Republican President Michael Sata has arrived back in the country from the United Kingdom.

The President, who was in the company of First Lady Christine Kaseba and his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations George Chellah, arrived at Kenneth Kaunda international airport at 06:00 hours this morning aboard a British airways commercial flight.

Mr. Sata was welcomed at the airport by Minister of Agriculture Emmanuel Chenda, who was Acting Presidents in the last one week, Vice President Guy Scott, Secretary to the Cabinet Evans Chibiliti and defence and service chiefs.

Others on hand to welcome the President were Permanent Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Amos Malupenga, Eastern Province Minister Charles Banda ,Senior Government officials and members of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).

President Sata did not talk to journalists at the airport but proceeded to his presidential chopper immediately after greeting dignitaries that welcomed him.

The president left the country for the United Kingdom on a private visit last week.

  2. It is hard to believe that he was in the UK, what was so important for him to miss the AU summit in Ethiopia and the China-African summit going on in China. Was our president in India again for medication? The truth will come out one day, God hates lies.

  3. To be fair to the president Uk is a very big place he could have been anywere Great Britain or Northern Ireland

  4. This is happening all over again, a president is dying right before our eyes and he together with his team are keeping the nation in the dark. We all know Sata has 5 serious ailements the South Africans diagonised him with when had that heart attack, with 3 being malignant. The man is dying now and we deserve to be told because we are the ones footing his bill.

    • @ terminal.ulikalitako saana.are you God to know who is dying and when, fact is anyone can die anytime.sick or not.large and by you will evn die before our beloved president.mind your remarks waumfwa iwe cikala.
      LONG LIVE OUR PRESIDENT..

  5. Priorities Mr.s President, it is such actions that make it seem you have no plan! Miss the AU Summit, miss the China-Africa meeting …. What was so important in London? Remember, we are watching and we are evaluating you. You are OUR property, not a King. You will have to account for all you do and the people will decide.

  6. Here we go again, welcome back home .God bless you sir and plz say something to the nation do not forget your nation.

    • Taliban that was what the reporters should have asked him at the airport before he went to the state house .coz now you will not see or hear from him again he will be recharging.

  7. Not to worry. Ukwa, CNP didn’t go to the UK for treatment. The man is seriously investing his money which has just fallen from above. We shall trace it!!!!! WATCH THIS SPACE.

  8. When will we Zambians learn? Tetamashimba warned us about Mwanawasa and tried to prepare the nation psychologically. Instead of heeding his advice he was vilified. Who tuned out to be right in the end? Who was left shocked? I have a very strong feeling of deja vu.

  9. what is that word they use nowerdays went to look for investors and the reporters should have asked at the airport why he did not tell the nation were he was .

  10. Sata was busy condemning RB for global trotting. what is this he is doing? Please lets learn to act on what we preach, otherwise just shut up and stop judging others because it doesn’t suit you! And for heavens sake stop giving excuses for your silly weaknesses.

  11. Lesa amupale, Think of Going to TB Joshua tapaba insoni shikulu, ask your sister Joyce Banda how much she has benefited from the SCOAN. At least i have told you, lwenu if you ignore

    • He should especially NOT go to TB Joshua. If he needs God’s help he should go directly to God. TB Joshua is just a man so stop elevating him to God’s level. Be careful not to believe in or worship a human being. God alone is worthy of praise and he will not share his glory with some prophet.

  12. Blogging these days has become cheap, no one speaks sence any more. I do not see any reason for me to start ranting about the president going to UK. Late the brother take a shiit privately.
The bottom line is whichever hospitals we go to we re all going to die. I can see a lot of experts in death above but what you guys do not knows some of u are going to die before that Sata you re wishing bad for dies. You stupi.d UPND campaign on your president being young but as voters we are not interested in dippers at state house. You will die hating while Bembas are busy voting.

    • be objective. Your  president is no longer a private individual hence the need to infirm the nation where he is and what for.

  13. Mwanya takafwe bwangu, the more you talk the more he will live,VIVA SATA VIVA PF- TITAMANGISENI, WE ARE CRAVING FOR QUICK RESULTS…..

  14. Welcome back sir but mukazi laila u just come in or sneak in shaaa but is it true he has come, ok where is mr chikwanda and GBM rumour has it they are by his bed side and it’s unlikely the president will be home soon . So to easy the tension hence this secrecy fake arrival of HEMS

  15. research @ the university of Stanford has demonstrated that politicians should have regular psychological evaluations to establish whether they are in the right mind to make decisions. l am of the option that we adopt this as a country. it will be healthy for our politics.

  17. Too much bufontini pa Zambia.

The President is not a slave. He has his personal freedoms and rights. He is also free to go on private visits. Whom do you tell that you are going away to some place? Besides, who would not travel without announcing, with all the public gossip in Zambia?

