Chief Government spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni has refuted assertions that President Michael Sata has fallen ill. Mr. Sakeni who is also Information and Broadcasting Minister said that the fact that the president has delegated the Vice President Guy Scott to officiate at national important events such as Youth and the Women Days does not mean that the president is sick.

Mr. Sakeni disclosed this to Qfm in an interview that President Sata is in good health and has been meeting his Cabinet Minister at State House almost on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, Vice President Guy Scott has arrived in New Delhi, India to represent Zambia at the The 8th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Project Partnership. The Vice President arrived at 19:40 hours local time at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Accompanying the Vice President is Dr Charlotte Scott, the second lady.

Others in the delegation include Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Emmanuel Chenda, Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication Christopher Yaluma and some Senior Government officials.

According to the programme released by the Zambian mission in India, Dr Scott is expected to pay a courtesy call on India’s Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

Further, the Vice President during the official opening of the 9th CII –EXIM BANK Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership will deliver an address in plenary.

The Vice President will also address and chair special sessions, to be held on, Zambia and India –Africa Infrastructure Partnership, respectively.

Dr Scott will also tour Angelique International Limited to discuss Rural Electrification and Agriculture projects in Zambia.

And in Udaipur, the Vice President will tour the World’s biggest Zinc Mine, which is owned by Vendatta, with an objective to look into modern mechanisation, technology, productivity and automation.

The tour will be with a view to exploring the possibility of boosting mining development in Zambia.

A visit to the International Technology Park in Pune is another engagement for the Vice President.

His visit to Pune is intended to explore the prospects of setting up an IT Park facility in the economic zone in Lusaka South, which will give drive to economic development in the service sector.

The Vice President will then travel by road from Pune to Mumbai where he is expected to experience the infrastructure and road network.

While in Mumbai, he will address the Mumbai Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The 8th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Project Partnership was held in India last year under the theme, ‘Creating Possibilities: Delivering Value.’

According to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)’s website, business results from its last held eight conclaves recorded significant achievements with 1510 projects worth USD 104 billion to have been deliberated.

CII with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Government of India are organising the said event.

The gathering offers an opportunity for participating countries to showcase their work to large numbers of decision makers from Africa.

More than 30 African countries of business leaders and officials will be in attendance.

Vice President Dr Guy Scott will represent Zambia at this year’s conclave.

    • Funny how something as simple as having different political ideologies can turn people into heartless beings to such an extent of wishing death on someone who is not just their leader but another persons parent.God help us and heal the hate in people !!!!!

    • Sata while right hand man to chiluba who killed a lot of people is equally guilty of deaths of those guys- Ronald Penza, Paul Tembo, Edward Shamwana, Baldwin Nkumbula etc . Why have mercy for him. A sword for a sword. And every dog has its day.

    • Sata`s time is very near, the man sold his soul to the devil when he promised the illuminati that in 90days zambia wil cease to be a christian nation and Gayism will be allowed,, well that didnot happen, its time to pay with his life
And did you know that Sata is more avaluable dead than alive to the illuminati? Wait until he dies there will be alots of statures erected in his memory…..you donot sell your soul to the devil and expect to have it back,, Ask mazoka he knows better

    • Well said. Truth indeed. God Almighty controls life.

Most bloggers are filing to express what the problem really is. The problem is that the health and other such vital information of someone who holds such a high office in our land should be disclosed to the public. It is our right! If he is confident tha he is a good and performing leader, people will sympathise with him. A good example is Chavez. If his performance is poor because of his illness, then he owes it to the country to disclose what is wrong with him. When the governments starts hidiing or misinforming people about such things then the rumer mills start working and worse than the truth stories come into circulation.
He, himself or other people would say that is his personal information, but the truth is that when you…

    • That “our” president. Even Jesus had just a percentage of followers. They even decided to crucify him, for the reasons you don’t know, I can tell if you want. Why you imagine Sata is some sort of…
Only 80 Zambians + your president decided to mob a good man RB.

