Weekend Scorecard: Blades get joy from denting Power’s form

Share

Konkola Blades have taken the positives from their scoreless draw against Power Dynamos on Sunday.

The draw was Blades first away points against Power since October 17, 2009 when they also drew 0-0 at the same venue.

“This is a good draw for if you can recall at Power dynamos the few years we have losing our games at least we have picked up the points,” Blades coach Enos Silwimba said after a dramatic game that saw Power denied by the post three times.

Blades are second on 8 points heading into this weekend top three clash against Red Arrows who also have 8 points.

Meanwhile, Power coach Beston Chambeshi put on a brave face after failing to win his first home game of the season.

“We have the vision to come out of these draws. We will start winning,” Chambeshi said.

Power have failed to record a win in their last three games since March 16 when they beat a now-improved Nchanga Rangers 1-0 away in Chingola.

  1. Congratulations to Kabwe Warriors for collecting maximum points off Roan United. Winning away is no mean achievement. So far the team has won two away fixtures and yet we seem to be struggling at home losing to Zesco and drawing against Red Arrows.
The Coach must quickly identify why the team is not impressive at home and yet doing better away. Are the players under pressure to please their fans? My other appeal to the Coach, is to keep the stadium open so that soccer fans who want to watch the trainings can do so.

  2. this bonwell mwape of nchanga rangers is quiet good.
maybe renard would do good to call him for assessment at national level.