  18. HATERS WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD. MY COUSIN IS CRAVING WITH HATE I TELL YOU. YOU WILL NEVER RULE THIS COUNTRY WITH SUCH KIND OF ENVY. THE LORD SAID LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU I THINK MY COUSIN HIKAINDE DOES NOT READ THE BIBLE. TRY TO ASK HIM TO GIVE ME HIS EMAIL SO THAT I SEND HIM MY AUDIO BIBLE. MAYBE  HIS HEART WILL BE SOFTENED AND HE WILL LEARN TO LOVE ONCE AGAIN. I HATE YOUR BEHAVIOUR AND THE WAY YOU TALK BUT I LOVE YOU ANYWAY. MAY GOD CHANGE YOUR BAD BEHAVIOUR. THE PRESIDENT IS ENTITLED TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM AND AM SURE EVEN THE ONE WHO WILL TAKE OVER WILL DO THE SAME THATS THE CULTURE OF WE AFRICANS. LEAVE THE PRESIDENT ALONE.YOU ARE THE SAME PPLE WHO USED TO SAY HE IS SICK HE CANT FLY AND TODAY, YOU HAVESTART COMPLAINING.

  19. MMD must learn a thing or two from our party for example we do not see hungry women being humiliated by politicians at the airport anymore. Simply put the MMD culture of paying women who were not their wives 10 pins to go and dance at the airport everytime RB travelled was a scandal, was the worst form of slavery. May this humility continue.

  20. Has the balls and throat cancer been treated, now i know that is why owez the hands are in the pockets coz of the heavy balls.Shame on him,y did he fail to talk to media personels

    • WOOD 34 , You just sound like that foolish person who is so useless  and no feelings for any human. Remember be careful what you wish for, this might just be what you get to experience in your near future, Dont ever hate like a nonentity. Its such a shame to see youngsters use such vulgur language on a person worth being your dada / even your granny. have a concience when blogging otherwise your future …………… bleak.

    • #34.1 chimbwi with a plan,
You are quite right because this is exactly how Mr Sata mocked the late Mwanawasa and Mazoka. He ridiculed them and had evil wishes on them and now it is happening to him. He is even ashamed to tell the nation where he is going to and for what. Has he ever had any feelings and respect for any human being?

    • I remember some one talking of itoloshi lyapona when mazoka was sick. So we too ca talk of bamba yafina

    • If only your mother and grandma saw this;this is a typical example of a feeble minded chap who flaked his G7 and G9 only used back door, he/she can’t be bothered to type full sentences. To this chap everything is a “txt” message. I wouldn’t employ you as my garden boy on my yard.
      Shame on you!

  21. I don’t like the habit of him not talking to journalist whenever he returns, he should let them know in advance so that they stop wasting their resources.

  22. Am of the view that the ones who thought of social media did not invest their brains to provide a platform for people to hurl insults on old people. Mwe bantu learn from others and respect your HEAD OF STATE. Its very dissapointing to read comments like the one placed here by Wood. You have no right to insult an old man. But of course we needed to know he was leaving the country instead of just reading about the return. We dont even know the man who was Acting President for one week. Now that is very unfortunate.

  23. @Lion, were is Tetamashimba now? Ok Mr Presdo next trip pliz? oh sorry Kambwili and Shamenda have the Rota. I guest niku Papua New Guinea or Slovenia nomba….. Tititiititititi Amampolitics sure?
    Twapapata

  24. Helo Zambia and Zambia Watchdog are manned by frustrated fools. Why insinuate things you do not know? Are you not ashamed now with your fake story yesterday? You even linked GBM and A. Chikwandato your lies. Tell you Hungry Hyena to wait for 2016.

  25. Politicans like MCS are just innately ridiculous and their lives can’t bear the weight of much scrutiny…only in Zambia, can a Head of State just leave the country for a week on ” private visit” without informing nation; do not run for higher office if you are a reserved individual simple as that…we still do not know what he was doing in India in March, still has not hosted a major press conference at State House to talk about the economy.

  26. I am beginning to believe HH. I had friends at school who were dodgers. Always away from class. No plan.

    • Go on boy and believe your dreamer. Only problem is that his dream will never bare fruit. Hahahahahahahahahahaha

  27. CNP-UKWA KU U.K. BANA YENDA KUMU POMPOLOLA MAPWAZI. POSTRATE CANCER ILIBE SIZE. OSATUNDA MILOPA MUDALA WANGA. KEKEKEKE.

  28. But has anybody actually seen him? I wont believe everything is ok until I see him fwenkulaing with a pf chitenge round his waist.

