Opposition movement for multi party for democracy MMD presidential aspirant Nevers Mumba has charged that it is pointless for the patriotic front to blame the previous regime on almost everything.
Dr. Mumba says that the MMD brought a lot of relief to the Zambian economy which even international ratings organization noticed. Dr. Mumba says that under the MMD regime, the economy performed to the best of expectations which is currently dwindling.
He says that the language being used by some members of the patriotic is slowly threatening the country’s economy. He added in an interview with QFM radio that Zambians can remember how stable the currency was.
He says that foreign investors are not encouraged because of the attitude the government is portraying to such matters.
Meanwhile, Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi has charged that the decentralization policy can only be implemented with new the republican constitution in place.
Ms. Nawakwi states that political pronouncements will not yield positive results with regards to implementing the decentralization policy.
The FDD president has therefore called on government to speed up the constitution making process and come up with provisions that will support decentralization.
She has also observed that government has not shown tangible commitment in fulfilling its campaign of ensuring decentralization apart from creating more districts.

Dr Mumba is pointing out things that are a threat to continued economic growth left by the last govt and instead, PF is on a chorus of blame game on every thing. Failure to honour promises made by PF and Mr Sata to Zambians can not be blamed on MMD. PF cadres harassing HH during the funeral of mrs Wina is blamed on MMD by Kabimba. The Kwacha poor rate show on international market is blamed on MMD. When is the PF govt going to take charge of their own successes and failures? # 1 May be PF belong to their rightful position of opposition, thats where PF needs devotion to bring much needed promises they made to Zambians.
What he is talking about in inconsistences coming from govt. Go to school for you to grasp what the elite are talking about.

MMD only brought relief to their own pockets and yours that is why you are defaecating from your mouth and not your arse. The IMF and World Bank, not the Zambian people also benefitted, hence the praise. If they did make tangible improvements, they would still be in power.So pleae do not insult our intelligence.

Mumba forgets easily. UNIP blamed colonial government,MMD blamed UNIP, PF is blaming MMD, The next governing party if there will be change will blame PF or else there would be no need to change governing parties. You preside over everything so you are blamed on everything that went wrong during your term.
Aweeh its true Dr Mumba, this government is quickly becoming a government of failures mweeh. Its behaving like a bad carpenter who always blame his tools. When is it going to settle down and start providing direction and leadership kanshi? I like what Mwanawasa did, he didnot blame Chiluba but sat down,accepted the situation and sought ways to improves the livelihood of the people. Because of his good his leadership qualities and policy, his good effects are still being enjoyed even by the PF themselves.

Because the MMD was in power for 20 years. Asking the PF or anyone else to stop blaming the MMD for doing what they did when they were in power, is going to be less successful than asking the MMD to own up to all the crimes they committed, all the bribes they took, and all the opportunities that were lost while they were ‘attracting foreign investment’.
And they should not take credit for the historic rise in copper prices, which they had no control over.
