Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili on Tuesday said Cabinet has finally approved the name of Lusaka stadium, which will be called

‘Gabon Disaster Heroes National Stadium’

Twenty Cabinet ministers are said to have sat down and approved the name.

“Cabinet has finally approved the name of Lusaka stadium, which will be called Gabon Disaster Heroes National Stadium. This is in honour of our national football team that perished in 1993 while on national duty,” Kambwili said.

A lot of Zambia have expressed shock and disappointment at the name. The two soccer Associations namely, the Zambia Soccer Fans Association and the Zambia Sports Fans Association are not happy that government has included Gabon and Disaster to the new name, which they say do not represent the national heroes that Zambia has had.Zambia Sports Fans Association chairman Peter Makembo said the name is also too long for a stadium.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Kalusha Bwalya said the 50,000 capacity stadium under construction in Lusaka should be called ‘Heroes Stadium’ and not Gabon Disaster Heroes National Stadium.Kalusha yesterday tweeted that ‘Heroes Stadium’ is more appropriate as it will include the heroic performances by national teams of 1974, 1993, 1994 and that for 2012 which won the Africa Cup.

Soccer fans talked to said they could not believe national leaders could come up with such a name.

  1. While we are it, we might as well call it :The Gabon Air Crash Disaster that Claimed 33 heroes a few kilometers into the Atlantic Ocean – 20-man Cabinet endorsed Stadium.

    • Am warning all of you blogger who are insulting the PF government by suggesting that they change a good staduim name…Gabon Disaster Heros staduim is good and encouranging name,,, learn to support the government of day and avoid insulting by opposing,,,,,

    • Kambwili is a nut case!

Call Memorial Stadium, or Heroes Stadium. Disaster, really? The stadium is going to be a disaster, no good games there. Just wait.

    • @nubian

why are you insulting? you must be patriotic,,, Gabon Disaster hero stadium is an excellent name,, just dont read it out loudly,

    • @Goncalves..
its not patriotism because am not PF ,,, am just afraid of insulting in the zambian PF context

    • Why not involve the nation to come up with a name than 20 people to represent the majority. Thats really a bad name, I pray we dont go for that that name….God help us!

    • Capitol Hill, you are the one, all has been summarized. What a great name to befit honoring of the naming heroes, cabinet ministers, as well.

    • Let us not be cheated – it wasn’t a group of 20 men and women. It was one man, namely Michael Chilufya Sata who decided on the name.

The other 20 are just spineless !mbeciles who do not have the guts to object to the appointing officers weird frame of mind for fear of lossing their jobs.

    • Iwe Dobo nefishilingile bushe kusapota? Wise up! does it is mean u support anything that does not make sense the name itself is already a disaster what disaster do u want us to support. Let me stand for presidency and win I will change the name to “Hereos 93 Stadium”.

    • kekekekekeke, awe wansekesha iwe. I thought a ka short name would do. Just KK11. People will shorten the name to simply Gabon Stadium.

    • Maybe in the 20 man infinity of wisdom. They are thinking way ahead of all of us. For any future stadiums, there would be no wasted time with naming. They would simply be named Disaster 1, 2, 3..

    • But PF Cabinet is full of ifipuba, non of those chimbwis could see that “DISASTER” is not a word you can name anything including PF Party?
Or is it Kambwili who is a disaster? Why the cabinet fear it, including GBM didn’t think of that? Unbelievable, that those 20 *****s are their sitting on their tails, while Sata shouts at them, so they even end up approving “disaster” as a name of a national monument.

    • if they want to honor the dead team, then i suggest naming the stadium”APRIL 23rd NATIONAL MEMORIAL STADIUM”there is a stadium in ANGOLA i think named by date..just me thinking out loud for Kalu!!!!!

  2. That’s a very sick name. How do you call a place of fun “Gabon”, “disaster”? Heroes Stadium would have made a lot of sense.

