Police arrest and charge man with indecent curiosity

Share

Police in Gwembe have arrested and detained a 27-year-old man for indecent curiosity.

Wycliff Ntundu of House Number 70 in Gwembe Township did on Tuesday this week, wilfully and unlawfully peep through their house’s bathroom door with intent to see Gwembe Constituency Member of Parliament’s wife, Elector Chilipa Ntundu’s nudity as she took a bath.

Police have charged the suspect with indecent curiosity.

With intent to see her nudity, Wycliff, a nephew of the Gwembe MP, Brian Ntundu did wilfully and unlawfully peep at his uncle’s wife before he was discovered.

The suspect grew up at the Ntundu’s homestead and is alleged to be in the habit of peeping on people taking a bath and that he would even climb a tree to see someone taking a bath in an outside roofless showering place.

Mrs Ntundu, 44, of the same house number, narrated to Police in Gwembe that she caught her nephew peeping through the bathroom door as she bathed before she reported the matter to police.

Sources at the police station told ZANIS that the MP’s wife is likely to withdraw the case if the suspect shows remorse.

  1. You mean there is such an article in our current constitution as indecent curiosity? And is it in the new draft constitution as well?

I guess we need to reign in all those school boys who break this law.

    • Ubututu, not every law is supposed to be in the Constitution wechipuba iye! The Constitution is only ment to moderate other laws. In short, the Constitution is only a steeping stone for other laws!!!

Have you ever seen the American Constitution? It is probably one of the shortest Constitution you can ever come across, but have you looked at the criminal or civil laws in the USA? Brother, they cover volumes upon volumes! But all these laws should not violet the spirit of the USA Constitution, or the US Supreme court would strike the down. It is the same story in nearly every country on earth, including Zambia!

    • Hahahaha. Tell me about it brother. I have never come across such a charge in my 40+ years. Indecent curiosity? This is a good one.

  2. Yangu Brian.Awe umwana uyu takakule bwino mwe.Ulwinso bwaiche bwaiche.Katwishi imisangu iyi ngapala abena wishi nangula abena nina.

  3. The woman doesn’t like the boy hence the scam , Read the Bible Mr Portifer and Joseph same.May the boys knows something.

  4. We used to call them peeping Thomases at the Uni. They were so many after drinking chibuku they would go peeping at unsuspecting female students taking showers. It never occurred to me there would be a case called indecent curiosity.

  5. Mo’ taim, yes it is very interesting vocabulary, but the young man should have realised that this is unacceptable as there is a whole world out there on which to feed his ravenous curiosity. Even if the aunt withdraws the case, he may have to leave this household beacuse he may never be trusted by the uncle to be around his wife. Why should he want to see his aunt naked? Has he been entertaining evil thoughts about her? I really wonder! Mr Ntundu, ask your nephew to leave before he rapes your wife.

  6. Is the MP so “Primitive” that he is still living in a house whose bathroom door has holes?? Typical fellow Bantustan.

  7. Is it the same curiosity which killed the cat?So we cannot admire women in slits and minis and thighs and breasts and umutoto panse, gee, might as well expire.

  8. Just imagining how that door is made: key hole ( no key)? Door is smaller than the frame such that there are spaces on all sides? In this age, I do not think there can be such a door, so transparent!

  9. He must be arrested, I hate anyone seeing me naked, even Nick unless the lights are off I do not take off my clothes
No one, no one sees anything

    Thanks

    • That is a sign that you are embarrassed about your own body.Come on convince Nick…you two should be walking in your birthdays suits in your house.Anyway i bet you have a shape of a Toyota Corolla.

    • Once again, Mushota, you are the most intriguing blogger on here. I hope you know at least one person finds your comments humorous.

  10. This is a habit which the boy has developed for sometime now. So, It’s a matter of offering him effective counselling.Look at his age, and the implications of that age in adolescents.

  11. Ninshi MP ankhala mu nyumba Yama uzu or zili bwanji? The MP is to blame for staying in a shack full of peep holes. Leave the chap alone you just have to blame yourselves for living in the past. Oh maybe the chap should be caned for gazing at an old woman’s boobs.

  12. A number of things do not add up to me. Could it that the nephew was not wanted at home and the aunt had to come up with something to get rid of him.

  13. Sad for the man. But considering the way zambian women are dressing now including these so called elite women, it’s difficult to totally put the blame on him especially that non of us bloggers are privy to the actual truth, serve for what we have read. There used to be a law against indecent exposure, but I guess we are now in the so called modern world until something like this happens. I hope this was not a concoction instigated by the aunt to get rid of him.

  14. Hahaha, pengine huyu jamaa hapati lile tunda lililokatazwa.Anyway funga yeye sababi yaonekana hata watoto hawako salama.Ama apelekwe huko California ambapo wanacheza filamu za uchi na atapata kile anacho tafuta kwa wingi na bila shida.

  15. Peeping Toms not only peep thru keyholes but sniff on ladies underwear too. The either steal their mums, sisters, neighbours, or an other female underwear they find and sniff on it like the street kids sniff glue.. lol, they probably get ‘get high’ and then find a hole to peep thru while they ‘move their ‘thumbs up & down’ hahaha!!

  16. What kind of the house does this parliamentarian occupy becoz even in my simple house its just impossible that one can peep through the bathroom maybe by using CCTV.there more to this.

  17. You guys are showing how ignorant you are. This kind of behaviour can lead to very serious crimes. He needs to be reported and punished. Otherwise, he will graduate to molesting kids, which he probably does already!! This is deviant behaviour. In the UK and US, he would end up on the register of sex offenders. Yes, this crime exists on the statute books. It is called indecent behaviour!!!!

  18. This man is 27 years old!! He is not a kid. At his age, he is old enough to be married and have kids of his own. Lock him up. He is a danger to females, especially small girls!! After reading about the murder of the NIPA student in July, I am surprised you guys think this is funny. It shows poor judgement. Police forces in developed countries would not allow the aunt to retract the complaint. This is a criminal matter. Unfortunately, our police force lacks professionalism. I am sure the MP will get his nephew off the hook.

  19. I think this young man alitombapo or ukunyengapo ba muka nalume. There is just something fishy about the whole scenerio. I am suer there has been kama relationship. Mind you these ate Tongas and to them it is very common for a nephew to far key an untie. HH did it when he was 21 years old. He far keyed an untie who used to live in Kaonga township of Mazabuka.

  20. This sounds like a scam, this is a frustrated auntie, this boy must have persistently repelled her advances in order to maintain and respect his uncle, but you know what women can do when desires are not met. There is noway she can leave the bathroom door open even she knows there are people around, this was a trap, this young man must be praised for restraint.Other boys would have succumbed to her pressure. The MP will not have a house with holes to the bathroom door.

  21. an idol mind is the devils workshop.i think the woman was doing smting mo than just bathing which cot the mans attention.voyurism is a habit wich grows into a disease.most pipo will only reform afta getting caught.i hope u r delivered yung man.its a bad spirit.it usually develops in places where pipo engage in unusual sexual bhaviour like loud sex, loud masturbation which are likely to attract other pipos attention.eg hostels and roommate set up where sexual activity is likely to b noticed by roomy
