NAREP President Elias Chipimo has charged that the ruling PF is now scared of its own shadows after failing to deliver on its campaign promises.

Mr. Chipimo observed that the PF administration is now becoming extra sensitive to criticism because of its failure to perform according to people’s expectations.

“When you have a government that has not performed, when you have Mealie meal prices at historical high, clearly fear will set in. The Bible explains it this way, the guilty flee even when no one is pursuing them,” Mr. Chipimo explained.

He said, “This administration is now running scared of its own shadows but the question is, who created those shadows?”

Mr. Chipimo was speaking in Lusaka Monday morning during a NAREP organised media breakfast meeting at Protea Cairo Road.

“We want to advise the PF government that preventing opposition rallies is not the solution, this administration should focus on delivering on its promises made to the Zambian people.”

The NAREP leader said preventing opposition rallies is an infringement on the fundamental rights of citizens to assemble peacefully.

“This is an affront to our people democratic and constitutional rights and this does not only affect politicians,” he said.

Mr. Chipimo said NAREP is looking forward to a positive conclusion of the court challenge instituted by the Law Association of Zambia on the Public Order Act.

“We hope that the courts will rule on the side of justice and that the opposition is free to hold rallies without any hindrances.”

And Mr. Chipimo says NAREP has declared 2013 as the year of action which will see the party intensify its campaign activities.

“We want our message of hope to reach all parts of this country. It is a challenge but we are committed to ensuring that we have a minimum of 750,000 active members by the end of this year. These are active members working for the party,” he said.

  1. This guy is desperate, dull, uninspiring and too theoretical in his statements
How on earth anyone sees him as inspiring or a future leader is beyond me,
And trust me that is me being nice to him.

Reminds me of those friends at High school, who speaks and looks the part
And then fails lamentably when real exams are asked of them

He looks lost, but then again its probably because of my MSc MBA BSc, ACCA CIMA and
Currently a PhD student that I can see things beyond one’s naked eyes

    Thanks

    • Your a real genius Mr. Mushota…. Am sure to you what Elias Chipimo is talking about has just been cooked up in his head and is out rightly not true nor accurate.

Your purported qualifications are proving to be too voluminous for their emptiness…..

Sometimes not saying a thing shows wisdom. Learn to listen before you speak….

    • Mushota is truly inspiring. She is the envy of many and as a result many want to down play her achievements. Whenever she speaks, it is one word of wisdom after another. 2012 will be remebered for the various intelligent sharings she kept making. Mushota do not be distracted. I proclaim greatness in your life and more wisdom.

    • Arrange your qualifications in the order you obtained them Mushota. Are you also an FCCA, FCMA or you are just a paper tiger with no experience to get Fellow or even Associate status?

    • Anyone who answers a matter before he understand it realy foolish, mushota why don’t you lean to be quiet

    • @Mushota all those degrees qualifications is not a guarantee of clarity of thought. Give an analysis of the man to demonstrate whether all these have sharpened your mind or there are there just to get a job!

  2. Am PF but I totally agree with Mr Chipimo, PF is creating jobs in newspapers like the 200,000 jobs in forestry, 900 jobs for Agriculture graduates. They are now scared of youths its now a year plus and still our degrees are rotting in our bookcases. They’re just subjecting us to aptitude test en interviews for nothing. Last month they called 1,200 graduates to do aptitude test for 11 ZRA positions nephews en gal friends for ZRA bosses got the jobs, what happened if 200 graduates got 100% in those aptitude tests, “shuffle draw?” Last month PSC was interviewing for MACO positions all just to raise our hopes. fellow youths lets work up it will just be promises till 2016. We removed MMD to address these issues but only Post Newspaper workers were rewarded.

    • Now we have coins in our pockets, as beggers on the streets this is a draw back, motorists are now giving us coins no more ten pin notes. Am guarding my voters card jealously. In Kitwe its worse we used to dig copper behind the pit en sell it to the Mines en earn a living but now they’r arresting Gerabos. In Congo every youth is copper dealer en are all empowered. So as Gerabos we’ve resorted to selling mealie meal to congo. Even FTJ was loved like Sata, he only dribled Mung’omba in his second term, continue promising youths jobs en porching MP’s.