    • I think the ZWD have been exonerated! For all the names they heap upon this Govt….

  3. For a Christian nation, Zambia tends to name things awkwardly lol. These little idols of stadia you you make and forget the miracle of 2012. Jesus forgotten way to easily in a Christian nation. Why not name the Stadium Lusaka stadium and no quams shall arise. Then I saw who named the Olympic sized swimming pool for the junior Africa games last year and I stopped talking.

  4. Am told the one that will be built in Mongu will be called “chibombo accident victims national stadium”

    • Hhehehehehhehehe, kuntu waseka kwati nafiwama mwe, this Government is full of chamba smoking people nalyo ilya menshi especially ba sata!
Just imagine them sitting a round table with suits, drinks all smilling as if they will come up nefyamano kanshi tapali, hehehhehehhe, what a joke!
what does then this reflect on us all as ship being led by such? am sure they all call us fools ngafyakumana!

    • PF GOVT SHOULD ALSO ENSURE THEY BUILD A STADIUM IN LIBREVILLE, GABON, CALLED “ZAMBIA PLANE DISASTER HEROES STADIUM.” THE ROAD LEADING TO THE STADIUM WILL BE NAMED “DIRAMBA BAD REFEREE DISQUALKIFIED ZAMBIA FROM WORLD CUP 1994 HIGHWAY.”

  5. This is ridiculous! Let us bear in mind that not only Zambians will play there but a lot of African teams, including Gabon. The Cabinet Ministers are opening a healing wound between the peoples of Gabon & Zambia. HEROES STADIUM will still honour our fallen heroes whilst maintaining the relations that Zambia & Gabon share. This affects our global image as a country as well. Think beyond the walls you’re building!

  6. A Titles or names have guidelines. So our govt with 20 people could not critically see that the name was wrong. “Zambian National Team heroes stadium” why mention Gabon disaster. We do not want the name of Gabon. It is like we supporting

    • ITALIAN-presidential material we would be asking too much of our cabinet ministers. Asking them to think with logic is a misnomer. They operate on impulse bustele thinking yaku Mwingi secondary in northern province. It’s a good way of thinking if used in the right environment; let’s say getting some “SOME” lazy Zambian employees to work. Only Michael Sata, Given Lubinda and Nkandu Luo have cognitive logical brains in our government on the PF side. Yes Sata thinks thus Lusaka being majestic in the 80s.

  7. Awe mukwayi, me i suggested “The International Gallant Zambian National Soccer Team Which Perished In Gabon Off The Coast Of Libraville En Route To Senegal Stadium” but awe, cabinet didn’t listen because am a woman…….. N Way Ndeloleshafye

  8. This the best event PF government has ever come up with!!! Garbon Disaster Heroes National Stadium is a very encouranging name,,, Mr Sata please donot change the name… those people opposing the name …are just jealous and bitter,,,once again mr president thank very much for the name!!!! viva good name

  9. It’s like woundering about how you will call your unborn child.sure GABON DISASTER are we serious?. What if in future a Stampede happened at the stadium and some soccerfans died What will people say about that name? (at Bafwile ku Gabon disaster stadium). Why not Simply call it Heroes Stadium Bwana Sports minister?

  10. Kambwili never entered a classroom, wasnt this the same bafoon who named a swimming ati 90 days legacy swimming pool? this i.diot was saying they re introduce the compulsory training of youths like in KK’s era, the whole cabinet is full of meat heads cant you call the stadium heroes national stadium?

  11. What do you expect from a Kaponya government?. The whole lot and their cadres are intellectually and morally challenged. While at it why don’t we just call it ‘The PF Government Disaster Stadium’?

Isn’t this the same reckless canoe crew that gave us ‘the 90 days miracle swimming pool’? These guys are seriously on weed!

