Government has with immediate effect dissolved the Youth Development Council board of directors. Youth and Sport minister Chishimba Kambwili announced at a media briefing in Lusaka today that the current board of directors’ performance has been unsatisfactory as it has failed to perform in line with the PF manifesto on youth development.
Mr. Kambwili said that the decision to dissolve the board of directors at Youth Development Council is in the best interest of the country and the youths in particular.
The minister alleged that the board which was appointed in April last year comprised of MMD cadres adding that his office will soon appoint a board that will be expected to operate in line with the government’s vision to improve the welfare of the youths in the country.
Mr. Kambwili has since urged members of the dissolved board to surrender all property belonging to the council to the secretariat.
The Youth Development Council is under an Act of Parliament CAP 144 of 1986 mandated to register youth organizations, coordinate and regulate youth activities in the country.
The council is also the government’s principle advisor on youth matters.

So the Council will always be made of cadres of the ruling party. I wonder whether zambia needs such partisan bodies to be through an act of parliament. If Kambwili fills it with cadres, then it is corruption. The council is sponsored by my tax and i do not want to have cadres chewing my tax.
Who where the people on the Board? By their quality we shall see where there patronage was and also to compare the with the incoming Board.
Hopefully, the new board will be made up of qualified youth workers and not political party cadres.

Can’t they just say they are making a reshuffle? and are they now going to make one with PF cadres? so one has to be a cadre to actually own a position in one these councils. zambian politics really need a clean up.
I am already tired of this governement and they have nothing to show so far. Reshuffles everyday thats all they do.
We should put in procedures that stops these clowns from hiring cadres (PF, MMD and whoever takes power). Advertise these positions and have qualified people doing these jobs.
Kambwili is the worst cabinet minister Zambia has ever had since independence. each time the man opens his mouth to speak what come out of it are negative things that only help to make president sata and pf government and party unporpular. For how long shall MCS torerate this draconiac person to be in his cabinet? The man seems to be a wounded street fighter who respects no one. Actions of appeasements which have rocked pf government won’t delvelop Zambia but will cause much pain and distress to the already hurting poor. Employing cadres at the expense of professionalism is eroding the political, social and economic confidence the people had in pf and its government.

So what if it was made up of MMD cadres?  If they ascended to that council legally then the minister is wrong to dissolve it on political basis.
The dissolved must take this to court!

If Ministers cant follow PF Policies as stated by PF Secretary General what do you expect from others? they should have been given time to begin to perform after all PF itself has failed to deliver in the 90 days it promised this nation. I don’t for one minute believe that this is being done for the benefit of the nation, but for PF to give its cadres jobs. Most board’s have been dissolved and left vacant for months. Clueless Cluo threatens to remove MMD cadres in Councils; are there enough qualified PF cadres to fill in these positions? This whole range sweeping clean stinks. Innocent Zambians are being aggravated.
Give credit where it is due this man Kambwili is working we are seening fruits of his works germinating in Roan, not long ago Sata was being labled as harsh and arrogant called names but we used to see his works and today he is President. Let Kambwili do his job for the people of Roan and the entire nation even if you call him names God is there to direct him
there are hard working youths who dont even mind this rubbish council just for show. what difference does it make. what these councils do is put everything in one box. educated youths should sy away  from this council. there are brainstorming Hubs were young people can get advice and knowledge. Bong hive is one new tech hub founded by a zambian and they come up with solutions young people can relate to in todays society. lets move away from talking politics all the time.

kambwili is an irratic firebrand nutcase with street cadre mentality. He makes decisions before thinking. How many of his kaponya decisions have been reversed ?. He is marred in corruption and nepotisim scandels up to his neck. He throws up deranaged patriotic behaviours that indicate mental probles now and again to cover his dirty deeds. Anyone with cash can bribe him. Sata dosent know what to do with him.

I am one of the members of the dissolved Board. It was embarrassingly partisan. But it will be wrong for Kambwili to throw away all the Board members and institutional memory will be lost.
This is the another stupid reason to give when disolving the board and it is absurd. So Chikambwili, Ichilukasu wants PF cadres to be in the board. I wonder what will happen when PF goes also, job loses which to me its a bad culture by our *****ic politicians.
