THE United Party for National Development (UPND) will soon decide on the fate of Sinazongwe Member of Parliament (MP)Richwell Siamunene who was last week sworn in as Commerce Trade and Industry deputy minister.

UPND secretary general Winston Chibwe said in an interview yesterday that the disciplinary committee would soon be sitting to determine the fate of Mr Siamunene whom he allegedly claimed that was facing disciplinary cases.

Mr Chibwe said Mr Siamunene had been facing disciplinary charges since December 2012 and the committee would soon decide his fate.

Mr Siamunene is the second UPND MP whom the Party slapped disciplinary charges after he was appointment to serve in Government as deputy minister.

Itezhi tezhi UPND MP Greyford Monde was the first one that the Party slapped with disciplinary charge and later expelled from the Party after he accepted the position in Government as deputy minister.

Mr Chibwe said Mr Siamumunene would not be suspended or expelled because of the appointment but because of the disciplinary charges that he was facing in the Party.

“The decision by the President to appoint MPs even from the opposition political Party is constitutional and no one can be expelled of that, Mr Siamumene is facing disciplinary charges, which the committee would soon decide on,” he said.

  1. kUYA BEBELE SIAMUNENE I CANT LISTEN TO AN ANGLICAN PRIEST ON THE CODE OF CONDUCT FOR A PENTECOSTAL CHURCH…..ZWAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITH THE VEHICLE,OFFICE AND DRIVER FROM MICHEAL…

    • Lets be Objective with our comments. Lets let the party do what is right for this man who has made a decision. His decision will soon be known if its the right one or not

  2. We all know his fate. And that is expulsion. While us in PF we suspend our rude and disobedient MP`s for six months you UPND goes for the maximum penalties.Emotions and bitterness never solved anything.

    • But what does it really mean to suspend a sitting MP, if he is also to be suspended from parley for 6 months, if not tantamount to expulsion, or worse? Because, if one is expelled, then, he can be free to start afresh, rather then being in suspense, and give your accusers ammunition to even nail you more next time there is any flimsy reason!

    • just expel the ***** . Is It normal most your brothers are in ceils then your uncle is busy calling your brothers ? Secondly your son is taken from you by his uncle while you are languishing in police ceils , then your son is being influenced by the uncle to denounce you. Is this normal were do pay your allengence? This blood blood suckers
are in form it. It is better UPND remains with princepled few than having bunch of hypocrities. UPND die hard.

  3. I think the UPND needs to come clear on this one: Is it the disciplinary charges he faces that he will be expelled for, or the acceptance of appointment against party policy that they have so much emphasised? Or should we conclude that all MPs accepting such appointments are renegades already, and that is why they accept, therefore the disciplinary process if combined? I know, comrade Chibwe, you have charged this guy before, but timing of the expulsion may make it look linked to the appointment to free fuel, car, housing, driver, women, etc – be careful!

    • UPND does not have to worry about what outsiders will say. Siamunene will face the wrath of the party as per party procedures. The guy already has some charges and UPND will not be held to ransom for fear of being said they have expelled him for accepting a government position.

  4. Ugly People with No Dignity (UPND) please let siamunene work for the people freely by joining the govt of the people for the people and by the people.

    • WAIT AND SEE, WE WILL PUNISH YOUR KA SIAMUNENE, JUST BECAUSE HE WAS SQUEEZED WITH LUSAKA FARM ESTATE BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR HIM TO SEEM AS IF HE WANTS TO WORK WITH THE GOVERNMENT. WE WILL TEST THE WATERS HERE IN LAKE KARIBA. LET ME START POLISHING MY VOTERS’ CARD. WENA AZALILA!

  5. Why is it that any UPND who gets appointed into government suddenly faces displinery cases that have been outstanding for some time? Why doesnt the UPND displine their MPs before they are ppointed into government?UPND is surely dying!!UPND does not seem to realise that their policy of expelling their MPs is shrinking their numbers and influence.HH is driving UPND into political oblivion!!Sooner or later only HH will remain!!Mazoka must be turning in his grave!!

  6. the PF is busy transporting cadres to areas were bye elections in the POLICE, Then these will be made to vote. All in the name of maintaining law and order.

  7. FOR ME SIAMUNENE LOOKS MORE PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL IN UPND THAN HH. HE LOOKS MORE DIGNIFIED THAN THE CALCULATOR UNDER5 BOY.

  8. UPND whatever the Honorable MP has done please take an Olive Leaf like what PF has done to Lubinda.Expelling the young man is not the solution.Learn to sort out issues amicably.Indeed why do you have to wait for an indiscipline Mp to be appointed a minister that is when you crack the whip. This is wrong way of sorting out outstanding issues. You are costing the Nation a lot of money due to by-election please stop this!! Let the vibrant young man serve the nation. This is one Zambia and Nation tribal politics will not take us anywhere.Tonga,Kaonde,Losi,Bemba BANTU MWEEEEE
We also appeal to ECZ and the general public to rise above partisan politics and condemn such acts and in future never ever hold by-Election let us use money to make roads.

  9. Let him go to PF and try to recontest that seat. Tongas are the most wise voters and no one can decieve them. meet them at the polls Siamunene.

    • There is no problem in Tongas voting for their own regardless. Bembas are doing the same. In fact that is how it should be — each ethnic group should vote for its own. Where possible ethnic groups should form alliances. Otherwise some ethnic groups stand to lose given the current high level of tribalism in Zambia.

  10. Blood socked party, PF you should wait for the wrath of the people. Its really a party of schemers, crooks, murderers and thieves.

  11. What is there to decide? I thought we were told that UPND is very clear on any of their MP who accepts a ministerial position from PF — Expulsion is the penalty. Just expel him so that he can join PF. He is not indispensable.

  12. George Chellah Zambians in the diaspora contribute over $30 million to the Zambian economy money which is building houses, educating university students ,buying medicines and fertiliser etc.So just shut up tell your boss to face the nation .Are you tired of emptying urine from the dialysis machine and changing nappies?

  13. Chase them, we adopt them, do a ka by-election, and what was once your seat becomes ours. How can we conmplain. They say do not disturb your enemy when he is making a mistake.

  14. may be he wants to work with government to help his people as they are reported to be surviving on grass. In any case rules are rules.
