections in the country.
Mr. Kabimba also disclosed that the PF has trained 27 000 polling agents to monitor the elections countrywide.
And PF Vice president Guy Scott says his party has national character because of its popularity.
And Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi says her party will implement the decentralization policy if voted into office in next Tuesday’s elections for faster and efficient development to take place across the country.
Ms. Nawakwi says some districts have lagged behind in terms of development because decisions are made centrally without considering what the needs of the people in the districts are.

She says once in power she will ensure that all areas across the country equally benefit from the national cake.

In 2008 presidential elections RB asked the people of Eastern Province not to vote for HH because he is Tonga. MCS has never issued such a statement urging his suppoters not to vote for a particular president because of their ethinicity background. Again the same RB has thrown out all those who supported Magande for MMD presidency in 2008. Worse still he never appointed a Tonga cabinet minister. The same RB has never apologised to the people of
southern province for the killing of those innocent lives in Mazabuka.