    • President is a job and this uncle of yours is being paid for doing nothing. The man is just a thief because he personally knows that he can’t excute the job of President but he goes ahead to even increase his salary.
He is allowing his Ministers to steal and all the Catholics can do is sing Alleluah! That’s the reason why even the Priests can freely bonk worshippers including other people’s wives. Rotten Church!

    • @Dido… do you know that people who are just about to die say and do strange things… like being scared of people without hair´??

    • If only he hax been saying the same about his then Presidents Mwanawasa and Banda. What goes arround comes arround. We are waiting for Sata to express regret for some of the uncharitable things he said about others. That is when he will clear the curse which is upon him.

    • Let him resign, if a Pope can resign, why not Sata? Why pray for him, just because there is shortage of wise-men in Zambia?

    • Nostradamus
Well, i think the new Pope was born in 1936 and our President in 1937 meaning the new Pope is older never mind the former Pope. If we were to follow your logic then in all fairness we have wait for the new Pope to resign before demanding H.E to resign.

    • @Msana Wanzili. The new Pope despite been a year older is in GOOD HEALTH. Your President on the other hand has BAD HEALTH and he is AILING. Even people who are far much younger and fit to be the President’s grandchildren do retire on medical grounds from their jobs. It is not the age of the President which is the issue but his ill health. So Stop clutching at straws! The gene is out of the bottle. The Govt has started talking about it, albeit defensively!

    • @sydney… pray as you want, Sata sold his soul to the devil to become president, also pray that sata goes back to the devil to claim his soul first.

  1. Thought Bob was minister for agriculture? Nonetheless, we pray that the president is in good health as you say.

  2. Whether Sata is sick or not. We wish him quick recovery from the Lord God above.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

    • Sata placed a curse upon himself when he started mocking his political colleagues who were ill. He needs more than staying away from bald heads to cleanse himself of the minyama (curse) he placed on himself. I suggest he bathes naked at midnight for a month in the Kafue Roundabout fountain to cleanse himself and his soul.

  3. What a heading to the story? This article is more about Guy Scott’s visit to India where he’ll be doing what our engineers should be doing, than it is about Sata’s illness. You see, Sata can be likened to a generally naughty and talkative child whose illness can’t go unnoticed. Suddenly you’ll just see the child unusually withdrawn and spending much of their day in bed. What am saying is that a healthy Sata would not need Sakeni to be talking about his health to the nation ….

  4. Ha ha ha ati ” has been meeting his Cabinet Ministers at State House almost on a daily basis.”

Stop lying Imwe ba Nsekeni, that sounds like ” Levy Patrick Mwanawasa is jogging in the streets of London” , we have heard this one before and seen this movie before.

Sorry I have to agree with number #1, it is never true until Government denies it. Sata loves publicity to just stay away from it for the sake of working

  5. IS THE PRESIDENT NOT HUMAN? WHY HIDE IF HE IS SICK?? WE CAN ONLY WISH HIM WELL. THE OLD MAN HAS AGED AND WE SHOULD EXPECT THAT. ACTRUALLY IF I WERE PRESIDENT SATA I WOULD DO ONE TERM ONLY. PLOT 1 IS STRESSFULL MUDALA, DO LIKE BA POPE OR MANDELA, WE WILL BE PROUD OF YOU.

    • Stop debating with yourself. Some people are saying that the President is ill. However the official line from government is that he is okay. Then the question is: why is he skipping most of the public functions. We’ve always known him as a very active person. But he seems to have gone cold and aloof! Hence the increased speculation over his health. People know he is human that is why they are wondering at his increased inactivity.

    • Ba Yamba Yamba, the Sata the nation knows didn’t miss an opportunity to be seen in public. He was at public rallies (which he is denying the opposition), he held press confrences willy-nilly. This is the reason people are wondering what has become to the provabial talkative child of the class (although the child in question is a grade something failure).

