File:Praying ...Bishop Joshua Banda and Bishop Joe Imakando (r)

Northmead Assembly of God overseer Bishop Joshua Banda says there is need for issues surrounding the arms of government to be resolved in a comprehensive manner.

Bishop Banda noted that it is important that the operations of the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary do not disadvantage each other.

The clergy has also noted that it is also important for the political leaders to stop politics of name calling but instead embrace dialogue on issues of national importance.

Bishop Banda has since urged the church to continue praying and offering spiritual guidance to the country’s governance system.

Bishop Banda was speaking to QFM news in an interview.

  3. All the same my fellow bloggers let us surely continue to pray as Sata is not Zambia.
Things surely looks not to be so good in our nation and it’s our duty to pray as brothers and sisters.
God bless you all peace loving Zambians

  4. @1&2 Seriously, grow up. Don’t think by hiding behind a pseudo name you are released from all liabilities of your statements. What a man sows so he reaps. Soon you will reap what you sow even in the dark.

  5. I dont know why some people think things dont look ok in Zambia becoz for the first time Zambia has been liberated. If you go to the police station today, the police now are more help than before. Walk through the streets of Lusaka and CB, u see police patrolling traffic every where. The gvt has brought back the freedom of information bill, look through papers and you see gvt giving contracts to companies influenced by Zambians only. Awe things are better now mwee

  6. This government is heading nowhere but doom because they refuse to think never mind praying for them. How can they give a bus conductor from intercity bus terminus a job to represent Zambia in Namibia at our embassy?Well, it is now public information that, the daughter to our defense minister is now laughing all the way to the bank.Just like Chikopa ,she is now filling her bank account with bus loads of tax payers cash. The ex cleaner at Victoria station in London was good at cleaning, but he is not and will never be a good President.

  7. Well said Bishop!!! The challenge with Zambian politics (or is it the current presidential powers in the constitution, make him almost untouchable) and with our politics of appeasement, cadres never want to hear divergent views. The judiciary standing strong is key to the success of the president himself and not otherwise. No one is condoning wrong doings (if the judiciary has doing so). BUT DUE PROCESS OF THE LAW SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO TAKE ITS COURSE. And that is not much to ask for any prophesying democrat.
