Nkana, Zesco set for league game-changer

Share

Nkana legend Jericho Shinde believes leaders Nkana’s top-two showdown against Zesco United this Saturday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola is a league title game-changer.

Nkana visit Zesco in a top two Week 13 clash that could decide the direction of this seasons FAZ Super Division title.

An away win for Nkana will see them open a five point at the summit of the table.

Victory for Zesco will see them extend their unbeaten run against Nkana extended to 11 successive games and hand them a one- point with two games to go before the halfway mark of the season.

Nkana have never beaten Zesco since the latter was promoted in 2004 in which period the Ndola side has won six and drawn four of their last 10 encounters.

Shinde, who won three league titles with Nkana in the 1980’s, said the match is too close to call.

“It is definitely (a game changer) you can’t under rate Zesco,” Shinde said.
“It will be very exciting it will be a 50-50 game. The best team will carry the day.”

Meanwhile, the good news for Nkana is Evans Kangwa who returned from his trails in Spain last Friday is available for selection.