    • Here is timely advice. “Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
      His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
In that very day his plans perish. ” From the New King James Bible, Psalm 146:3,4.

With a high school certificate or degree behind you don’t need PF to create a job for you. Go ahead and get cracking to create work for yourself. Trusting politicians to empower you is scarcely being realistic. Politicians have a long record of not fulfilling their campaign promises. It’s amazing how easily they dupe the unwary who sincerely believe that these guys can create utopia for them! They have never been able to do it in 50 years, how do you earnestly expect they would it in one year? In Zambia? You can dream on.

    • We’ve tried to set up businesses as graduates, but where can we get start up capital. Check on every bank’s web page en see the conditions for getting a loan
-(Employers confirmation letter) so which employer when u’r unemployed.

    • you are a craft holder or did not meet the expectation of the panel that was interviewing you.how come your friends were selected only you who is just complaining for nothing become enterprising and employ your local craft men

    • @Kokoliko I have been able to convince the interviewing panel of the private company who employ on merit with a qualified panel not those certificate holders in government who are always threatened by us intelligent fresh graduate. That’s why PF government’s failing u lack technical experts, you employ agricultural officers with certificates in computer science from Evelyn Hone, they are delivering Urea fertilizer to farmers before delivering seed and D-compound its an embarrassment to Agric. graduates.

  3. # 4 PF Supporter.
Its unfortunate to come this late to your realisation as is the case with majority of the poor Zambians still struggling with hope in PF govt. Indicators of failure by PF govt to deliver development and services to Zambians was known within 6 months of coming to power. Then, Zambians were warned and others said give PF more time and today as Chipimo said price of commodies is historical high and persistent of fuel shortage in the nation should surely make every concerned Zambian wonder why? shortages today when all was fine before PF govt. Better be aware today that PF is a ‘Donchi Kubeba’ (deceptive) government than wait till we would be like Zimbabwe or Congo wallowing in the mire.

  4. Am so happy about all the suffering going on right now in Zambia . The increased mealie meal prices, fuel, transport costs and no jobs for youths. I hope more misery should before on you because it’s pay back time you are reaping on what you sow Ba sat on your call. Tomb are whistle.

  5. This guy has deliberately stayed away from PF strategicaly so that by 2016 just before the titanic PF sinks, he will provide another home for the Sichingas, katele kalumbas, and the whole muchinga northern and Luapula gang to try and form government to continue the plunder leaving the sinking PFtitanic with the Kabimbas.

    • I like your analysis. Kabimbas and Masebos of this world should know that, they can win Bembas what so ever. These are small boys and girls

  6. How do you expect a party to deliver with a cabinet that there is currently? Sakeni, Kambwili, G B Mwamba and the likes.

This is a one man show government. It can’t deliver. This is a party which promised us a people driven constitution, where is it and how many constitutions have been delivered around the world while we watch? How dull are our Zambian constitution lawyers? What is so difficult about giving Zambians what they want?

Let them continue to celebrate the public order act as a good law, but one day they will be among us and looking like zombies.

  7. I want to join NAREP, Mr Preisdent how can I join….? Kopala will feel the NAREP swag once pipo lyk us join hands with Chipimo. Let me just search for Chipimo on FB. PF yabakoteeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I didnt foresee that i will ever agree with Mushota. She is spot on.Chipimo ideas are good when one looks at them in the theoretical sense ,but practically it is another story. Many factors play a role in the prices for commodities.Cause and effect situation.Surely you can`t expect the president to perform miracles when other factors are not favourable. No wonder one has to be a good liar to make it as a politician.

  9. NAREP I am in!!
I’m former ardent supporter of Michael Sata and P.F; but with the victimization of One Given Lubinda and the looming reality of having him hounded out of the Party, the careless creation of unnecessary By-Elections….. and countless other issues too much for the Sata administration to handle NAREP is the way to go.
    VIVA NAREP VIVA!!

