Kabwe Warriors and Lime Hotspurs over the weekend surged forward in their respective race for promotion.

In Division 1 South, Warriors opened a seven point lead after a 1-0 away win at Kalomo Jetters.

A late goal from Richard Kasonde 12 minutes from fulltime handed Warriors the win to see them move to 53 points from 24 games.

City of Lusaka have ghosted back into contention and are second on 46 points, tied on the same number of points with Kafue Celtic and Nkwazi.

Meanwhile, in Division 1 North, Lime kept the chasing pack at bay and enjoy a nine-point lead after beating hosts Mufulira Blackpool 1-0.

Lime have 54 points Kalulushi Modern Stars are second on 45 while Ndola United third on 40 points.

  1. Dabwitso Nkoma, Dube Phiri, Harry Milanzi and Adubelo Phiri should play in next match Zambia vs Uganda, they will score 1 goal each.
    Unfortunately, Chris Katongo lead strike force will not score more than 1 penalty.

  2. @ Ba Teddy,that was my team during the times of Peter Makembo, Eric Kulu, Remmy. Ceasar Kaitano, John Zulu (Wauma), Lewis Shambulo, Chibaso Nkandu (Congole), Peter Mhango, Evans Sakala. Ohh, too many of them to mention. Getting into Woodalnds stadium through the gate was by then taboo; just a 5 ngwee will see you in up the toilet wall and insdie.
