Police, DEC accused of abusing Hamasaka’s rights

Share

Lawyers representing former Evelyn Hone College head of Journalism section Clayson Hamasaka whose house was raided in the early hours of this morning have accused Police and Drug Enforcement Commission agents of abusing their client’s human rights.

One of the lawyers Gilbert Phiri says the officers should follow the right procedure when picking up suspects.

Mr. Phiri says it is unfair for officers to detain their client from 03:00hrs this morning to this afternoon without clearly stating why he is being held in police custody.

He says the whole issue is a fraud and an abuse of human rights.

A team of Drug Enforcement Commission officers raided Mr.Hamasaka’s house in Woodlands’ Chalala and searched his house until mid morning today.

He was then taken to a lodge near mass media area where the officers suspect he has been uploading stories to the Zambian Watchdog website.
By this afternoon, Mr. Hamasaka was still in dentition at Force headquarters.

Efforts to get a comment from Police Public Relations officer Munganga Chanda proved futile as she was reported to be in a meeting.

    • @Ba Ndobo, the crime the two committed of selling narcotic drugs on Zambianwatchdog.com is acceptable. The search warrant was for drugs, and DEC are trying hard to access laptops.. they can’t find the password. They tried:
      Sata
      HH2016
      Nawakwi2
      Guy-Scott VP
      Chimbwi-no-plan

The guys will sleep in cells, uyu wena baleta balebalonga, the vicious viper is out!!

  2. It’s not DEC or ZP. These guys are only carrying instructions.

It’s that Diapered UKWA who should be chucked out and now. His lies have caught up with him to an extent he’s busy soiling himself in his pants. Oh I forgot the urine bag frequency change has equally doubled.

    • @Kay2 yes, I am behind DEC as well. The chap likes to put zambia in an alarming state. Always slandering the government for th sake HH. Let him be locked up, stupid *****!!

  3. DEC should use a software called Active Password Remover if they re to remove the password on this chap’s machine. Let him pay for his misdeeds. You can’t slander any person in the country like that. Bravo DEC and ZPP. Let this chap be canned and wipped on his naked black buttocks!!

    • People like you make me sick to my guts, so what are you really advocating for? You want every journalist or publication to be pro government?? When these guys successfully gets rid of the watchdog, who is going to provide criticism when the government errs? We all know that the post is incapable of doing so. Sometimes you need to use your brain, you are a grown man/woman.

  4. What makes sad reading is that those who are employed and supposed to protect the law are the ones busy raping it…cry the beloved country!