  29. Insulting the president & each others parents is a curse and the above bloggers insulting should watchout how their days on earth will be affected by their sinful minds & tongues.
If the president is on leave or short holiday and decides to take a private trip, this is not reason enough to haul insults on him and each other. Though the president is a state asset, he is also an individual with a family. Kindly be sensitive enough to understand that his wife and children occassionally need his attention. Secondly be sensitive enough to realise that his children and family members occassionally visit these blogs! How would you feel if it was your parent?

  30. While you can afford, on tax payers account, to fly in and out of the western world for your medicals, we get to do the same with dual citizenship……….fair play boss, just sit back and do the right thing, not all of us can have the Zambian tax payer pay for our medicals like you so dual citizenship is the poor mans alternative among others.:)>-

  31. The nation has become very uncomfortable and rightly so, with the president’s two unexplained trips to the ‘UK and India’ and the talking has become louder and louder. For goodness sake what is now required is for the president himself to address a press conference to clear the air and answer questions from journalists.
By the way, where is ‘Nine Chale’ and what does he say?

  32. Make sure the Chinese build one university in each province. they want to spend $20 billion in the next 3 years.

  33. Imwe vi bantu, what privacy?? The president is reported as going to a summit in Africa, and pitches up in London, and you don’t have issues with that? Where is the tribalism there, eh? Niuzeni. Thats why we do not develop, because we do not hold our leaders – OUR SERVANTS, accountable. Watch Prime Minister’s questions in UK and you ll understand why they are where they are.

  34. Has GRZ ever considered what would happen if H.E passed on(Humans die)?Who would act?Chenda,Chikwanda,GBM,Dotty Scotty…???Better avoid possible future confusion now…

  35. Chanda Chimba III warned. His voice has become prophetic and timely. His was the voice of wisdom. Sorry Zambia you were conned again!!

  36. Private visit indeed. When there was so much going on for which our president could have attended. We will always speculate. There is nothing so private about a head of state going to UK. African leaders should improve health facilities in our own home countries to avoid people sneaking out to better health facilities elsewhere as though they thieves.

  37. When are WE going to WAKE UP TAXPAYERS, the Office of President is the  highest PUBLIC office in the land, not even Obama the most powerful president in the world can just up and go for more than 48 hours even if he is visiting Iraq, Palestine or Afghanistan or any other hostile region. If you want to find out when US President will be having his next holiday its an open secret the press are aware of it, issues like this are part and parcel of being TRANSPARENT and ACCOUNTABLE. If Buffoon RB was collecting travel miles on the GRZ presidential jet in the selfsame way and calling it “Private Visits” MCS would be the first one to make a public announcement to criticise.

    • Presidents do make private visits without the nations knowing, eg the British premier went Kabul  yesterday and we are only told of his visit when his plane had left Kabul today… President Obama has made plenty of  foreign visits too, eg to Iraq, Kabul etc…

So yes, they do make privates visits and informs the nations only when they are back home.

    • This is not rocket science..PM Cameron only does that when he is flying over hostile regions in the Middle East, most of the time the press is aware of this but only release the  information after 12 hours, who do you think travels with him? the British Journalists, BBC journalists in the past have been sacked for releasing this information to the public too early… so what’s our President’s excuse that he needs 7 days AWOL!

    • When PM Cameron was in Kabul yesterday we were only made aware of his visit when he was already out of hostile skies flying back to London; FOR SECURITY REASONS do you know how many suicide bombers the Taliban and Al Q would send to Kabul if they were furnished with such information; just to attract PUBLICITY!

  38. Efyo bamba ififine, Vasco Da Sata. You are following RB footsteps, you are becoming a tourist in your own country, You come back to Zed, a new district here and there , you fly out.

  39. I think it explains why the man always has his hand in the pocket and it always looking agitated like he has ants in his pants, the bollocks are swollen and rotting away. When boys are in their teens, they have a hard on every time they see or just think of a girl whence the hand always in the pocket. It CNP’s age, ukuboko mwitumba is advanced and malignant prostate cancer. He was pissing blood going to India, now it is yellow margots. Elyo lekeni lunye lwakwa Ukwa Y’Ardua.

    • KALE BAAMBA UKWIKATA MU MA TUMBA NINSHI BALIFYE ABALUMENDO CHALIBELELA-NINSHI CHILAKUKALIPA SW******N*

  40. @ EX ZIT, Tetamashimba is with the LORD. Tetamashimba was certainly right with what he advised should be done. It is people like you who will be at a total loss when what is inevitable happens to Sata. The question you should be asking is whether it is kind to push a sick man in this way. Is it not heartless to do so?

  41. Welcome back Mr President the nation missed you. Take a day rest and tomorrow back at work. More jobs and stabilization of kwacha should pre-ocuppy your office and that of ministers. We can only wish you all the best.

  42. I only have a problem with one group of people here, those who think it is right for His Excellence to leave the country without saying where he is going and pitches up when he wants.