    • kaponya what?,,, you are insulting!!,,, a combined team of armied forces will be despatched your house so that you explain what you mean,,,hahahahah… its not a joke

  12. TO THE CABINATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA’

DEAR OH DEAR, WHAT A SILLY NAME. WHY DO WE NEED GABON IN THAT NATIONAL STADIUM? ALSO WE DON’T NEED DISASTER IN THERE. AS PEOPLE HAVE OBSERVED ALREADY, CALL IT A SIMPLE NAME LIKE HEROES OR FOOTBALL HEROES OR HEROES 1993 STADIUM OR 1993 HEROES STADIUM.

  13. NO!
    NO NO!
    NO NO NO!
    NO NO NO NO!
    NO NO NO NO NO!
Please LISTEN to the OWNERS of the stadium. We the people. We DON’T WANT that disaster of a name. We want “National Heroes Stadium”. If you don’t heed our demands, we will find someone who will.

    • why no? thats a great name,,, built your staduim and name it,,, you should appreciate president sata has built a stadium and named it for you….donot say anymore words otherwise a combined team of armied forces will visit you

  14. I am a malawian.the zambians are right i just the stadium to be called ”HEROES ’93 DISASTER STADIUM” That would sound better off.omit Gabon plz coz it will confuse people.

  15. Why not keep it simple and name it as:

    “Heroes Memorial Stadium”

    OR

    “1993 Heroes Memorial Stadium”

    • I like that : Heroes Memorial Stadium. Conveys the sentiment and slips easily off the tongue.

  16. Capitol Hill @ #1, I totally agree: Why dont we just call it “Gabon PF Government ZAF Buffalo Disaster KK 11 Copper Bullets 1993 Chiluba Team that Perished while on National Duty Heroes National Stadium, Lusaka, Zambia”? Sometimes you have to wonder whether our so-called Cabinet is just composed of people with the collective IQ of a garden snail. How on earth can a group of supposedly intelligent people come up with such a pathetic name? It honours the disaster and the nation of Gabon more than it honours the Zambian heroes who perished in lost their lives! This is a sick joke! What is so difficult about consulting about these issues? Why can’t you even solicit for suggestions from the public if you are so lazy to exercise your brains thinking? This is truly a national disgrace!

  17. Why didnt they call upon the masses to vote for the name? am suprised they didnt even ask Kalusha in my opnion him and us are more entitled to giving that stadium a name than these guys, after all it’s the tax payers who have the right to call it what they feel like, indeed am just at a loss of words only inselefye which i shall keep to myself thank you, like Mushota ends it.

  18. Sounds as if there was a disaster in Gabon and they acted heroically saving people – as firemen or policemen

  19. Wow! Why is Gabon being honoured. Maybe it should be “Gabon Disaster Diramba Heroes National Stadium”. And please do not forget to erect a statue of Diramba!

Okay, If it is a listening cabinet then it should listen to the feedback from the people. A proper name has been suggested by one of the bloggers “Heroes Memorial Stadium”. Any one who follows, Zambia or not, will understand the meaning of that name. I vote for that one.

    • Am warning all of you blogger who are insulting the PF government by suggesting that they change a good staduim name…Gabon Disaster Heros staduim is good and encouranging name,,, learn to support the government of day and avoid insulting by opposing,,,,,

    • @Ndobo which part, in my posting, is insulting to the PF government? There is a difference between disagreeing and insulting. As matter of fact the name “Gabon Disaster Heroes National Stadium” is insulting to the Zambian people, whether or not you support the PF government.

    • opposing the government of the day is called insulting… dont say any more opposing words otherwise,,a combined team of armied forces will visit your house so that you explain properly

  20. Now I have seen and heard everything there was for me. Hey, what a name. It looks the name was proposed and approved by kaponyas on a holiday.

I like the suggestion by Kalu. ‘Heroes Stadium’ sounds cool.

  21. Ama critics on everything bushe ta mu naka. Some of you always blogging, don’t you work yaba ba fikamba. Build your own stadiums and name them after what ever you wish

  22. R u F##king kidding me. That should tell u a lot about this Government… God help us……Sata and his Stupid Cadres @ their best.

