Sundowns Invite Sate Sate Kampamba For Trials

Time Posted: January 23, 2013 3:48 pm

South African side Mamelodi Sundowns have expressed interest in signing Nkana striker Reynold “Sate Sate” Kampamba.

An official at Nkana has told LT Sports in Kitwe that Sundowns have requested to assess Kampamba.

The Zambia Under-20 forward was on Wednesday set to leave for South Africa.

“The young man is leaving today. Sundowns want to have a look at him,” the source said.

Late last year, Kampamba attended unsuccessful trials at Swiss side Young Boys and Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv.

He was the 2012 FAZ Super Division top scorer with 14 goals.

Sate Sate has become a trials journey man. After this it means he would have attended trials at four different clubs in less than six months. He failed at Super Sport, Young Boys, in Isreal and now he is at Sundowns. I doubt Trot Moloto will sign this him but I do wish him all the best. Its not the best club to join but he needs to eat and a salary of R40, 000 + will improve his life.

I know learned people who’ve failed more than 4 interviews so this is normal. As you rightly put it we can only wish him success in this particular assessment.

We still need him in the National Team. He’s a good guy. Keep searching for a better club where you belong.
