Time Posted: February 13, 2013 10:22 am
President Michael Sata

President Michael Sata

President Michael Sata has with immediate effect appointed Itezhi tezhi UPND Member of Parliament Hon. Greyford Monde as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
This is contained in a press State statement issued by George Chellah special assistant for press and public relations.

“…I have appointed you Deputy Minister and have assigned you to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock,” read President Sata’s letter to Hon. Monde in part.

President Sata says he is confident that Hon. Monde will perform to his expectations and that of the Zambian people.

Meanwhile, President Sata has swapped Commerce minister Hon. Robert Sichinga with his Agriculture counterpart Hon. Emmanuel Chenda.
The changes are with immediate effect.

Kubeba Nomba what do you understand or wnat do you know by inclusive government?I think what Sata is doing is a good job.You cannot develop a country by leaving out members of the opposition. They are Zambians as well and have to be part and parcel of the development process. Those who condemn this gesture are surely not interested in the development of Zambia.RB and MMD used to say that if you dont support us you will not see development in your area. This is MMD policy was very retrogressive!!

I think the traits shown by the president are regrettable
In weakening the opposition by undermining the opposition equates to undemocratic practices

I am sure there are people more deserving of Deputy ministers within PF. There is no need to undermine your own party especially after the allegations labelled against them in the Johannesburg ‘paid for party’

The president must change his advisers

    Thanks

Thees are last kicks of a dying horse! For goodness sake even if Dictator Sata is so corrupt, how does he appoint 3 Deputy Ministers in the same Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock when Zambians are dying from Mealie Meal shortages?

If Dictator Sata & PF democracy killer squad thugs still thinks that the complaints from the Civil & opposition are things they should ignore they are in for a rude shock

Things for PF will only get worse for them. No Zambians like these PF thugs who have made life difficult for Zambians from Mealie Meal shortages to everything

If Dictator Sata is not careful, he may be killed the way late Libyan Dictator Gaddaffi & Romanian Communist Dictator Nicolae Ceau?escu were killed by angry soldiers & people in their countries

      @Mushota#18
The construction of your question is problematic.
Being a PhD candidate means alot to some of us and we would traditionally expect our counterpart to have been trained in formulating questionnaires for research purposes. For example, you use questionnaires in obtaining useful statistical information from individuals about a research topic
Which one of the two following posts is higher than the other, a post of a permanent secretary or a post of a deputy minister? This question is correct and precise unlike your construction above.
You cannot use ‘more’ and ‘higher’ in one sentence. ‘More’ is used as an adjective to modify a noun by quantifying or describing it. Note that at the end of ‘high’ ‘er’ is added, because of this addition you cannot write ‘more’…

It is very wise to appreciate that we are all in it together, yesturday, today and tomorrow, ruling and opposition. No one, or no party should be allowed to live and preach some parallel political life experiences in our country. What is really the benefit of ever talking down what those in govt are doing. In govt we have our brothers and sisters who we went to school with, we worked with, we mourn with, we travel same roads, we go to same hospitals, we live in same townships, we go to church together. So what really is so drastic that differentiates those in opposition from those ruling if not only power to manage national resources. No one will be more a genius than the rest of us all. Let PF rule, they have the mandate. HH and Nevers or is it Nawakwi, or Chipimo Jnr, they are all same.

Hello “maps” – The problem with Chirwa is that he has contaminated his brain with Kaponya mentality. How does a man of his calibre start saying we have experience in building underground commuter trains when there is non existing in Zambia. Do you consider such PhD holders to have their senses upright? The underground locomotives on the Copperbelt would be considered toys operating in a poorly ventilated environment without amenities for human survival. For this reason miners are allowed to work only 2 hrs and the rest of the time is spent transporting them to work stations.

Very soon you will see Bob Sichanga behaving in a similar fashion because his brains are slowly getting deranged with Kaponya mentality.

Monde will be replaced by someone responsible. leadership is not about your own stomach and ego. it is for providing leadership that will develop the nation for the majority poor to also benefit. Monde has a degree ( i guess) and so may never be poor. Zambia and Africa as a whole needs strong opposition for our governments to function. Otherwise let alone, they will even be snoring in parliament and offices and do whatever they want like wasting billions of kwacha to again give us a bad constitution that will not foster development. we know our problems as africans and so why should we continue on the same path as other races progress. we have to create our own kind of democracy that responds to our problems and not the one we just adopted from the west. Those people have high morals.

In your dreams really! Sata is like Idi Amin who started as a savior & hero but ended up as the waste Dictator the world has ever had!

Sata has all the traits & characteristics of Idi Amin Dada of Uganda:
    Uneducated
    Lost
    Backward
    Fixed
    Autocratic
    Paranoid
    Abusive
    Manic

    The list is endless

As Kaunda became unpopular in the 1980s there was also a corresponding increase in the number of political appointees. Between 1986 and 1996 . Both the Cabinet and Central Committee expanded from 50 to 120! Since the current Chimbwi is also a retard, expect his bureaucracy to expand. He is a fossil who is not fit to run a government in the 21st century!

This is sad development for our country. Leaders have put self interests at the expense of the national interest. Everyone knows that he will be expelled, so why appoint him? why should he accept the appointments? By-elections are costly for the nation and it’s high time someone taught these MP that they are in Paliarment to make laws and not accept cabinet positions (I know the current constitution allows for this- explains the reasons to change it). This is the pervation which has rocked our country. MPs think they are now executive/Governors when they should be making laws in Parliament for the country and repealling those which have become redundant over time!
