Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) Spokesperson, Dora Siliya has called on President Michael Sata to lead with the same enthusiasm during the run up to last year’s general elections.

Ms. Siliya said that millions of Zambians expect action oriented policies. Ms. Siliya noted with concern that President Sata seemed overwhelmed by the country’s challenges such, as the fight against corruption and creation of employment.

She added that since ascendancy into office, President Sata has never outlined his plan to the Zambian people on how he intends to govern the country.

Meanwhile, the Women in Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) has implored parliamentarians in the country to critically debate on matters of being accountable on public resources.

WLSA Regional Coordinator Matrine Chuulu said time has come for Members of Parliament to consider matters of accountability seriously.

Ms. Chuulu said parliamentarians from both the ruling and opposition political parties should not always be at conflict when debating on issues of national interest.

She told ZANIS in Lusaka today that parliamentarians should propose for debate in the house real issues that negatively affect ordinary Zambians.

The WLSA Regional Coordinator pointed out that it is essential for all parliamentarians to make the government of the day accountable to all Zambians.

Ms. Chuulu said all well meaning citizens would like to see MPs engage into issue based debates and not on mere political debates.

And Ms. Chuulu has expressed happiness over the disclosure by the Auditor General that her office was contemplating on setting up an Auditors’ Commission that will also audit and monitor the operations of her office.

She has since applauded the Auditor General, Anna Chifungula for that initiative adding that this indicates that her office adheres to governance principles of transparency.

  1. Mwanawasa MHSRIP never outlined his plan and people continued calling him cabbage. But when he died that’s when everyone including saw what the man was capable of doing. So what the f…k iwe mafiga are you talking about? You want him to outline everything? Ni confuse the enemy wait and see. Nomba ninshi?

    • Not true.During Mwanawasa’s time projects and programmes were implemented in line with National Development Plans.RB left a sixth (6th) National Development Plan.

But pf want to “develop” the country based on the pf manifesto!!!Districts are created without consultative planing…etc

  2. I thought this useless criminal woman was in jail. Did she bribe someone to give her a “pass” or is she on bail? Either way she should not be making statements like this

    • Imwe ba allergic to corruption, it’s practical and sense. Do not act like you never been to school. English yalikushupa ayi?

  3. Walasa WLSA!!

Government should work for the people, not the people begging from government. Every constituency has an MP, yet as I move around Lusaka, I see street lights, signs missing. I see no libraries in the communities – I don’t even know where my community hall is, or how often MPs come to ask me what my issues are.

It is time, as citizens that we hold government accountable!

  4. For the first time l agree with Dora, where is our president who campaigned with vigor? This country should not be left to ministers alone, they need the leadership of the Republican President. The death of the investor should be an indicator of show how things are on the ground

    • Things have been bad on the ground since the MMD started a privatization programme that had no Zambian people’s interest at heart. The PF has just begun to redress some of these issues. The problem we have is that things were so bad that we want everything to be fixed so quickly and of course the frustration is building. Change is not coming as fast as we would like. But Let us be patient. The fundamentals the PF are putting in place will bear fruit. e.g lowering of interest rates, revision of PAYE, Royalty tax on mines, Infrastructure development and anti-corruption fight etc. We are on a good start ladies and gentlemen. Let us however continue providing critical analysis and advising the PF on critical areas where they need to concentrate and improve.

  5. Lord of mercy, of all the people $ Siliya challenging us??? Where is the moral fiber in this woman? Who did she consult when she sold Zamtel to Lap green? Why doesn’t MMD use Felix Mutati to speak or may be even Masumba or Taima can be super to speak MMD!!!!!!

May be its because I heard Hakainde ET(economic Terrorist) is taking over the MMD because at inheritIng political parties and sabotage them.

  6. Sad state of affairs indeed, how can this vile corrupt politician be putting herself in a position of giving advice on good governance and accountability to the ruling party. If that Nevers chap had any sense he would have distanced himself from this wicked woman or is it too late.

  7. Nizoona madam Siliya. This guy (CNP) has run out of steam. and we still have 4 years plus to go. I wonder if he will last that long. The guy is already tired within 90 days and we still have along way to go. “Mai Dora niwele nikateko maziwa”. I rest my case!

  8. awe mwandini even if shes making sense i just want her to shut the f__kup!u had ur time dora-u were once my hero-i will never ever forgive u and ur fellow thieves for politicising mwanawasas funeral, for plundering, and for lying to usrepeatedly!even if dora was sent with a letter signed by Jesus -i would take the letter rip it and spit in her face-thats how i feel about this woman!!!

  9. mwandi Dora, bauze. Naise tidabwa ati ba attention seeker bayamba kubisama, kwafwanji? benzo ganiza ati kulamulila kuli monga kudya tute manje bainyela…….

  10. bed wetting, adultery, farting, late coming, … are some of the words dora’s former husband used to describe her. what can she advise to any right thinking zambian?

  11. Mulipo madam. Welcome back, the president has moderated himself. You the sam people who would be saying that he is behaving like an opposition leader. You have just be itching KA to say something.

  12. Campaigning and run up to elections was the time for slogan chanting, phenomenal politicking and once elected into office, the President has to leave the political enthusiasm created in the campaigns and focus on delivering on the promises made.
These are two different phases requiring different approaches.
I now understand why Dora is astonishingly corrupt and has never been inspiring to anyone in the country.

