The National Restoration Party (NAREP) has said that it will continue fighting for the improved welfare of the citizens by offering credible checks and balances to the ruling party.
NAREP president Elias Chipimo said that what his party will not entertain is politics of insults but will instead focus on engaging into issue based politics.
Mr. Chipimo noted that it was important for politics that will bring change to the Zambian people to be embraced.
Mr. Chipimo has since appealed to the media in the country to continue giving a platform to the people that may have diverse views on the country’s governance system.
The opposition leader has observed that the media has critical to play towards advancing the country’s developmental agenda.

When you have no meaningful contribution to make to a debate it is advisable that you sit by the sidelines and let those that debate maturely do so. Don’t give people in the diaspora a bad name for nothing. It is your sort of contributions that Zambians are tired of.

There are 2 by-elections coming up, start fielding candidates and have a voice in parliament. Talking outside is not helping because a lone voice can get easily lost in the noise of the crowd. Chipimo should know that, you cannot be a president in a multi-party democracy without members of parliament of his own party. All I hear is Chipimo, where is the other top leadership? UPND under Mazoka had many leadership faces people can identify it with, but under HH they only know HH they don’t even know his MP’s because the are silent. NAREP is using the same strategy, promoting Chipimo and forgetting other members, big mistake!
President Nawakwi and President Chipimo went to RIO COP18 on government money and not PF cash and it was in national interest, lets not get petty. To both these two fearless presidents of parties, I salute you please continue proividing checks and balancies for the government that seems to be slipping into democratic coma for the sake of Zambia. Since most of us Zambians suffer from a common cancer called cowadice, we (me included) only have guts for internet and distance.