    • @Mfumu, there you go again. Bwatu, bwatu, bwatu, ducking the real questions! What we are talking about here are national important events such as Youth and Women’s Day, not public rallies which you guys seem to be hang-up on.

Now can you answer my earlier question?

  6. Dear Mr President, please go on a tour of all the Provinces to meet and talk to your people. You are in your second year of your Presidency but it seems all you do is hibernate in State House and appear once in a while to announce the further expansion of your bureaucracy and to attack people. Is there something wrong? Even our sickly Mwanawasa was always up and about. Get out more! Citizens always want to see and hear from their leaders. This is just weired. It is like the country has no President. Quite odd!

  7. Rumours are rumours. Malicious, jealous, bitter people have been saying this from the day he was elected. It is normal to be ill isn’t it?? If he is unwell get well soon and God bless.

    • Inform the nation about illness or funeral of the late president Sata. Sickness in the media, sacking those who disclose this illness is un helpful to the nation. Let pF govt come clean because finality of things to come will prove PF LIES (Donchi Kubeba) catch up with them.

  8. If it was up to the DEATH WORSHIPERS (and you know who you are) in this country, Sata should have been dead well before or right after the elections in 2011. I don’t understand the obsessions some people have as far as wanting to see Sata dead. Do these people seriously think that even if Sata was to die (God forbid) tomorrow, they will automatically become the next President of our republic?

Sata may be sick, yes! But who said he his immortal? Who among us does not fall sick once in a while? The moment we are all born, sickness and death are inescapable. This may be Sata’s time, but ours is surely coming.

None of us (except maybe his wife and his doctors) have any idea how serious or trivial Sata’s health challenges are. And he is entitled to at least that level of privacy.

    • How many president’s has Zambia had? Is it not odd that only Sata has been wished dead by its citizens? Not even in the darkest days of Kaunda’s reign did people wish Kaunda dead. Surely there must be a reason why this is so. Its unZambian, true, the question is why now?

    • @Yambayamba, you didnt elect Sata alone – millions of Zambians did, and they did it so they could SEE him work for them and also INTERACT with them about the strategic direction to which he is taking the country. Is this too much to ask of someone you elected into office? What you should understand is that PF would’nt have been in government if Sata had’nt won the last election, and he won it by PERSONALLY appealing to them to give him a chance, so why is he hiding from these same people that look so much up to him? If fact it is your explanations that are making it more suspicious. Keep people properly informed about the condition of their leader and we’ll pray for him to recover.

    • @Wanu Ngwee:
Cut the nonsense, will you? I bet even yourself did not vote for Sata either. But at least some of us who did not vote for him still think that the sickness or health problems of anybody (president or not) should never be turned into some sort of “Macabre” show!

By the way, who are these “voters” which you speak of demanding that Sata shoud parade himself in public every day to prove that he is not on his death bed; the kind of Sata’s “Voters” you find at ZWD?!

In fact people like you are only interested in the kind of prayers (insults) you shower the President, day in and day out, at your favorite watering hole, ZWD. So don’t come up here and pretend to be the “Jesus incarnate,” understand!?

      Give me a freaking break!!!!

    • @Yambayamba, who was Sata sending to campign for him in the last presidential election? No one is asking Sata to parrade himself to anyone as proof of his well being. All we are saying is that you cannot lead people with whom you do not interact. Do you know that the president is supposed to address the nation from time to time to outline his programme of governance to his people and report progress on matters of public interest? And this can be done via a simple television address! What is your interest in Sata hibernating? My interest in him making public appearances is that I voted for him because of the way he interacted with me when he wanted my vote. Look, I maintain that it is the anger with which you people are responding to this matter which raises dust and serious suspiscion.

  9. In fact those that are spreading malicious rumors that he is sick are the ones who are sick. We know too well that more than half of the journalists on a particular web-based publication are on STD treatment which include but not limited to gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV/AIDS and tunswendes. So stop insulting our presido. You have wished him dead but God is on his side. Keep losing those parliamentary seats. We soon moving into Itezhi-Tezhi and Sinazongwe to turn them green. Tongas are not tribalists but those in the leadership of a named opposition are stinking tribalists. The recent results in Livingstone by-election, Namwala ward by-election and many more has proved that Tongas are not tribalists. They are now rejecting these leaders who have been manipulating them for many years.