  10. Masala Market – the president is supposed to create a cabinet that functions. Honestly, you think Sakeni is a functioning leader? GBM? There is just too much garbage in that cabinet. The only thinking people are being victimised. I remember hearing Kabimba saying MMD did not leave the Eurobond project – I mean, how can you say that? Even my dog in Namwala knows this for a fact, and you make such a statement! They surely are speaking to ‘didn’ts’ – otherwise they would not say such things because in a normal, civilised country, politicians are called to account for what they say. Not in Zed! I am very sad that politicians – especially PF – take a ride on us. Evcerything is jus a blatant lie, and some people still defend PF. FTJ was subtler. President must answer to everything on the…

  11. Zedians wats your plan? To vote out PF then wat?? Vote UPND, NAREP, MMD ??? These chaps will promise things that they wont deliver….2016…..2021…..2026 until you get old. The best thing is to make these pipo work, but how???

  12. Mwanawasa, and Magande, + RB & Situmbeko Musokotwane, you guys worked hard and intelligently to put the country on a good economic footing. You built up Forex reserves, increased food production and the man at BOZ Dr Fundanga successfully brought inflation down from double digits to single digits. 2001 to 2011 was a decade of economic revival. It is painful to see a decade’s hard work been gutted by the clueless , tribalistic and incompetent Sata and his charges!

  13. Chipimo is losing it, PF has been in power for less than 2 years and is claiming that they have failed on their promises. Let them finish their term then you can condemn them all you want. Political rallies should be allowed only on the election year, we cannot have an atmosphere of campaigning throughout the 5 year period, it is madness! People have to work, how do you develop a country if you keep politicking 24/7? The politicians should use other methods to carry their information like community radios.

  14. PF supporter,
If you are attending interviews then things are getting better, it is just a matter of time before you get a job. If openings are not forthcoming, then it is bleak for job prospects. Good luck on your job hunting!

  15. Chipimo should gain some parliamentary seats before making statements, the man is thus far completely irrelevant

  16. Please me a favour, i would like to get in touch with honorable chipimo, how con i get hold of him ? if by any chance you happen to his moble number or his email address, kindly email me . mr editor please

  17. Chipimo is worse than MITT in the US….the hunger for power will surely be this guys down fall.
    1. its ok for Sata to build his retirement home b4 prior presidents.
    2. Am only going to Brazil with Sata to champion energy.
    3. Let’s give PF time they are just a new party.
    4. opposition should work to help PF succeed.
    5. Now its PF have failed to deliver………I mean this guy will say anything to be heard. Mushota is right on this one….Please chipimo be pragmatic. Didn’t u learn anything at OXFORD.

  18. Mushota only brags and calls you monkeys on this site. She behaves like an orphan brought up by whites. Even after making what some of you think is a wise contribution, she’s still goes to brag about her studies. It’s all she’s got + a white boyfriend. Mushota is not wise, she’s only intelligent.

  19. There is something sinister at play between PF and NAREP. only time will tell when this leader jumps ship to anchor pf.

  20. The Narep President was reminding the PF administration on the promises the made to us Zambians i.e the 90 days theory. He was right to say they have failed to fulfill what they promised us. 750,000, i’m in.

  21. Thank you a lot for giving everyone a very marvellous possiblity to read articles and blog posts from this web site. It is often very nice plus jam-packed with fun for me personally and my office colleagues to visit your blog not less than thrice weekly to study the new stuff you will have. And definitely, I am certainly fulfilled concerning the mind-boggling tactics served by you. Some two facts in this posting are definitely the most effective we have ever had.

  22. This is when this Chipimo is waking up that PF is no good after failing to get anything from the RIO trip. Is this not the same Chipimo who said wanted to develop Zambia after coming from RIO. Where was he when HH and Mumba had seem that PF was a failed government. Who does he want to deceive. I Chikala, will not tolerate such hungry politicians who go begging from PF.