  13. Dora is confusing zeal to capture political office with the zeal and knowledge of how to lead and govern which Sata lacks. He just wanted the office for prestige and not what he can deliver.Dora, never ever confuse political gamesmanship with statesmanship.

  14. SATA cannot listen to lunatics like Dora Siliya , if u want him to act he will definately start by locking U up so keep your ass quiet.

  15. Dora has not been convicted by any court , so you monkeys stop prejudging the lady. Cimibaba because she has spoken the truth
. There was a lot of zeal and downright demagoguery during the campaigns. Outlandish promises were made
. But when the hyena got into office not only didn’t it realise that it was a misfit in that office but it had absolutely no plan for the castles in the air it was promising all and sundry
. Sata should come out of hiding and address the nation on the myriad of problems the country is facing
. An occasional vile statement from bwinjimfumu is not enough. Neither is a bile rant at the opposition or the Litunga enough!

  16. When levy died we realised he did a lot . Kanshi noyu uliko afwe ko fye then we will PF achievements

  17. What is it with a lot of our Zambian women liking to wear these funny weaves and wigs, they are so unattractive and off putting. I rarely date black girls who wear these things on their heads I like my girls natural or with short hair as they are so full of confidence, they even allow their man to touch their hair.

  18. Abena zambia instead of blogging about the isszue @ hand which is the performance of president Sata in line with people’s expectations, you start attacking Dora who like any zambian is free to call for checks & balances.zambia belongs to all of us.It does not belong to PF and its goons. Yes I said it.Be responsible.

  19. Yes siliya. Tell the president to be acting on what he promised. so far we have not seen any plan for the country’s development except creation of districts and Muchinga and rumors of Scott that he will be demoted which is a shame to PF.

  20. I WANT TO BONK DORA. SHE HAS THE VOICE AND THE MONEY. TALKING SENSE. I NEED A PILLOW TALK WITH HER. WELL DONE DORA.

  21. Well said mama, the man is now just busy creating districts and sneaking out of the country. Everything is falling apart. The chibwato has no captain and is fast sinking.

  22. Dora, despite your shortcomings in your private and public life today you have hit the nail on the head. Your soft bums aside, but PF govt has not recorded anything so far to write home about. It has been fake promises, contradictions, unsubstantiated statements from ministers (K3trn), appointments and disappointments, cadrerisation of running the country and I am sure personal material enrichment. We want to see development. Where is the bottom road, universities, hospitals, schools and above all money in people`s pockets?

  23. #25 Uncle Pipos, Get lost with your backwardness. Go get yourself a village girl, I’m sure you also hate women who bath.

  24. Dora is speaking sense, she always spoke  sense, and will always speak sense unlike any number of the fools currently masquerading as the Zambian cabinet. Dora knows exactly what she is doing. I like the clever way that she alludes to the Ukwa’s health without mentioning any illness whatsoever.

  25. Dora, you are 100%. The Kaponya who are insulting you are just embarrassed to admit that Ukwa in CNP. kAUNDA AND cHILUBA TOLD US THE MAN WAS NOT PRESIDENTIAL. Levy used the word;” tukasebana mu zambia if Ukwa was President”, and We saw it with George Bush visit.

  26. I THINK THAT I AGREE WITH BA DORA FOR THE FIRST TIME, BECAUSE I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE PRESIDENT I VOTED FOR OR NOT. PLEASE MR PRESIDENT HELP THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE NOT TO REGRET PUTTING YOU IN OFFICE, 5 YEARS IS NOT  A VERY LONG PERIOD  OF TIME.

  27. WELL SAID MY BEAUTIFUL DORA. TRULY ZAMBIAN AND I LOVE YOUR COURAGE. KEEP GOING. DONT LOOK BACK AND ALL SHALL BE WELL. YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB. AT LEAST SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL THINKING. COME THE NEXT ELECTION YOU GUYS ARE DEFINATELY BOUNCING BACK. AM ONLY SAYING WHAT AM SEEING BECAUSE WE HAVE A GROUP THAT IS RUNNING NATIONAL AFFAIRS BUT THEY DONT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY ARE JUST BUSY MISLEADING OUR PRESIDENT. GOOD HEAVENS WHEN WILL THIS END.

  28. During Mwanawasa’s time projects and programmes were implemented in line with National Development Plans.RB left a sixth (6th) National Development Plan.

But pf want to “develop” the country based on the pf manifesto!!!Districts are created and or re-aligned without consultative planing…etc

  29. She should wait until the thick clouds of financial impropriety are lifted off her head before venturing her opinions. She may have a point and in this case she hasn’t but she has no moral right to offer advice. It’s like a prostitute preaching about chastity. It doesn’t carry weight and it’s hypocritical.

  30. Dora buy some powder your face shines like you jumped into a drum of cooking oil or engine oil! Vulgar colour for an obesy woman to wear! In addition, HEMCS has a plan which was roled out to the national during his addressing of parliamnet, now it is implementation. Delineation of districts is over and you will see how things will be done in a very aggressive manner! Dora reserve your energy for your court cases, we are not interested in the likes of you!

  31. Siliya if you have nothing to say just shut your mouth, other wise serve your energy for court cases, other wise you do not a spire any one. You are a spoiled woman who has nothing to offer.

  32. Excellent issues altogether, you simply gained brand new|a new} reader. What may you suggest in regards to your submit that you simply made some days ago? Any certain?
