On behalf of President Michael Chilufya Sata and the entire Zambian People, I wish to convey to the Zambian Team, the Coach and indeed to FAZ our profound and hearty congratulations for the splendid performance at the African Cup of Nations.

The team has performed a feat in all the three matches. They were a joy to watch and have indicated they will be a force to reckon and contend with. They showed resoluble will, determination and focus. They played as a team and their pace was accompanied by flawless ball control and coordination. We are legitimately proud of our team and wish them well as they move forward in the balance of the tournament.

There is a clear message to all of us Zambians from our team, simply that if our country moves forward as a focused and coordinated team we will get to very high levels of development.

  1. where is Guy Scott? I think the position of Vice president has become redundant. It might save tax payers money if we just did away with the post since we can’t even trust him to act as president.

    • Hey just happened upon your blog from Google after I ertened in, Someone who inspires me. | International Adult Figure Skating or perhaps something similar (can’t quite remember exactly). In any case, I’m pleased I found it simply because your content is exactly what I’m searching for (writing a college paper) and I hope you don’t mind if I gather some information from here and I will of course credit you as the source. Thank you.

  2. @Musonda, You are a racist. Its not about trust. You should even be proud of your own.
2012 is for Zambia. Africa cup in Zambia. What a wonderful moment. I cant wait. Lets go boys.

  3. Thanks Mr acting president for encouraging words, but what happens when you meet the vice president.he gives you respect as acting president and gives you briefs as it should be or you try by all means not to meet each other in the absence of repulican president?

I think the dullest lawyer in africa had a piont…….i feal sorry for Mr SCOUT.

  4. #2 chef the definition of racist is as follows -a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others
my comment had nothing to do with racism, its actually dull to scream racism every time a discussion involving a white man arises. Since you brought it up isn’t the PF government being racist as they don’t deem Guy Scott worthy to act as Vice President.

  5. Well said Mr. Acting President,
Guys His Honour the Vice President is not bothered by this at all and not make a storm out of a tea cup. He is the Veep and Leader of Government business and his not Acting for now as we sort out legal lacunas in our constitution is not an issue, he delivered victory for the PF and he is a content man, unlike others whose ego is their worst enemy.
Your Honour the Veep, enjoy the matches as you sicharge your functions!!!! Bring on Angola, then Ghana and lastly Gabon in the finals!!!

  6. So the prophet of doom Kunda had a point after all. Guy is nowhere to be seen. Chikwanda A/Presido kaya and Guy real vice presido reporting to a mare Minister for that matter and yet I hear he is within the country!  Circus paZed. I end here!

  7. where is the veep, why cant he be the acting president??? these are valid questions, in the event that the president is called to heaven who will be president??? same mistake levy made making RB veep, MCS dont make same mistake, if there is an issue appoint someone else, this is not racist this is saving the country from RBish.

  8. G Kunda is an eminent lawyer. It’s strange that Kaponyas drew daggers at him, even calling him the dullest lawyer. Look who’s got the last laugh!! School is good.

  9. While i congratulate the team for winning, can some one explain why Herve Renard was shouting one of his technical bench members in front of the camera? That was embarassing and unaceptable.

  10. What has this got to do with DR. Scot, wasn’t this issue put to bed when it was explained that due to the loopholes in our current constitution he is not only eligible to act as Presido but also stand as one.

Let us put these cheap politics aside and cheers our boys on, what they did yesterday was anything but easy in a stadium where the home team had 90% of the crowd behind them.

    • madmarvelgirl Posted on I totally agree about Jean. They were only strinatg to get at the potential of that character when she died. Both times. (Both times she stayed dead; not talking about other times).I can’t think that I’ve ever drifted away from a story immediately following a character death, but I know that lineups definitely have an affect on my interest in following stories. I say I’m an X-men’ fan, but there are a lot of classic’ stories I haven’t bothered with because they don’t have Scott or Jean in them.

  11. VIVA Kunda, you were called all sorts of names and yet you are the best legal brain in Zambia at the moment in the absence of Levy. People dont SATA that when he spits angrily like that it means he is caught pants down.Shame on you PF carders who see nothing wrong or pretend to see nothing wrong with SATA’s behavious and illegalities.

  12. The president has a very peculiar way of running the affairs of the country. People are asking why the VP Guy Scott cannot act as president and we are getting no answers. If Chikwanda had been appointed VP and Guy Scott minister of finance would this arrangement be applied?

  13. This is what GK was stating before the biased media twisted his words..what’s the point of appointing Guy Scott VP when he can’t be acting President…Sata owes us an articulate explanation on this matter.

  14. y then the chap cannot act? was it a honorarly appointment for serving well in opposition before he is kicked out? with his reckless utterances recently that political parties should serve only 2 terms in govt won’t help making him popular among the career politicans though it was a wise thing it contemplate…any go go chipolopolo

  15. You people, whats wrong with Chikwanda to act as President? when Kabinga Mpande was acting as president you never complained and called for Lawless-lawyer George Kunda to step down.
Ba Scott is busy with monitoring cabinet ministers, and you know he is a farmer, he is busy with his crops too. Leave Scott alone.

  16. Hon. George Kunda’s comments on Guy Scott’s status as Republican Vice President had predictive value. Sata gave the post of Vice-President to Scott as a window-dressing stint to please the British who supported him on his election campaigns. Hence Kunda need not waste his time to drug the matter to Courts because the nation has vindicated his legal assessment of Guy Scott’s predicament in the PF Govt structure. The British are agonising for supporting a man who has joined forces to support Mugabe’s atrocities in Zimbabwe. Nepostism is very strong within the PF inner-circles – the reason why Chikwanda persistently acts as Vice President.
