  1. The Police Officers where all busy deporting a honest priest to Rwanda, and partying for their 3 new Permanent secretaries for nothing.

    • You mean what a sad weekend for all zambians….
Don’t you think its time we all stop this fighting…remember it can only
      Get worse…

Finally to anybody that responds to this am not asking for insults ..

    • The dead are ngoma, nkonde, kalenga and Iwile. Whether the 4 are all Lozi doesn’t matter. What matters is yet again lives have been lost in another road accident. Something needs to be done pronto.

  2. Sorry for soldiers and wish injured quick recovery. Now finance bank issue was the gurd from private security firm or just an individual? banks should engage state police who are armed and trained to gurd such installations.

  3. Is former Kaoma mp Liato biemba on a mission to recover his money but any means necessary? Or was this an inside job by mahtani? Or is this the work of the HIV infested soldiers at Kaoma’s Luena barracks?

  4. If levels of crimes are increasing and why would one release prisoners into society? midst high levels of unemployment. Makes me wonder?

  5. It is unfortunate that we now start losing members of our commando force through adminstratively avoidable circumstances. these guys are the first and last of our defence forces and are very extra ordinary. To let any of them die in ordinary trafffic circumstances is a very big insult to their motto and national security. someone s not doing his/her job

  6. The rise in crime rate is directly related to the release of prisoners by HE Mc no doubt about that, yet him is enjoying total peace and protection……………..

    • You have forgotten that there are no filling stations in rural areas. Oxygen tanks to help them carry out the work in the dam. Sad that they took too long to respond.. downed last week .. this week going to retrive the bodies.. Don’t you think that crocodile can feast on the dead bodies??

  7. What type of safes are these that you can blow up that Finance Bank has invested in? What’s the response time for police….. the guard must have phone for assistance!!

  8. MAHTANI NEVER CONTRIBUTED TO THE OUSTING OF RB AND MMD. ITS THERE RECKLESSNESS AND NEGLIGENCE THAT MADE US LOOSE INTEREST AND HOPE IN THEIR LEADERSHIP. SATA CAMPAIGNED WELL AND I NEVER SAW MAHTANI CAMPAIGNING FOR PF. LEAVE THE OLD MAN ALONE, EVEN ZAMBEZI PORTLAND CEMENT IS HIS AND HE MUST GRAB IT BACK ASAP, HE IS A GOOD EMPLOYER THO PERCIEVED AS A MAFIA

  9. The Financial bank is the only bank in Kaoma, there should be 2-3 guards with guard dogs at night. When one of them is caught the others can escape and alert the members of the public of sound the alarm. Dogs would also play a role chasing theives and barking around.

  10. TOO SAD FOR THE INNOCENT GUARD AND MY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF THE COMMANDOS AND THE ARM FAMILY IN ZAMBIA, THE POLICE SHOULD WORK HARD TO CAPTURE THESE CRIMINALS.

  11. Prime suspects in the Kaoma robbery:

    BRE Separatists
    Linyunga ndambo
    BFM
    Karavinas
    Angolan Refugees (Former rebels)
    Inside Job (Finance Bank employees)
    Liato’s family

Security must be stepped up and police/army must deal with all the above suspects.

    RIP to all the commandos.

  12. Releasing prisoners into society always brings wave of such criminals. When late Mwanawasa released 888 prisoners in 2006, there was a rise in crime in the country and we are seeing it again. The Commissioner of Prisons should stop misleading the president. Talking about Prisons, they also want to have Commissioners of Prisons as provincial Commanders. Please Mr Commissioner don’t mislead the President and the Cabinet. Your Establishment is smaller than Police who are at 18000 while you are at 2000. Ranks go with the number you command so you cannot compare yourself to Police. You have a maximum of 200 officers per province while Police have about 2000 per province which is your entire establishment. Stop dreaming about being equal to the Inspector General of Police.

  13. I would like to agree with Ichibwato over the Zambia Prisons Service Establishment and quest for ranks. I have been in the service for ten years today and I have seen how hungry our senior officers are for ranks. We are small than Police so why can we have Commissioners of Prisons in Provinces? they are greedy for ranks and money beacuse they know Commissioner of Prisons or Police has many entiltlements. They have no reasons to give for wanting those ranks, just greedy officers,. They will just promote their relatives. We know them. Mr Chibiliti, study the case and give them Senior Assistant Commissioners in Provinces asw Commaders! That is what they desreve.

  14. Warder Chovu you are very good brother. Our Prison bosses are greedy. They want ranks for themsleves alone. They are failing to buy us uniforms and prisoners have no blankets. Corrupt leadrs. Fake reverand Tobias Mwanza you should stop misleading Mr Chato. We are Junior but we are watching you. You are always in Mr Chato’s office telling stories and lise instead of working at Training School. You only go when there is money. We know you are the guy making da decisions not Mr chatoo because he is weak to you and he obeys whatever you cheat him. we are watching you. We even know your supply companies which supply at Training School. Time will catch up with your corrupt acts. ACC and DEC are already annonymously told of your deals.
