United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has labeled President Michael Sata a flip flopping President.

Mr Hichilema in a statement released to QFM News says President Sata has changed positions on many national issues such the windfall tax, street vending and now the Barotseland agreement.

He says it is President Sata’s past statements, his alleged flip flopping habits and his deafening silence on UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon’s advocacy on gay rights that is worrying.

Mr Hichilema has demanded that President Michael Sata gives the nation his position and that of the PF on gay rights as advocated for by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon who visited the country last week.

He says the UPND believes that as an African and Christian nation, Zambia has no place for gay rights.

He explains that the scriptures and the country’s culture which are a guiding light are clear on the matter.

Mr Hichilema further states that the country’s existing laws do not allow for this practice, adding that as Africans, culture which is protector of morals does not permit this practice.

He adds that UPND believes that for civility and national stability to continue in Zambia, gay rights must remain outlawed.

  1. Sata does not make laws its the MPs…what wrong with this guy?….even if he supports homosexuals the issue wont go anywhere.

  2. Well spoken HH. This Sata of a President is worrying us in the manner he is running govt. Zambias are in for hard times under his leadership.

  3. HH u already know that by law homos have no room in zed so why the fuss, clever MCS is quiet bcoz he knows gays chaps are not welcome so do u want him to spell it out for u? nigger please…..if u want national stability tell ur fellow tongas to stop protesting over re-alignment so that PF can do wat they say they want to do…I think u will be given credit if u do that…u want to win 2016 elections.? support PF moves since u believe they are bound to fail coz then that will work to ur advantage…hire me as ur adviser and u will surely win…

    • Iwe Kudya Nikusheta, I truly want to doubt your level of thinking. This is a serious matter globally and lots of nations are talking about it ether for or against!!!!!!! The UN mentioned it verbally and presidents are posting their views on behalf of nations verbally too. Quitness means concert “iwe mune” so the President has to voice out and let UN know that Zambia will not support this nuisance. Mugabe talked about it, Obama talked about it, Brown and so many others talked and are still talking about it! For once leave Tonga people alone in this issue and if you are gay, concentrate on nursing your annual wounds “Mambala”. Government speaks for the nation and the president is the country’s figurehead and nerve centre so let him speak aloud other than remaining mute.

  4. Well said. It is good to see the opposition providing checks and balances on govt.

Sata and Govt should come out clean on this issue. If they dont, people would conclude that PF and govt support gays. This will cause PF to lose a lot of support from Zambians.

  5. Sata is queit because he cant make a decision. He wants people to decide for him. This country is on auto-pilot bcause sata is incompetent. He also knows that a number of his catholic priests are homos so he is in a fix!

  6. You are correct on flip flopping. But it is better for Sata not to answer Ban Ki because he does not want the Malawi saga to happen in Zambia. Silence is the best way to treat Ban Ki. Sata has important issues to work on rather than spending time sorting out bottom issues.

  7. Let HH and Join forces with Ellias Chipimo so we can get rid of this fossil generation of leaders, they got no clue about leading the country.Sata clearly has failed to perform.Instead of changing systems in place,he should try project implementation in key sectors-infrastructure development, major civil works, getting ZCCM to get a stake in all major mines and enabling them to start building their own smelters and refineries, embarking of improving the water reticulation system, start building hydro pwer stations, put up a coal power plant in Mamba,re-establish car manufacturing industries.Way he is not sure, let him consult Prof.Clive Chirwa,HH and other think tanks in Zambia.Let him start doing the ring roads and open up the country.we need a road from livistone to Solwezi…thats more jobs!!

    • HH with NAREP? that cant work because your HH is too selfish and only want Tongas. So pair him with MMD failures and brilliant Chipimo!!!!!!!!

  8. HH is right! The President and his government CANNOT be silent on this obnoxious matter.

Furthermore, Ban Ki Moon should be proscribed a “persona non grata”  to Zambia by the Zambian people through its legal representatives, for causing injury to our internal relationships in Zambia.

If African heads of government can be banned from entering some countries, why not ban a representative of a club of nations such as the UN?

Come Sata, where is your sting for Mother Zambia, where is your benevolent venom for putting Zambian and Zambia first?

Have you evolved so quickly from being the man for Zambia, to joining the ordinaries we have had for leaders in the past?

Come on PF, stand up for Zambia!

  9. Now what do you want from Sata if you claim the laws are already in place to deal with this issue? Can we concentrate on developmental issues?

May be you want to change the law!!

  10. Spot on Hichilema, let the Cobra come out clean on this barbalic vice spearheaded by Mnembe and The Post.Continue skinning them alive.!! they did them to Mwanawasa,RB.Its now their turn to be checked on 24/7.! Good one !!