  43. #4 snoopy dog. Yes he is a very sick man. just see his press conference he had in the UK . Zambians asking him questions.

  44. Leaders of countries such as the UK, USA or even Israel have left their countries incognito for security reasons. But on arrival in countries such as Iraq, their presence has been made known. Sata is not among leaders who need to leave the country in a security shrouded manner. Thus, in the public interests, the nation should have at least known that he would be away. With all the speculation going on, it does not auger well at all for public confidence in the political order of the day.

  45. @ lion. Tetamashimba was right. When a leader is clearly unwell we should start thinking of preparing a succession plan. We should not behave like ostriches with their heads in the sand. Sata is on his way out. Even Chipimo who went to Brazil reported back that Sata is unwell. Let us learn from the Mwanwasa experience.

  46. But guys you are hurting with hatred and chocking grudge. LT reported last week that the President will travel to the UK. It was announced here on LT and I read it. This is a problem of always visiting a tribal website Zambia watch Dog which always reports lies and falsehood. You devils learn to respect the president if you were to have your HH respected if ever he becomes president. Know that God in heaven is recording the insults you have been throwing at the president. One day you will give an account.

  47. # 70 Truth Hates. Our source of news can not come from controled The Post as its part of PF and Sata, Times of Zambia is no longer independent, Daily Mail can not be relied upon either as its boss capitulated in parliament that they do not report factually. Current govt has obliterated all freedom of information. To that effect we depend on blogs, instant messaging and other electronic news media as our source and have prooved valuable to the extent of uncovering lies, falsehood and hypocricies perfomed by PF goverment. Do yo deny that Mr Sata is a sick man? this can only come from other sources. He sneaked out of the country as if a thief and the nation doen’t know who is incharge of national affairs. Zambian need to be respected with morals that define us as a nation.

  48. #70 – life is like a Merry Go Round. The same treatment he gave to Levy is the least he should expect. We need to get three independent Zambian doctors and a sangoma to examine Ukwa, not foreigners! I mean, the chap might be infected with Chiwewe ca Nabwalya mu Gurumuthu (CNP) only a Sangoma can diagonise.

    • #74,
Although your comment appears funny and left me choking with laughter I think it is very serious and those close to the president must take note before it’s too late.

  49. WELCOME YOUR EXCELLENCY THE OTHER DAY I APPEALED TO YOU TO PUMP SENSE INTO RTSA, ITS BOARD AND TRAFFIC POLICE TO GET SERIOUS WITH DRINK DRIVING!!!! WE HAVE SINE LOST LIVES IN THE LUMUMBA ROAD ACCIDENT, A CLEAR CASE OF DINK DRIVING. I WAS IMPRESSED BY EMILY SIKAZWE’S FOLLOW UP REMARKS ON THE SAME TOPIC. IN ZAMBIA RTSA AND TRAFFIC POLICE ARE FAILING US! PLEASE ENACT AN APPROPRIATE SI AND A FAST TRACK COURT. OFFENDERS MUST BE CAGED FOR ONE NIGHT AND SENTENCED BY A COURT THE FOLLOWING DAY EITHER PAY K1,000,000 OR 1 MONTH SIMPLE IMPRISONMENT. PLEASE PLEASE BUY ALCOHOL METERS 2O FOR LUSAKA AND 2 FOR EACH DISTRICT. THEY WILL PAY FOR THEMSELVES!

  50. #74 Terminal Mutima Patient,
Although your comment appears funny and left me choking with laughter I think it’s very serious and those close to the president must take note now before it is too late.

  51. surely the President needed to say goodbye when he was leaving, should have kept in touch with the nation and addressed the nation upon arrival at the airport. Not good to be sneaking in and out in your own country!

  52. All you UPND guys are as irrelevant as the people from a province we wont mention. I have stayed in more civilised countries and a president or PM does not have to announce to anyone that he is going away and who will be acting. The press will know and publish. But if he is on a private visit, why should he tell you where he is going? You want to know if he is going to the toilet? You are not real Zambians because you wish he was ill and dying. But he wont. HH will never win even if Sata went today or in 10 years. Be realistic and count the economic impact of more elections. Who is HH? Cheap politician at best. He is no longer a professional people respected him for.

    • people like you are amazing, total delusions! you should learn to stick to topics. just your first line is enough confusion… get a life my friend…

    • you mean people of western province? You stupid fool. of course Sata went to UK for his treatment, no one wishes he is ill because it is obvious he is a sick man both mentally and phyisically. He must have gone for shopping – the big fool, lyanganu tuni. masipa a mina kaufela mina.

  53. Masipa ni minungu ya mina kaufela muyemela sanganu sa mina Sata. Linja tuni, mawawa tuni.mu kaisee, bo namalyanga tuni.
