Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba has charged that Post Newspapers Editor in-Chief Fred M’membe will not succeed in his efforts to bring him down.
Mr Mwamba has since accused Mr M’membe of being behind the suspensions of PF officials in Northern Province for merely endorsing President Michael Sata’s 2016 candidature.
Mr. Mwamba told Qfm that Mr.M’membe is allegedly trying to divide the ruling Patriotic Front but that will never succeed in his mission.
The Kasama central Member of Parliament said Mr M’membe should not take advantage of the PF as he allegedly did with previous regimes.
Mr. Mwamba said he does not understand why people in support of a seating president should be victimized.
Mr. Mwamba said the suspension of PF officials in Kasama is unjustifiable.
He said a few individuals in Kasama are against President Michael Sata and that he is very aware of the whole plot.
Mr. Mwamba added that the same provincial leaders are the ones who should be suspended for indiscipline.
Yesterday, PF provincial secretary Evarist Chela announced the suspension of acting Kasama District party chairman Caleb Monta and three other party officials for spearheading the endorsement of President Sata as the preferred presidential candidate for the PF in the 2016 general elections.
Others suspended were provincial vice-treasurer Wedson Sinkololwe, Kasama District Youth Information and Publicity Secretary Jackson Simutenda and Kasama District Women Information and Publicity Secretary Ireen Chitongo respectively.
Recently, there has been a lot of squabbles amongst members of the PF in Kasama differing on the endorsement of President Micheal Sata to run for Presidency in the 2016 tripartite general elections.

Look my brother, during the 27yrs of KK the baroste agreement was dead and forgotten. when MMD came into power, there hope that one of the Wina brothers a lozi( the one he inherited that paper from) would be president,, when it didnt happen. Mmembe went back to western province with bitterness and vengence and unearthed that document and organised people with some laywer called pumulo someone. somewhere along the line when he got what he wanted (money and power) especially during mwanawasa he left his people in the cold.

I herein indicate that GBM’s opponents have been vindicated of his senseless accusations driven by his desire to be divisive both within and outside the PF. As a way forward, I would argue that GBM attempts unconsciously to twist a given normative description of a noun, but he is aware that he does not possess the necessary ‘knowledge’ or abilities to undertake such a task.
