Share

African champions Zambia is reportedly leading the way in 2013 Africa Cup ticket sells.

The 2013 AFCON local organising committee says Chipolopolo fans have so far bought 50,000 tickets.

In second place are Ethiopia with 30,000 tickets ahead of the Walia Antelopes first Africa Cup outing since 1982.

Incidentally, Ethiopia and Zambia will face-off in both sides opening Group C match on January 21 in Nelspruit.

And in third place on tickets sells is Algeria with 15,000.

Algeria are in Group D that contains Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia and Togo from which pool winners and runners-up from Group C will meet in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, a combined total of 15,000 tickets have been bought by other countries for the tournament that will run from January 19 to February 10.

  1. of course. We put our money where our mouths are. Don’t forget all the Malawians and Zimbabweans who are pulling their support behind us

  2. ”Ethiopia must be beaten like 7-0 by Zed to send a message that we are in south africa to retain the cup, no jokes”
LOOK AT THIS BALACK MAN,YOU MUST HAVE BEEN SNIFFING YOUR MOM’S KNICKERS!

  3. @5, You proud ethiopian, son of a harlot. Is there anything wrong with what Carlos has said? You will be taught a lesson in South Africa by the mighty chipolopolo. You were born as a result of your stu.pid father’s condom leaking when he was hammering your prostitu.te mother. Son of a bi.tch.

    • You might be, more the description you are giving to the person you are attacking!!!!
Just as you are proud of chipolopolo, he has every right to support his team, but that does not oblige him to be offensive, of course – & you don’t have to sink to his level to show your disgust with his conduct! Rather exhibit the traits of a respectable upbringing – i believe, cherished in Zed!

    • @Chipolopolo, Point taken and thanks for your wisdom. But that does not take away the fact that @proud ethiopian, is an a$$hole.

  4. Many are the times we have expected Zambia to harmer teams like Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Comoros and many more and we have ended up in disappointment and to make matters worse even losing. For me I would rather encourage Zambia to play with all their hearts and strength and not underate any team whether Ethiopia or Burkina Faso…….8-0 is possible if we play Ethiopia as though they are champions, but the opposite can also happen if we go into nthe stadium big headed…Go Zambia go and fight your way
