Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu says there is no vacancy in government right now that former Foreign Affairs Minister Given Lubinda can occupy.
Mr.Lungu says he is aware that Mr.Lubinda finished serving his six months suspension but notes that Mr.Lubinda has to wait until there is a blank file somewhere.

He however says it’s up to those in charge of filing vacant position to see which positions vacant and decide on whether to give it to Mr.Lubinda or not.

Mr.Lungu says no position remains vacant waiting for some one on suspension but some one quickly takes over so that the works keep moving.

Mr.Lubinda was suspended from the party for six months facing charges of treachery and disloyalty to the party.

Mr.Lubinda was then demoted as foreign affairs minister thereby relegated to the backbench in parliament.

    • It appears so. Or may be some overzealous journalist asked him to comment on the same. But he should have just said “No comment”.

    • Pf always seem to want to show that there working so different people always make statements. Its funny he can say no vacancies when the have ministries with 3 deputy ministers

    • I know about Lubinda’s suspension from the party, but was there an official announcement about him being fired as minister (apart from that explanation on changes in sitting arrangements in parliament)? Lubinda’s experience is a good lesson to our youth on why they must be concentrating more on their education than political careers, coz your profession is the only thing no one can ever take away from you. All this political fame is temporal and worthless – thats why politicians behave on top of the world and steal the most while their sun shines….

  1. i actually have never seen what value people see in this so called Given. Just like i never so any value in Ukwa am sure am right

    • I agree with you 100%. i also dont know what people look for into hh such a narrow focus person looking at how a tribal party can rule.

  2. Has Sata Arrived from Ethiopia.? because this Lungu guy seem to have started growing feathers..i still have hope in Lubinda. He would have debated the issue of subsid better than Miles Sampa.

    • It is PF boi, everyone is a spokesperson…. you would expect Sakeni issuing such statements, but no, everyone with a mouth is a spokesperson. i hope we dont get a contradicting statement from another minister.

  3. Kabimba is at the centre of Lubinda’s suspension and predicament. But why not fire a deputy minister from the opposition and give the position to Lubinda?….. He is one of the few experienced people in PF.

    • ZWD is at the center of Lubinda’s problems that led to his suspension. Remember all those so called “CREDIBLE SOURCES CLOSE TO STATE HOUSE TOLD US FIAKUTI FIAKUTI” the dudes at ZWD used to refer to all the time in their articles? Yeah, you got it, it was Lubinda! And he got caught, that’s why he was suspended–not because of Kabimba!

  4. Lungu you sound like you are really loving this. Come 2016 there will be no vacancies for you and your fellow gremlins to occupy and Lubinda will be spoilt for choice, so enjoy while it lasts.

  5. The situation that Lubinda currently occupies is, simply put, self-inflicted. There tends to be, enveloping Lubinda, an aura of deep mistrust, as a person not be entrusted with any sensitive position. He is seen as somebody lacking commitment to the ethos of PF.

  6. wait, wait, waiiiit!!! Another statement will be coming from the almight spliiiinter kapimbe.this drunk is too junior to comment.

  7. Mr Lungu is right to say there is no vacancy for Mr Lubinda because the only vacancies which are there they are only for opposition MPs in order to cause by elections.

  8. Appointments as deputy ministers from opposition is done at the expense of credible PF members. Only we outside PF can point out this misnorma as any PF member raising this matter would risk live lynching by trained PF militias. This closed PF party of monopolising wisdom by one man (Sata) spells its demise as pangas and machetes will fly when Sata will be no more. At present its more important for PF to award defecting opposition chaps with posts than Lubinda. How strange?

  9. He has joined the many jobless people . He was one of those promising youths ati more jobs. Now Lubinda it’s time to stew in your own juices .

  10. Isn’t the current foreign minister still acting? He should go back to that ministry or replace Mr. Lungu at home affairs.

  11. PLEASE LUNGU, LUBINDA IS BETTER THAN YOU. HE IS MUCH PRESENTABLE THAN SOME OF THE PF JOKERS. WHAT PF ARE DOING IS EXACTLY WHAT KILLED MMD. FOTUNATELY PF IS A 1 TERM PARTY COME 2016 THEY WILL BE VOTED OUT. THEY ARE TAKING ZAMBIA BACKWARD JUST LIKE THEIR BACKWARD STRATEGIES.

  12. Lungu speaking like an excited small child. I think his acting as President has gone into his head.

  13. At Full Cabinet Ministers level, the following are practically vacant;

1). MINISTER of JUSTICE – Vacant
2). MINISTER of HOME AFFAIRS – Vacant
3). Minister of Information & Broadcasting – Vacant
4). Minister of Tourism – Vacant

Want to belive Lungu had too much Kachasu last night celebrating Chipolopolo’s victory and is not in his right frame of mind.

LUBINDA WILL BE TAKING UP A FULL CABINET POSITANY OF THESE PREETY SOON.

  14. At Full Cabinet Ministers level, the following are practically vacant;

1). MINISTER of JUSTICE – Vacant
2). MINISTER of HOME AFFAIRS – Vacant
3). Minister of Information & Broadcasting – Vacant
4). Minister of Tourism – Vacant

Want to belive Lungu had too much Kachasu last night celebrating Chipolopolo’s victory and is not in his right frame of mind.

LUBINDA WILL BE TAKING UP A FULL CABINET POSITION IN ANY OF THESE PREETY SOON. The gangs days where numbered a long time ago. It’s time to dance now.

  15. Mweba journalist please muleyako ku sukulu! What’s the meaning of this: Mr.Lubinda was then demoted as foreign affairs minister thereby relegated to the backbench in parliament.

  16. Who cares! There are a lot of jobless people in Zambia, what’s so special about Given, what’s special academic qualifications does he possess?

  17. Reading in-between the lines of Lungu’s comment, Lubinda is blacklisted within PF.
They don’t want him in the party and will frustrate him this way.

  18. bwana Lubinda started feeling he is above or just next to the president, hence his reward. He even went further by not asking for forgiviness,he might be presentable but the more important qualification is loyalty brothers and sisters, you should know which side of your bread is buttered if you have a head. I would rather have old munkombwe than have lubinda who plots againest me.congratulations PF

  19. Lungu is going too far. He is not the appointing authority or is he still acting President?
    Where is the President?

  20. Where did Lungu come from. I can’t even find him on the photos taken during the campaigns. Elyo shatala mumonapo ati Ba Lungu abakachita campaign ku Luangwa. Patali. You people wake to the fact that we know where PF came from. Sad also we know where it is going if fellows like Lungu and balya njikwite are let loose.

    • CHI Edga stop talking to much we dont even know your roots leave matured lubinda alone enough is enough ,is he a threat to you?