    • Why is it that when bemba’s vote for Sata its not tribalism and yet when ngoni’s vote for RB its tribalism or when tonga’s vote for HH its tribalism? Can someone enlighten me. Shouldn’t I vote for Kavindele for fear of being labelled a luvale tribalist?

    • Mfumu do not worry next time people will vote on tribal lines. Not making the mistake of voting for these monkey-eating dogs from Ituri forest.

  10. This remind me of Levy’s ministers, the man was busy dying and the lumpens were busy claining he was recovering well. It’s becoming all too apparent that Sata is dying. If he sees this year through, it will be a miraculous act! I for one will bet on Zondwe kicking the bucket! And when it happens, his vampires will flee in an exodus from PF of biblical proportions.mark my word.

  11. All those wishing our president dead have never known the joys of having a father around, they are the sons and daughters of B****S!@#%. What ever hurt you have for our leader you yourselves will never achieve what he has (a political heavy weight who talks the talk and walks the walk, who know exactly what we the people wanted and we gave him our vote) Continue your hurt and by the time you realize it PF will have amassed 150 mps in paliament. You might be dead yourselves before him and that secret of life is only known by God!

  12. Zambians wake-up!Mpombo is to be used as witness in RB’s case ,surely no one can link the drama which is unfolding in RB’s immunity case removal! Remember that George was Defence Minister and the cartel wants to cook some allegation against RB.No wonder the outsiders view Zambians as gullibles ,how can Mmembe hold the whole Nation at ransom? Wake-up and smell the Nandos spice in Town!!

    • @Mezerf:

Can you please STOP this SICK OBSESSION you have for Mmembe?! Does it really make sense, even to yourself, to see Mmembe’s influence in everything going on in Zambia? Is that how shallow your analysis of every issue that comes up can be?

      Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!

    • @Yambayamba. In Zambia Fred is King and if you cannot see it you are one of those he has hyptonised.

    • @MERZAF WONAMA UKWA, people who are hypnotized by Mmembe are those who don’t seem to get enough of his ‘shtick’. It is like some ugly fella who can’t believe a ‘pretty girl’ is their girlfriend; they have to drag her along to every party in town!

Gosh, give it a rest. Mmembe is good at what he is does. Love him or hate him, he has been doing his thing for a long time and he will continue lambasting the “SHALLOWS” you have in opposition!!!

  13. Sata mocked Mwanawasa in sickness and its his turn to be sick while in State House. Sata can’t ve my sympathy unless he apologise to Zambians for mocking Mwanawasa illness. Sata must not get well and if he can pass on much better. Sata is a failed dictator and deserve not to stay. Silly Sata don’t get well.

  14. Ka Zambianwatchdog has been hacked. It cant open anymore. Days are catching up with this ka online publication kaba UPND. Good move, you cant play with the intelligence office.

  15. Guy Scott is a perfect choice in this regard..I didnt know the veeps wife is called second lady hehehe…anyway get well soon ba tata ba sata..Zambia needs u to bring the development and change that u promised us

  16. President MCS must have nine lives of a cat. He was supposed to die before the elections in 2011….It didn’t happen. He was dead sometime last year and somehow he rose from the dead. Now plan b for the bitter people’s online publication (The Imbwas) and their sponsors orchestra Hyena Hyena & United Party for National Dunderheads avec Mumbwe Mumbwe Daddy is falsehoods about an illness only they know about. Mubepelefye… Long Live MCS

    • Ba HSK, it is wise to speak from an informed point of view otherwise you end up belittling yourself! The bottom line is His Excellency IS NOT WELL and those of us with love in our hearts should pray for him. Only post something that you are certain about; if not sure, try to be cautious in your posting.
      One love!!