  23. Sata/PF is Zambia Disaster Bufi National Government.God Save us from more Disasters.Zambians open yo spiritual eyes, this has a negative spiritual impact on Zambia as a nation.

  24. Oh my god only a BUFFOON by the name of Chishimba Kambwili can cook up a concoction like this….to add salt to injury the bloated cabinet gives it the GRZ’s seal of approval. We are paying these empty entities hefty salaries for nothing.

  25. I’m still waiting for a retraction – that this was reported incorrectly.

  26. Ndobo you are funny yeah! You have cracked my ribs wee. Naine naleka insulting mayo. P.f. fyaume. Ndobo! Ndobo! Ndobo!!!! Wapya baisa.

  27. I thought my colleague at work was joking when he mentioned Gabon and Disaster as part of the name. Heroes Memorial rolls off the tongue beautifully AND honours the memory of the KK XI as well. Think imwee ba pumpwe!!

  28. When God was giving out brains to name things, these chaps must have been at a party. “Gabon Disaster Heroes National Stadium” awe sure!! I will stick to Matero National Stadium or National Heroes Acres.

  29. This is what I would propose:

    National Heroes Stadium
    National Heroes Park
    Heroes Acre Stadium
    Heroes Acre Park
    Lusaka National Heroes Stadium
    Lusaka National Stadium
    Matero Acre Park
    Chipolopolo Stadium
    Heroes Arena Lusaka
    Heroes Acre Arena
    Heroes Park

    • if these pf dunderheads are really serious about honouring these gallant footballers they should show humility and accept that this name is in bad taste and abandon it. The best name they can come with is something like April 16th stadium ( sorry can’t remember the exact date of the plane crash. This is a simple name loaded with more meaning than the flat mouthful they are proposing

  30. Cabinet 1- 0 bloggers. For the 1st time govt has shown that it’s more intelligent than the led.The name look its in two parts nd deliberately long but not wrong.Govt knew there would be uproar and debate over the name then drop ‘gabon disaster’ to remain with ‘heroes national stadium’. By then everyone would’ve known which heroes govt is honoring.

  31. We might as well call our country: That which is on longitude 15 0 0 and latitudes 30 0 0; that also whose name is derived from the Zambezi river whose source is in kalene. In other words names are supposed to be short forms of descriptions. Gabon disaster fimofimo aint a gud name for a public place unless the namers entered school then dropped out in the early stages. Im sure people will settle for their own name

  32. that bafoon chi fart ya fart not fat. that chi fart black sports minister is jst a scatter brain, y are dull pepo very arrogant. its disgusting looking at that black thing. why do we elect these id.ots. fu.ck that big lump of sh.t

  33. This is how the meeting went:
MCS: Can someone come up with the suggestion for our new stadium quickly before my enemy RB beats me to it?
    W Kabimba: Constitution within 90-days stadium….
Silvia Masebo: How about Big Five poaching fiasco stadium…
MCS: That it…I’M NAMING IT “THE GABON DISASTER HEROES MEMORIAL STADIUM” !! Any question? NO QUESTIONS ! Now pass the joint ye bange iwe mwaiche Edgar Lungu! MEETING ADJOURNED !

    • No way mate, Sata did not name that stadium. It was clearly Kambwili, Sata did not even attend the meeting. Wow, Kambwili is such a nut case, definition of Chicoko indeed.

  34. Please let Kambwili and his Disaster Cabinet chaired by Satan not spread the PF Disaster on the entire nation.Lord God,I pray that no further disaster(s) shall fall on Zambia any more. The PF Disaster is the last,In Jesus’ Name-Amen.

  35. Sata did not name that stadium. It was clearly Kambwili, Sata did not even attend the meeting. Wow, Kambwili is such a nut case, definition of Chicoko indeed.

