  1. Where is my comments… you delete my comment and you fail to delete that insulting article, do you know how insulting it is block our comments?
Don’t you know we can delete you too?

  2. I am sorry to piss on your bonfire Mr. Makalu. Encouraged by your article, I tried accessing the PACRA website this morning. Instead of being sent to the PACRA site, I got redirected to the ZAMNET website. In other words, the PACRA website is unreachable. I am afraid I am not feeling particularly proud of our civil servants!

    • No Gentlemen! Even if there is need to rebase Chipolopolo is Soaring Eagles the name to think about. We will be laughing stock of rest of africa.

  3. Former president kaunda had a habit of inviting the national team to state house before any match. he would dish food for them and then watched the nation team home games by going to the stadium. He liked kicking the ball straight on goal keepers of the visiting teams. This earned the national team a name kk11 coined by Mr. Liwewe Dennis. Even then when i was a small boy at roan primary school in luanshya the chipolopolo song was sung in honour of any winning team . I heard the song when we went to mufulira, same song could be heard almost in all towns in zambia(copperbelt where i spent my childhood days though). The song later gained popularity at national team games. Journalists started picking it (cant remember when but it was very much in early / mid 90s)

  4. Our national tema must be called “black lechwes”,,,before anyone sasy why, please go and do youre reseaarch and you will see that black lechwe is only found and its rare speciees in kafue national park,,hence we should renaem black lechwes,,

  5. Whats the article all about Pacra or Ratsa?

Or is it about Nigeria or Ethopia?

I dont seem to understand the direction of the intent or rationale of the article.

  6. Makalu thanks for your article. Quite inspiring especially when you talk about your positive experiences at the public offices. I am a major cynic when it comes to the level service in the public office, especially with the level of service (or lack of it) at our embassies and Ministry of Home affairs. I guess it mshould be obvious I am in the daispora. Your experience makes me feel there is still hope.

Regarding the renaming of our national team you make a case for both for and against the name change. I’m inclined to say the reasons you provide for why we are called the copper bullets remain more compelling than the ‘soaring eagles’. Soaring eagles would not be inspirational if not for any other reason that we will be confused with Nigeria, Mali etc. Everyone now knows…

  7. Haha, just face it our was a pyrrhic victory in 2012.We were just “clay champions” as we won on penalties,we qualified on penalties and had quite a few draws.

  8. Right here is the perfect web site for everyone who would like to find out about this topic. You realize so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I really will need to…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic which has been written about for years. Excellent stuff, just excellent!