    • In denial…. Tell the nation is Sata sick or dead? The last time he appeared on camera was looking peaky, frigile, icky-boo and woofit and orthopodic dependent on zambuc. Let the nation know if Sata is on a big sleep. Don’t hide as per Bemba tradition to hide death of elderly people or chief ( like Chitimukulu’s death) to await for misamilo (young unknown people to die with chief as pillows).

    • CAN YOU JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION INSTEAD OF INSULTING HH.WAS IT NOT SATA WHO WAS MAKING FUN OF THE LATE LP MWANAWASA’S ILLNESS?YOU WANT THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA TODAY TO PRAY FOR HIM.IF HE IS SICK LET HIM COME OUT IN THE OPEN AND TELL THE NATION THEN WE WILL FAST AND PRAY FOR HIM .

  17. “Mr. Sakeni said that the fact that the president has delegated the Vice President Guy Scott to officiate at national events such as Youth and the Women Days does not mean that the president is sick.”

OK, then what does it mean and why was it advertised he would attend?

Honestly, it’s pretty much one of the President’s jobs to officiate at such national events. Certainly he was all over these days last year (….making full use of the opportunity to denigrate his opponents and share other light-hearted moments with the nation).

  18. If Sata died, there will be war in PF, like real war… who do you think can be the next PF leader? it will probably be the end of PF.

    • That will be the day Kabimba will die from shock because the Bembas will gang up to make sure that a Bemba takes over. We saw it in UPND and it will certainly happen in PF.

  19. Twatendwa ne lyashi Lya bupuba. You mean there no any other issues to discuss other than this? Naimwe mukafwa like any other HB. God Bless Zambia

  20. I’m not one of Sata’s supporters neiither am i PF. But one thing I know is that he’s the President regardless of his radical ethnic leanings and his Government’s belligerent stance. I can’t rejoice in his perceived illness as doing so would bring me in conflict with my religious conviction and my conscience. This is regardless of what he wished or didn’t wish other people. I wish you well Mr. President.

  21. Some people demanded that a medical board be constituted to ascertain whether I was fit to continue with my job as President. Wish they could lead by example now that the roles have been reversed! Till We Meet Again! Live in Peace !

  22. the truth is, he is old and allowed to be sick. just don’t do it again zambians, we need a young and energetic man to rule zambia fullstop.

  23. wanting to politicise everything leads to many troubles. For the good of the Government,PF and indeed the country,Mr Sakeni allow Mr Sata to be examined,he went against the medical requirement of more rest but he decided to travel to Mpongwe and Livingstone with his shocks and the Engine block needing grinding. If he is sick ask Zambians to pray for him,wen u r a liar,u become an enemy to yourself…..pipo learn from your current leadership

  24. Sata is not functioning so should stop receiving state funds as he is nothing more than a drain on our resources. His failure to function is the biggest sign that the man is not well coupled by frequent unexplained outings or disappearances.

He’s better dead given the bad colonial history he has and foolish political behaviour he has brought to our country. The law only applies if something is against his interest not with regard to what the law actually provides for. If u look at the removal of RB’s immunity, PF chose to disregard a court order meanwhile they regard orders when it suits them. They also stopped UPND from holding a rally despite having an order and MMD leaders have many a time been thrown into prison for talking to the electorate. I hate Sata because he is foolish.

    • Go to Zambia, become a politician, tell the country men what you will do for them even if it take you 10 of 20 years on that road and see if we will be able to vote for you ass hole.

  25. Levy died as well as king Fred; but our beloved Micheal is still alive and kicking. Mumba and Hagande Hankuni will also depart and our beloved Micheal will give them a national morning to the disapproval of the cockroaches.

  26. What has happened to humanity? Have we become that heartless that wishing other people’s fathers, mothers, uncles etc dead does not even move us anymore? What has Mr Sata done for people in christian nation to start praying for his demise? You just bringing bad luck on yourselves, your love for HH isn’t worth inviting death in your families.
Remember as you pray for your children, your parents and friends everyday please also pray for your enemies H.E included. God bless you all.

