Nevers Mumba accuse PF of assuming office fraudulently based on fake pledges to the people of Zambia

Time Posted: March 14, 2012 7:41 am
Dr Nevers Mumba

Dr Nevers Mumba

Aspiring MMD Presidential candidate, Nevers Mumba has continued lamenting the loose in the September 20th polls accusing the Patriotic Front-PF-of failure to fulfill campaign promises.

Dr. Mumba has therefore accused the PF of assuming office fraudulently based on the fake pledges to the people of Zambia.

He has also questioned more money and more jobs if all there is to show is street vending for the young people.

And Mwata Kazembe of the Lunda people of Luapula Province has asked opposition political parties to remain firm in the face of many challenges.

The Mwata says opposition parties are relevant for any democratic dispensation owing to the provision of effective checks and balances to the ruling party.

He has also questioned more money and more jobs if all there is to show is street vending for the young people.

He said this when MMD Presidential aspirant, Dr Nevers Mumba and the entire Luapula MMD Provincial leadership called on him at his palace.

Meanwhile, The MMD in Luapula province says the party is still intact and strong. Luapula Province MMD Chairperson Emmanuel Chungu says the party just needs to be reorganized.

Mr. Chungu told MUVI TV news in Mansa that the party leadership is working at motivating members and make them accept the fact that they are now in opposition. He adds that the MMD will participate in the governance of Zambia by providing checks and balances.

Why do people talk about 20 yrs all the time. Can only be young people.

Look, KK’s reign led us into a hole economically, 90% of the economy was in state hands. As a result the economy collapsed resulting in massive shortages of even basic things like soap, cooking oil etc. We voted MMd into power to privatise the economy. They did a great job though not perfect. Sata, Guy Scott and a lot of PF mmembers were in Chiluba’s govt when all this was happening. Liberalisation has saved Zambia. What we need now is to build on that. MMD came into power in 1991, Sata left MMD in 2001 when Chiluba skipped him to pick Mwanawasa for president.

So dont just blurt 20 yrs!!

Fools are the people who put PF into power. PF never went to state house by a coupe. No!!!!!! They were voted into by conciuos individuls who even went out at 02hrs naked to dance upon being told that Sata had won. So where is the problem?????? NO PROBLEM PEOPLE GOT WHAT THEY WANTED. You see zambians are *****. Even to date some naive people are still saying give PF a chance!!!!!!! So what is the fuse about. People are enjoying perhaps because they have been bewitched. Ba Maxwell, you said “…. You see zambians are *****”. I bet to differ with you on this point. I trust the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise, they are really smart, smarter than any of the politicians around. They know what they want and usually get what they want and every politician who underestimated them had a rude awakening. KK thought the same way, he thought they were ***** and they kicked him out of office. FTJ got the power to his head thinking they were ***** and they kicked could not give him a third term, RB was just beginning to think that way too he ended up the first as a one term President.

I trust the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise, they are not afraid to take calculated risks and they always win. I bet to differ with you on the ***** stuff.

They say a short pencil is better than a long memory. How ironic that can we forget so easily, and so quickly what was happening in Zambia not long ago. We need to relax and be calm. 2016 is 4 years 6 months away. It is just too early to announce the results of this game. Our best days are absolutely ahead of us as a country.

Let other parties say this because MMD also ousted KK on false promises and were kept in power for 20 years because of rigging. People were suffering because KK had stolen billions of Kwacha MMD claimed. During the last elections MMD was not in a position to make false promises because for 20 years they had failed to implement them. For the time being it is unfair to compare six months with 20 years but this time around we should not wait for another 20 years.

Dr Mumba is simply saying Mr Sata promised Zambians in short development among numerous pronouncements. The basic issue is what has PF done or strategical indication of development? Thats what we are looking for. What tops PF doing? Creation and allignments of districts? That unbudgeted money can complete hospitals, schools and healthy centres initiated by MMD currently at stand still. Unemployment is rising the economy is nose diving and civil servants are threatened, universities are closing up and youths are without money in their pockets. So, whats up?

We agree with PF on corruption fight and this was effectively initiated by late president Mwanawasa. Ofcourse those found guilty should face the law to take its course. However, PF guys are not the best to fight corruption, for within themselves are corrupt leaders. Late president Mwanawasa was closong on Sata’s corrupt practices committed that led LPM to resign initially. That case is alive its a matter of time. Numerate the successful story of PF govt so far or the truth will be what Dr Mumba says “Mr Sata assumed plot 1 based on fraudulent and fake promises made to Zambians he can hardly fulfil. We differ in the way we think. But, the question still remains, how do you become patient when your colleague is going straight into the ditch? If you are normal, you are supposed to quotion him and not to be patient with him!!
How can we be patient with SATA when he is not even patient with himself?
How can we trust that he is making good decisions for our country when he himselves knows he is making wrong decision and that is why he keeps reversing them??
How can we rely on SATA’s decisions when himself cannot reply on his own decisions??
Zambians are appearing not to be serious minded people because of the wrong picture being painted by our current govt!!
Very sad indeed to have to bare with the situation we are in, amazing though to see some people happy with it!!