  36. Sata did not name that stadium. It was clearly Kambwili, Sata did not even attend the meeting. Wow, Kambwili is such a nut case, definition of Chicopo indeed.

  37. Name the damned stadium the “MCS is a disaster stadium”.He has surely brought our nation into disrepute.

  38. LOL…ATI: YOU “KAMBWILI” …apparently thats the new insult, if you think like him, you’re called that! lol

  39. I am shocked and so disappointed that the government didn’t even take the time to consult Kalusha Bwalya, Charles Musonda, other survivors and the Families of those who died for their opinions. This name is bringing back pain instead of healing. “Gabon disaster” is not only a terrible name, it is bad omen. Change it Now!

  40. Cabinet did not come up with that name there is only one stup.id charcoal who just went with this name asking for a signature of approval, most of us are PF we just don’t want that stu.pid name “Gabon & Disaster” is my problem

  41. 20 cabinet minister sat down, pondered on the issue about an hour, called for recess, course they could not come up the name. After 30 min the meeting was in progress again, after 20 so called interllectual brains which I believe .. And I stand to be corrected with a tatol IQ of 50′ cameup with a very good name for the stadium ……… Gabon 1993 disaster heros stadium……. Kekekekeke what a bunch of moroooooons too much dobo.

  42. Now Kambwili Castigates Those Against ‘Disaster Stadium’ Name “If you dont Want the Name, You Can Hang”Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili has castigated those against the naming of the new Lusaka stadium as ‘Disaster Stadium’ telling them;“If you dont Want the Name, You Can Hang”‘You cant please everyone and those not happy will have to live with that.

  43. I am sorry but the story stands,” the Sports Minister disclosed and said this in the wake of fans (including FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya) rejecting the name of the new Lusaka Stadium.Meanwhile, spokesperson for the families of the 30 heroes who perished off the coast of Gabon on April, 28, 1993, Joyce Chabala has thanked govt for the gesture.

  44. ”We are very happy and wish the President long life. Thank you very much.”Hon. Kambwili said government consulted widely before naming the stadium and that the name which was approved by cabinet could not be changed by anyone.”We cant say ‘Heroes National Stadium, heroes are too many, we need to specify that we are honouring the Gabon Victims Heroes. The most important thing is that we consulted widely and this name came out prominent.”

    • Which consultancy is he talking about? If FAZ, the two football fans bodies can complain, who did he/they consult? That’s the problem of thinking with blubber under his/their potbellies.

  45. These cabinet ministers are I.D.I.O.T.S. from WANKUVER! how can they dishonor the fallen heroes that way. You cant use the word “disaster” in association with a colosseum. and “gabon”?????? those rockers shot down our plane. read the effin report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what you get when you vote embeciles into positions of responsibility. What a load of mafi!

    • Zambia is a jungle now, these imbeciles are really messing us up. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we discovered that they sold off our country.

  46. If,as reported in most papers, the government wishes to stick to the disaster name;would it not be acceptable that they rather adopt the date this unfortunate event occured? There are, across the world, stadia that have been named after important national dates. Let it be named “28th April 1993’s Heroes Satdium”.Get rid of the names GABON and DISASTER,twapapata!

  47. Just wait and see, that name will be changed soon. Heroes National Stadium would have been a better one. let the public be involved when you are making such decisions. This country belongs to every Zambian and not only one party !!!

  48. For once, please let the govt listen to the people of Zambia. You can not dump a stupid name on the people just like that. How can you let a decadent shallow group of 20 *****s to come up with a name for what should be the most prominent sports structure in the country. Sometimes i feel like divorcing myself from this Zambia.

  49. it can be named as “The 30 Heroes Stadium” and name the sections(VIP, Wings and open) of the stadium after them inluding the entrance and exit gates. In that way it will be more positive apporoach and explaintory. We can mourn forever by reminding ourselves that it was a disaster. besides we have the burial memorial park near by which can take the name suggested.

