Police raid George Kunda’s farm, recover various items

Former Vice President George Kunda

Former Vice President George Kunda

Police in Serenje have recovered various assorted items from former Vice President George Kunda’s farm in Serenje.

The recovery is part of the on going investigation of plunder of national resources.

Among the items that have been recovered included 46 bags of Mealie Meal, two sewing Machines, 10 cycle pumps.

Central Province Commissioner of Police SOLOMON JERE said the items were recovered this morning after an operation.

Dr JERE said other items recovered include MMD campaign materials and three vehicles which he said were recovered from Kabwe.

He also said a light canter has also been recovered from MMD Chisamba MP MOSES MUTETEKA.

But when contacted for a comment Mr KUNDA said he deserves some respect from the Police because he served as a commander of the armed forces, including the police themselves.

Mr KUNDA also said he enjoyed some immunity as he at times acted as President of Zambia and described the recovery as mere persecution.

Kunda will now lose his parliamentary seat as the evidence is there for all to see. After that, a long term in jail will make him sober up from all those ARVs

My dear I have always mentioned about policies and professionalism in Zambia. Can you say that if I buy 46 bags of mealie meal then it is corruption? I think we need to rethink and probably advise the PF to relook at the real issues we need tackled. We need a good constitution, employment and a lot of many other important policy issues that we have always dreamt about. PF, I think just work for us to attain an excellent democratic country. I know I don’t like GK reasoning and the way he cleverly changes posts but that should not mean to say I have to victimise him

    DO A COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS

PF is a boat of dry bones without basic logical thought capacity. Definitely Hon Kunda cannot fail to buy 46 bags of ubunga for his employees which i do myself on investment in Lusaka West. Just do a cost benefit analysis, you will see that after those bags go to waste by the time the case is cleared, Government will have spent 10 times more on storage and compensation for the damage to Hon Kunda for this malice besides replacing the stock. This is total drivel at worst clueless people can do.

this is like acussing a school teacher of stealing chalk and a board duster!
pf should stop overwheleming the judiciary with useless cases , and only go after someone if they have tangible evidence and they are sure they can get a conviction! the man is a lawyer in cab easily prove he has so many sources of income and could hace aquired this property though many other means!

Pathetic and waste of tax payers money to call this as plunder of national resources. I take this is at his farm and it is not far fetched that the 46 bags of mealie meal found at his house is actually produced from his farm. Police must exercise restraint in how they report such cases and minimise playing to the gallery all the time – this is ma rubbish

I do not agree on many issues George Kunda yaps, but he deserves respect. You are now embassing the ruling party. Police can you have respect the former VP. You talking about 46 bags of maize meal and two sewing machines and one light truck at a farm that Hon. George Kunda plundered the nation. George can afford more than that. And you call that plunder. Police, you are embassing us. Act professionally and do it silently until you have enough evidence. What a waste of resources and manpower hours for such an operation. why not go after the people who stole with our late president Chiluba and big fish in the current government and MMD who stole than wasting time on” poor people like George”. Have respect.

“But when contacted for a comment Mr KUNDA said he deserves some respect from the Police because he served as a commander of the armed forces, including the police themselves”. I tell you what George fimo fimo – the same police you were sending to arrest your opposers, the same police you and RB are today calling silly are the same police pursuing you. Ba Zed anything connected to plunder even if it is one grain of rice it will confiscated…lol

Hon Kunda, please as a man of Gog forgive them for unnecessarily persecuting you and your family. The Lord is there and all this will come to pass. Dr. Malama can you and your team get serious and stop harassing innocent Zambians

Central Province Commissioner of Police SOLOMON JERE should take a long breath and sigh and then seriously speculate on the impact of associating himself with PF’s insanity. Amwizyo Jere Tekanyani Ng’anga imusangeni. Reflect on your Christian principles. Dr. Jere should look around to discover that colleagues at his level work under stress for promoting a system of harrassment on innocent people. Sata’s life span is very short as God’s Hand will soon prevail to save this nation.

Dr. Jere; a true witch doctor indeed! I kept maize from my field translating into 100 x 25kg bags of mealie meal. Arrest me also. Kunda, a veteran ‘witch doctor’, can be pursued for more serious crimes other than what witch doctor Jere has revealed. Presido Sata, please fire Witch Dr. Jere. He is tarnishing the nation’s image.

Among the items that have been recovered included 46 bags of Mealie Meal, two sewing Machines, 10 cycle pumps. THIS IS CRAP. IF HON. KUNDA HAS WORKERS ON THE FARM TO FEED WHAT IS 46 BAGS OF MEALIE MEAL TO TALK ABOUT? TWO SEWING MACHINES AT WHAT VALUE and is their value beyond the means of Hon Kunda? 10 cycle pumps very basic equipment used on a farm. Again what is the value? Is that value beyond the means of Hon.Kunda. THIS IS BEING PETTY AND REFLECTS POORLY ON THE POLICE AND CORRUPTION CRUSADE.