    • Is this the only thing that preoccupies your little mind. HH is a private citizen who holds no public office. Zambians are concerned about how the country is been run considering that the President is not well. The President is a the number one Public servant in the country hence the concern. It is has nothing to do with HH, Nevers, Kabimba, GBM etc becoming President if the President dies. The decision to make one President lies with the voters. No one not even your entire clan has a crystal ball to predict that or to make your wishes become true! So dont burst an artery for nothing. Obama and even Sata were told by their opponents that they will never become Presidents of their respective countries. And the rest is history!

    • But atleast the devil would be dead. We can’t wait for it to happen. We might have to ask Pope Francis to pray for the man to go and rest in peace.

  27. It would be appropriate if we called ourselves a satanic nation for all the love we express for each other. Wishing someone dead is so inhuman and heathen. Jesus Christ, founder of Christianity said We should love even our enemies. The hatred obtaining in our beautiful country for the great leader MCS is shocking, to the point of wishing him dead! We have definitely lost it! We have lost our innocence and fit squarely in the pattern of the likes of Rwanda, DRC, Somali where at the drop of a hat throats are slit as a matter of course.

    • wishing someone dead, tribalism, asessinations, lying, insults, laughing at the sick etc.all the above are the fruits of sata while in oposition till as a president.

  28. Weather you believe in God or not, I will say this, respect elders so that your days on earth maybe multiplied. In this case, Sata is the father of the nation weather good or bad. The bible says death and life is in the mouth of those who like it. Make my words of you readers with death wishes come true in your lives, you have just prophetised your death TODAY! For those with well wishes may your days be multiplied on Earth.
    In Jesus name, Amen!

  29. do you remember sata saying this?”i invite G.kunda to go for vct with me,i also extend this to rb,what is ftj sufering from?ukebe chalo efy ulelwala”let alone what he said about lpm and mazoka.chaona muzanko mailo chili pali iwo.in short you said sata prophesied for his death.

  30. This is Zambia. Whether with Sata or not, in statehouse, Zambia will always have a president. Somebody else. Not HH. Talakula mumano. Ukokwine nengombe shakwiba!!! !d….t. Long live my Sata. God is good, all the time. I have just stopped mourning my Mwanawasa. God forbid! HSRIP. I declare, Sata will clock his two terms, by God’s miraculous way of doing things, in Jesus’s name, Amen!

  31. Now this business of wishing each other dead is getting out of hand fellow Zambians, surely we even have to get the Government Spokesperson to come out and refute such rumours? Where is our Christianity, or just plain simple humanity if you are not a Christian?

  32. That is the trouble with electing old people to become presidents , they get sick every now and again because of weakness of the body. At the age of 70 the human body starts to age and weaken very fast. All the faculties of the body start to deteriorate , then any human being starts to slow down their daily activities. Presidents should be elected at the age of 45 up to 60 years only. Most peole retire at 60 years or 65 years. If you become apresident of a country at the age of 70 you become an ailing and weak president. Even the brain slows down and can’t function at full capacity.

  33. WHETHER SATA IS WELL OR SICK MR SAKENI SHUT UP YOUR WRONG DENTAL FORMULA MOUTH.
THE QUESTION WHY AVOIDING BIG FUNCTIONS LIKE WOMEN AND YOUTHS DAYS AS WE PAY HIM FOR SUCH WORKS NOT SLEEPING IN STATE HOUSE.
PLEASE START IDENTIFY ANOTHER PERSON TO SUCCEED SATA BEFORE YOU ARE TAKEN BY SURPRISE.YOUR MAN WILL NOT REACH 2016.
    THE SOONER THE BETTER.

  34. President Sata is every Zambian’s president. All Zambians not just PF. We should wish him, his family and cabinet well. People get sick from time to time. Nothing wrong with that. If he is unwell let us wish him quick recovery so he can attend to the duties of the country. We Zambians should not wish death upon each other for political differences. Multiparty means just that, we can not all be PF, MMD , UPND, UINP or NAREP, Heritage. Let us wish each other well and wish our President well.