  50. Zambia does not belong to Sata and Chimbwi(li). The loan used to build the stadium will be repaid by all tax payers. The slug-heads must be reminded they are not naming their dogs. Ba Pumbavu Kabisa…

  51. football heros national team, if thy want it to be specific..
tht way, even the curent football heros will feel part of it..

  52. I’VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A ST***U**_PID CABINET LIKE THIS ONE UNDER PF.i WAS A SUPPORTER OF PF BUT I’VE CHANGED COZ OF THESE ST—PID PRONOUNCEMENTS.WHY WHY WHY ON EARTH SUCH A NAME?ARE THEY PATRIOTIC ENOUGH TO PUT CARBON AND DISASTER ON THE NAME OF THE STADIA?AWE KWENA KUTI WAPENA NA GOVT IYI.CHABIPA SAANA MU ZAMBIA.I THOUGHT WE HAD A SAVIOR IN THE NAME OF BA SATA BUT IWE KATWISHI.BU DICTATOR NABO NI PAMUSHI.IYO LATE CHILUBA ALIMWENE BA SATA TETI BATEKE BWINO.ELO NGA NI CHIKAMBWILI IWE MUMUTWE MWALIBA TOBO NA BU JARABO.I SEE PF LOOSING ELECTIONS IN 2016 IF THEY CONTINUE WITH SUCH MENTALITY.PLAYING WITH MINDS OF ZAMBIANS EVEN WHEN IT COMES TO SOCCER WILL BRING DISASTER 2 PF.EVEN KAPONYAS IN TOWNS ARE AGAINST THE NAME OF CARBON DISASTER.

  53. Lets call it Levy Mwanawasa I Stadium and the Ndola one be called Levy Mwanawasa II and the livingstone III , ….Mongu iV and so on….kekekek may be we call

  54. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE LIKE CRITISIZING EVERYTHING ON POLITICAL LINES. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT CABINET CAN ALSO ERRE AND WHEN IT DOES, LETS TRY TO ADVISE THEM WITH RESPECT. IF THE NAME HAS ALREADY BEEN GIEN SO BE IT. DID THE CABINET CONSULT ON NAMEING LEVY MWANAWASA STADUIM? THERE ARE CERTAIN POWERS GIVEN TO CERTAIN OFFICERS WHICH THEY CAN CARRY OUT WITHOUT CONSULTING THOSE WHO THINK THEY SHOULD ALWAYS BE CONSULTED. IF ANYTHING, THE GOVERNMENT CLAIMS THEY CONSULTED. AS FOR ME, I WOULD NOT SUPPORT THE NAME ” HEROES STADIUM’ BECOUSE WE HAVE SO MANY HEROES. I WOULD RATHER GO FOR ” THE 28TH APRIL 1993 HEROES MEMORIAL STADUIM.” THIS WILL REMIND ALL OF US ABOUT THOSE FALLEN HEROES. MBUNJI . LUSAKA

  55. What has happened is exactly what used to happen in KK’s cabinet. Either you toe KK’s line of thinking or you are reshuffled, fired or worse, disappeared, if you happen to disagree with his decisions. In this case his excellency, king cobra decided the stadium should be given that ghastly name and the cabinet, fearing for their jobs, endorsed it. KK’s one man show is here again.

  56. Is the Gabonese govt agreeable? Lets just call it heroes stadium period.for your own info even levy mwanawasa is already too long.

  57. The name is just pathetic to say the least. I think the Ministers who sat were not in their own self but were under the influence of demons and devils of disasters.
Just call it Heroes stadium period.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  58. Even Mabvuto stadium can sound better…..

Agony is coming from the Copperbelt or kabwe going for a Zambia game, you have to pass through Chibombo on your way to disaster……..Jeez I would stop watching football.

