Mazembe threaten to sanction Sunzu, Kalaba & Hichani

Share

TP Mazembe has threatened to fine Rainford Kalaba, Stopilla Sunzu and Hichani Himonde for failing to report for pre-season training.

Sunzu and Himonde have stayed away insisting their three year deals have expired.

Kalaba’s situation is uncertain as he too has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates.

“We have asked the Zambia Football Federation to return without delay Kalaba who is tied to the club until 2017, Hichani whose contract runs out in 2015 and Sunzu,” Mazembe said on its official website.

“Failure to this the players will be fined and their payrolls deducted.”

  1. Sunzu who ever is/was your agent at reading has me you do this, you risk loosing everything here. Am sure Mazembe know what they are talking about the guys want to forfeit their contracts and become free agent so that if they sign for reading around 4million pounds they pocket the money with the agent

    • Impersonation/imposters will damage the player’s image. Mbola was in such squabble few years ago.. Mazembe won the case.. Sunzu look into your agreement papers before anything can be done.

  2. So what the real story with our Sunzu? There is news that his contract expired in December 2012 hence he is a free agent as claimed by his “invisible” agent yet TP Mazembe insist that it expires in 2015. As a result Reading FC got cold feet and bailed out of the deal… latest reports coming in is that he is currently undergoing trials with Sunderland FC. So who is powerful hand who is behind all this? I would have requested that FAZ to look into this issue but that would be liken to asking monkeys to look into the rampant thefts in the maize fields.
Then there is Rainford Kalaba’s link to Orlando Pirates someone powerful is behind all this pulling the strings.

    • Its clear they want to be free agents so that the club does not get any of the money used to buy the player. This means the player & the agent pockets the money between them

    • That’s the point exactly; greedy people at play no points guessing who? So who is his agent? …remember how the FAZ crooks were quick to release him for pointless trials at Reading when he should have been in the camp.

    • This is exactly how these promising young African football player’s careers go to waste as they end up fighting battles off the pitch before you know it he will spend 5 years sitting at home or wondering aimlessly on the streets of Europe (as TP Mazembe is not going to sit quietly) all due to incompetently corrupt administrators and bloody greedy agents who were looking for a piece of the cake.

    • Too much docility in Zambia we are still hero worshipping idols instead of judging them on performance on the ground or the tasks at hand (not photo opps).
Football Fans in need to wake up!!

  3. Never Deal with Congolese.
A three year contract turns out to be a five yr.
The same scenario happened on Mbola. He was made to sign a contract with hidden contract clauses.

    • this is the reason why people hire lawyers before signing a contract; the lawyer will scrutinize the document for you. there is no shortage of lawyers in Zambia, but people want to save money and do it themselves. All professionals are there for a purpose; if you are sick, see a doctor and do not go and buy medicine from chemists; if you need to build a house, engage an architect, etc. trying to save money ends up being costly in the end

  4. Latest Fifa Ranking ( February 2013) after Mbombela fimofimo …

    12. Cote dIvoire
    19. Ghana
    25. Mali
    30. Nigeria
    34. Algeria
    42. Tunisia
    47. Zambia
    51. C A Republic
    55. Burkina Faso
    60. SA
    62. Libya
    63. Cape Verde
    67. Togo
    70. Egypt
    73. Guinea
    74. Morocco

    • # 6.1 .. No no that can’t be. You know these FIFA ranking depend on merit.. No country can jump the line on short note. . 2012 CAF Nigeria has no point to harbour from the tornament

  5. Going to congo to play football, for what? to please kamtubi a business man for everything! you will never progress open your eyes, Zambian players learn something from what is happening to your friends. Please don’t go to congo there is nothing there

  6. Kalaba would have been a world class player by now if it wasnt for his nonsense first time he moved to Portugal..Sunzu and Himonde should think twice before they stuff up their Careers which is looking more than likely to happen in the near future..learn from players like Mbesuma and Fwayo who made rash decisions..i also reckon Kalu is not doing a good enough Job as a role model/ advisor for these young players, his jus watching them ROT.!

    • Kalu actually appears to be behind all these happenings as can be discerned from the loud silence from FAZ and the way the so called Great Kalu supported Sunzu’s going to Reading for trials one week before Afcon.

  7. these boys should have made their moves immediately after winning the 2012 AFCON, that is when they were most marketable. they are now trying to impose themselves on potential buyers. wrong timing and lack of credible advisers

  8. You people have short memories. Himonde was on media record before the AFCON when he said his contract at TP Mazembe had expired in December and he would only return if they still wanted to give him a fresh contract. Then TP is now claiming that his contract expires in 2015. TP are just not being straight, they must formally call the players and negotiate with them over new terms as I think the players cant just dream that their contracts have expired. Think!!!!

  9. Where is FAZ in all these?? They made our boys perform badly in South Africa in various ways, among them, failing to put up credible friendly games for the team after AFCON 2012 until very late, endorsing and accepting the Mbombela stadiumd for African defending champions, sending Sunzu for trials at time team was suppossed to be blending for games etc.

It is clear someone at FAZ is among greedy agents and advisors waiting to pocket some kick backs, in the process our boys will be rusty by time of world cup qualifiers and probably banned by FIFA is TP Mazembe raises complaints and declares dispute their status!!!

Hon. Kambwili, you are an action man, command FAZ to clear status of these players and expose whoever is destroying theur career!!!

  10. I think Sunzu is to blame…. Does he not have a copy of the contract? He should have advised his agent that his contract is still valid with Mazembe…rather than being cheated by the agent…. Is it education??? He cant even read a simple contract and see what it says? Or is it that Katumbi is crooked and insering hidden clauses in the contract where one cannot see between the lines?

FAZ help us to help you get you pay….

    I am disappointed….

    • Sunzu is just a footballer who knows just one think football…you can’t expect him to read a contract not even your David Beckham or Steven Gerrard can read a contract!!
      Wake up

    • And you think those English players are smart you watch on TV like Beckham hahaha…you just need proper agents who are operating within FIFA guidelines BUT what you have at Football House is a greedy top brass including your Great King Kalu who wants a cut in everything.

  11. dont blame the players or king Kalu. tp Mazembe have a serious problem. they never take player progression seriously. look at tressor mputu. why is he not at Arsenal now? did you not see his standard of play in South Africa?? Mazembe are just too selfish for nothing.

    • How is that player progression….do you even know what that means?? if those foreign clubs are not coming up with proper offers why should you blame TP.

  12. Sunzu doesnt know how to ready i was very disapointed and the other problem is Kalusha bwalya likes chekeleko on these boys i think its time we changed FAZ and the coach