  11. SATA was the best friend of first homosexual late Mr. Memagas the gay sata did MERZAF FLATS DEAL TOGETHER so he knows what he met last year when he told those bazungus that there are laws on gays in zambia only needs to be implemented. CHANDA CHIMBA III and Dora Siliya publicized this but u zambians said no CHANDA CHIMBA is mad and u called DORA LOTS OF NAMES. BUT NOOMBA MWABONA

  12. Its a weakness by government to fail to tell off Moon that his calls have no room in Zambia. How could he travel all the way from his office just to preach HOMO when he himself has never screwed a fellow man.Its such practices as HOMO that have contributed to spread of HIV which unfortunately seem to be hitting the Black Man harder.Wake up let him take his aid money somewhere else

  13. #1. ITS NOT FOR SATA TO SAY OR CONCERT TO THE GAY RIGHTS. ITS UP TO THE ZAMBIANS. SATA IS JUST ONE OF THE ZAMBIANS. IN FACT PEOPLE SHOULD BE POINTING FINGERS TO PARLIAMENT AND NOT SATA AND PF. WHAT HH HAS SAID IS WHAT ANYONE WHO YAPS B4 THINKING CAN SAY. AS USUAL HH DOESN’T THINK B4 SAYING SOMETHING. HIS LOSS IN PAST ELECTIONS HAS REALLY TAKEN TO HIS HEAD. PIPO, QUERY THE PARLY!

  14. #6 YOU ARE SPOT ON. CLEVER MCS IS DOING A DONCHI… THE YOUNG UNDER5 BOY IS GONE INTO YAPPING FOR ATTENTION SEEKING. IF YOU THINK SATA WILL WASTE HIS TIME TO COMMENT ON THIS ISSUE SOONEST YOU PROBABLY DONT THINK.

  15. Look at the Guy’s left eye, alibaila naimwe. He equally assured some fools that he would make sure Sata does not become President. Its politics, play them HH, experience comes from there, giv the big man break!!!!!

  16. Surely he is and big disappointment to the Zambians. HH this is your time to make Zambians understand what they are missing in State House.
    Tinazigonga seka pa Zed.

  17. we need strong opposition leaders like HH,KEEP IT UP for ur commintment on behalf of the zambian people,,let 2016 come,we are going to knock out those old people in government and bring in fresh pipo,,SATA IS OLD LET HIM GIVE UP COZ HAS FAILED TO DELIVER.

  18. #27 You are a disgruntled southener _Your HH will never rule this country considering he has no experience in leadership.i wonder if the guy held some potfolio in school(prefect/captain) & even in section level. So do not think us zambia are as blank as you are. you are just exposing your iliteracy level on this forum

  19. He is just trying to win public Sympathy. He could have remained mute if He was in Government. Some time its important to keep quiet and observe…

  20. Well there is nothing for Sata to comment on. Remember Zambia is a member of the UN and Ban Ki Moon was speaking as Head of the UN which has accepted the gay issue. Therefore it does not mean that he Ban Ki Moon believes in the same gay issue. Only those holding LITTLE titles like HH, George Kunda can speak freely on the matter. I hope i have made the point clear

  21. hahaha “Don’t ask, don’t tell” (DADT) is the official United States policy on homosexuals. And in Zambia “Donchi Kubeba” is the same official policy of PF on homos.

  22. What silence? I am sure that Ban ki-Moon’s message was first delivered at state house before it went public at KK house. No, sorry guys, I am not suggesting anything. I am shhiiii, left everything to Chanda Chimba III who knows these things better.

  23. HH, what really is your real issue with Sata? Is because you lost to him, or is it because people now see you for what you really are-an ignorant politician? Or maybe it’s because your own party is starting to disown you? Waht is it man? please I beg you to just shut the hell up, please! Listen, even if Sata stood firm on all the issues you’ve raised, is the LAW made by Sata? I had at one point leaned toward supporting you but, with time you continue to lose ground not only as an opposition leader but as a politician…period. It’s time to let it go my friend, let it go! Fine, you’re entitled to your opinion(s). I respect that. I say, shutdafukup and that’s my opinion. Now respect it.

  24. The bulletin from HH is presidential material. This is what we needed at State house and not some auto pilot with no direction but firing realigning, renaming, rehiring total confusion in the country.I will not be surprised to hear that Zambia has been realigned to congo kikkikikikiki

  25. Jabulani and Mupondo, you seem to fail to see the point of what HH is saying. How many times are you going to defend Sata even on matters where he is clearly wrong? Sata is known to open his mouth even when he should keep it shut, so it is strange and funny to see him totally quiet on the matter of gay rights. He has to say something. Is he in support of gay rights or not? Even Fraud Mmembe is LOUDLY quiet! So is Father Bwalya! Surely something is wrong here…

  26. BA SATA is right not to respond to ka hh somtimes it is good to keep quit than just jump on any issue that comes to gain some sympathy it wont work for the bantustan hh ,in bemba we say TONDOLO MUSUMA period.Ka hh you are really a ka under 5.
