Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has dismissed assertions in some quarters that he is trying to eliminate his potential opponents in the PF so that he finds it easy to rise to the presidency.
Addressing the Southern province PF consultative conference in Choma yesterday afternoon, Mr Kabimba said it is wrong for some people to claim that he is trying to get rid of his opponents when he is merely discharging his functions as Chief Executive of the party.
The PF Secretary General told delegates that he has no intentions of becoming president for the PF.
Mr Kabimba said his main priority for now is to serve the Patriotic Front and the people of Zambia.
“There is talk that I want to become president and that is why I am trying to eliminate my opponents. This is not true because I have not gone round telling people that I want to become president,” he said.
He stressed that there is no PF official that he is trying to eliminate but that those complaining against him are victims of their own wrong doings.
Mr Kabimba called for loyalty in the party saying there are no way members could be allowed to serve other political parties while belonging to the PF.
He said the issue of loyalty in the PF is cardinal as no party member will be exempt to any wrong doings.
“All of us are bound by one major obligation of being loyal to the PF,” he said.
And speaking earlier, Southern province Acting Chairman Charles Hamududu appealed for transport to enable the party carry our membership recruitment in the province.
Mr Hamududu said transport is cardinal in party mobilization.

Kabimba just announced that he wants to be president, and that is treason.
The conference was not about Kabimba, or did the delegates demand his justification on his pompousness and wishes for top-job. The meeting was about PF transportation problems to reach rural areas, and such.

kabimba wants absolute loyalty for his pf party officials but when other parties like mmd demand for the same it becomes a laughable matter to him. He rebukes his fellow seniors in public when its a house issue, so one wonders what kind of a leader is he, because they have the central committee and thats where he should have summoned GbM and Lubinda. Also MMD has no manners, its now Chituwo being loud mouth and you wonder where the others are, especially the party chairman Kabinga Pande, he is the rightful person to seating down all these guys.

After informing the nation about it and received the exculpatory letter you were supposed to keep quiet and inform the nation after finishing with the internal processes. Well put. I am a PF sympathiser but this little man has gone too far. How can he advocate total loyalty to the PF when they are busy poaching MP’s from the opposition every time the opposition demands the same. Kabimba is insane and I am beginning to wonder why he is being treated with kids gloves by the president. He’s abusing his powers as a minister of justice to do party functions. This Kabimba’s can’t win an election anywher in Zambia and he wants to eliminate any sane individual in party, leave Mr. Lubinda alone.
