Vice President Guy Scott said that the PF government is working hard to get rid of MMD cadres who are still serving in the civil service.
Dr Scott said that the MMD cadres are making attempts to sabotage the PF government operations.
And Dr Scott has defended the appointment of PF cadres in the civil service. Dr Scott said that the PF government cannot neglect cadres who ushered it into power.
The Vice President has advised PF cadres to have confidence in the government that the voted into office because the administration is determined to develop the country.
Dr Scott said this in Mufulira on Sunday when he addressed PF cadres.

That is stupidity of the highest level – in the same sentence, you say the one thing and immediately contradict yourself! You say you don’t want cadres in govt (during mmd) at the same time you want cadres in govt (during pf ). Mr Muzungu, we expect a bit more from you – is that too much asking???

There are a number of professional civil servants who have been dismissed and so we now know the reasons; they think all hard working civil servants who have in the past died a little for their country have been mmd. God most of the civil servants have no strong political affliations that would affect their work. They merely look at government policies and try to implement them to the best of their ability. It is very saddening to note that these people are now in the streets and are to be replaced by cadres. :(

What qualifications does he have that warrant this appointment and where does this leave you qualified Zambians who are non partisan? Sata you are a let down. We have young Zambians working as financial analysts and accountants in banks and mining companies here, we also have IT specialists, etc etc…. They are non partisan and all feel let down by this useless govt. Government can benefit by encouraging all these great minds to return to Zambia and contribute to the workforce. When the government is suppose to be helping build Zambia and Africa, oh no! They are off splitting our wise state of Eastern province and making part of it muchinga really! Why not build three more Universities. Diversify the food production and education curriculum? Export our excess maize to Somalia, Ethiopia and Elitrea they are facing possible hunger this year again.

First two years were fine then Chiluba lost his mind. Greatest and most notable thing Chiluba did was declare Zambia a Christian nation.
well,iam afraid to note that most of the bloggers here have missed the cadrelism name,a cadre is a die hard supporter of a party or religous organisation,but it doesnt mean they are UNEDUCATED or they are not professionals.its just that they are assimilated in the philosophy of the party and the party feels secure that they are the best excutor of their manifesto,of course they are some posts that do not need cadre mentality such as board of directors,ps,& many more.the pf govt has erred becoz it promised us against this trend which the mmd did,but its better to have only 20% cadres in the civil service but their is no political party on earth that has no cadres in govt.
well i find all this to be absolutely stupid… A cadre, whether mmd, pf or upnd will always be a cadre. So let s say pf looses elections, obviously the next party will also have to remove the previous regime cadres, again… This is all short term planning!!! these plans are not for the long term strategy. This whole cadres in government debate is very shallow. Lets all take some time to understand the definition of a cadre and you will understand my point. In my opinion a cadre is simply any person that is associated or affiliated to an organisation in this case all persons that sympathize with the PF are PF cadres starting from Sata right down to the last member. Is it possible that a person with a PHD in economics should also be considered a cadre???.. Bottom line is lets get people with the right qualifications and leadership quality into Government. Whether they are cadres or not is IRRELEVANT.