  35. Criminal upnd and mmd u must b demons themselves. After drinking Chanda’s blood u wish to drink the President’s . Who does not fall sick or die? Nevers and HH are u not going to b sick or die some day? Nevers u re possesed .REPENT NEVERS?I PIT UUUU!

  36. HH IS SAYING THERE IS LAW BREAK DOWN IN THE COUNTRY. WHO’S DOING THAT U MONKEY OF A HUMAN BEING? ONE BEING I WOULD LIKE TO GUN DOWN IS U. EVEN IF SATA DIES WHO TOLD U DAT IT IS U 2 GO 2 STATE HOUSE? SATA IS JUST 1 BEING BUT WE ARE MANY AND’LL TCH U .

    • @ Osmore. Yes it is true that you are many, but like the Chinese say, “A long journey begins with one step.” Try to wrap your mind around that!

  37. “Chaona mzako chapita mawa chili pali iwe!” A few years ago, Mr. Micheal Sata informed the country that President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa was critically ill and had been flown abroad for treatment. He urged the government to tell the people the truth about the Preasident’s health.
Today he is in a similar situation. Let Kennedy Thackeni tell us the truth about Mr. Sata’s health.

  38. Leave da president alone! If he is sick, its just a minor setback and will fully recover! He has a 2nd term to win!!!long live king cobra!

    • Wishful thinking!, we don’t know if its a minor or major illness/setback, from what we have been told he is fine. But If he is very ill then he wouldn’t last to even contest the 2016 elections.

  39. UPND thinks like this regarding President Sata and trips abroad:
    > if he goes he is going for medical check-up
    > if he goes he is being wasteful with financial resources
    > if he doesn’t go it’s because he is very sick.
    That’s UPND in a nutshell.

    • They are complicated. He’s stays at home he’s fcuked he goes out is also fcuked. Sakeni deserves a sack for answering back to UPNDs sick jokes, there are so many serious issues that need attention unfortunately UPND jokes ain’t one of them. Give them the silent treatment before considering suing them, it’s worked wonders on linyungandambo criminals of Western Province.

  40. No one should wish anyone dead. But it is typical and unhelpful in Africa to have this tendancy of hiding illnesses of leaders. Let people know and avoid the speculation and political uneasiness. The Queen in the UK has had gastro-entritis in recent weeks and it has been official news. Tony Blair had a heart problem at his time and it was announced openly. There is nothing mysterious about about being ill. I am not saying Sata is ill – I don’t know. But if indeed he is, I am of the viiew that the nation should be TOLD! Gossip breeds witch-hunting, plots, hatred and diverts the country from continuing to address issues facing the populace.

  41. You zambians , i just do not know what some of you are up to. What has President sata surely done to deserve all the hatred from some of you guys. There is just so much insults and hatred flying around. Some of you are even wishing the president that he dies! oh dear! this is tantamount to witchcraft. As much as we cannot deny the fact that our president is getting older but wiser , the truth is , you are also getting older and to contrary much more unwise as can be seen from some blogs. Some blogs do not seem to mean well for zambia at all. Contribute wise blogs on issues for us to build a better zambia.

  42. Kennedy, if the President’s failure to attend Youth Day and Women’s Day celebrations doesn’t mean that he is ill, WHAT DOES IT MEAN THEN!?? The condescending attitudes of our politicians is disgusting. You think we’re all fools!

  43. Can the government learn to tell the nation the truth for once? It is not a crime for the President to be ill but it is criminal and malicious to lie to Zambians about his condition. We have been through this whole scenario once before, and it appears the cycle begins all over again. Leaders come and go, we know that. So why doesn’t PF face reality and accept that Sata’s health has not been good for many years. How many people over 60 yrs successfully recover from cardiac issues like our President suffered?