  59. from kabwe passing through Chibombo on my way to disaster……………it would take a brave to catch a lift from that car

  60. chishimba chimbwi——-li disaster cabinet of 20 vikopo national cakuti, cakuti, twenu, twenu, fimbi fimbi stadium.

  61. Could someone clever here write an article to Lusaka Times, expressing our counter suggestion of the name of the Stadium in Lusaka? Also advise the government to consult widely, say be a poll for naming public institutions, particularly when they lack inspiration for English names.

  62. But iyi govt yemve ni bwetete mwe. Whom did they consult to come out with such a wird name? Just admit that ni Sata ali chita dictate that name. The man is allegic to take advice. Even ama airports, he just woke up in the morning and vomited his words to his kaponya ministers. Everyone around him is afraid to give him advise coz he does not listen. Ni leader wa bwanji who is feared by his own people? Efyo mwalapangila ama blanderes fulu. Any decision you make is not welcomed by the people. Ati we cannot satisfy everybody, yet nga ama elections yaisa, you want everybody to be satisfied and voti for you. Ifishilu fyeka fyeka. Chapwa pa Zambia, we lost our direction! Ni confusion fye iletuteka apa. Amanyeeeeee

  63. Arrogant miniser, who would like to watch a match in a disaster stadium, and why Gabon this is not Libreville, we ll see who will hang in 2016

  64. There so many accidents which have happened in zambia for instance chibombo zampost disaster, why should the country use the name of another country to name a stadium. There so many good names in zambia like, KK 11 and chipolopolo 2012 national stadium because this name will be remembered by all zambians that this is the year we won first ever african champions. simple since we have levy patrick mwanawansa we think of king frederick TJ chiluba also did good things when he was president, another stadium to called Rupiah Banda and last michael chilufya sata and so on and so on. it will help our children to remember civics if we continue naming after our presidents thank in jesus name

  65. PF GOVT SHOULD ALSO ENSURE THEY BUILD A STADIUM IN LIBREVILLE, GABON, CALLED “ZAMBIA PLANE DISASTER HEROES STADIUM.” THE ROAD LEADING TO THE STADIUM WILL BE NAMED “DIRAMBA BAD REFEREE DISQUALKIFIED ZAMBIA FROM WORLD CUP 1994 HIGHWAY.”

  66. Surely there is no one with some sense in cabinet? I miss ……, may be he could have opposed it.

  67. It is ,’National Heroes stadium,’kwapwa. Can the govt just listen kwapwa.Don’t let morons like Goncalve,Ndobo,Nostrandum,Engineer and others like them have a field day. Useless human beings they are. Some of these id iots u wonder wen they work .

  68. The stadium name is OK. Let us just focus on what it was built for instead of wasting time criticisizing it’s name. Human beings all learn to live with a name, no matter how long or how compicated it is.

When the German designer Wolfgang Joop wanted to used a simple synonym for his first products in the US, his investors strongly disagreed with him with the argument: “do you think anyone can pronounce Yves Saint Laurent correctly?”.

  69. the problem is that when you guys are drunk that’s when you start naming things “ati Gabon Disaster ?????lmao!

  70. There is more opposition than support for this name. A sensible govt. would consult all stakeholders (which includes families of the departed heroes and soccer fans) and arrive at a name that most people are comfortable with. But then, did I use the word ‘sensible’? This PF govt. wouldn’t know what is sensible if it them in the butt!

The cabinet has been rebased. A digit has been removed from their brains. Now you can imagine how much lower their IQ has gone.

  71. Guy. Scott has no good for Zambia, I think he should be fired. All he thinks is to turnish my country.

  72. some names don’t give hope for business but unruly behavior. Stadium are business investment therefore require inspirational names.Who can love to go to a dancing called ” Alpha Disaster”
I think “National Heroes Stadium” sounds ok

  73. some names don’t give hope for business but unruly behavior. Stadium are business investment therefore require inspirational names.Who can love to go to a dancing place called ” Alpha Disaster”
