The United Party for National Development (UPND) has accused Republican President Michael Sata and PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Mwamba, of sending cadres to attack UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema in Kasama yesterday.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, UPND Presidential Advisor, Douglas Siakalima says despite being attacked by some suspected PF cadres, the UPND entourage will still go back to Kasama and visit paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people.
Mr. Siakalima says the party will not be intimidated by the methods President Sata and Mr Mwamba are allegedly using to lower and attack the UPND leader.
Mr. Siakalima has also called on the Zambia Police to be professional in their operations warning that they will pay for the misery they are causing on the opposition.
And UPND Southern Province Chairman Hilliard Makweembo has accused President Sata of resorting to harassing Mr. Hichilema because he is feeling the pressure the UPND is mounting on him.
Mr. Makweembo says there is no doubt that President Sata has become dictatorial and thrown away the confidence the Zambian people had put in him.
He says there is need for the president to allow democracy which was hard earned to flourish in the country.
Leave Sata alone !!! An elephant care less what the mosquito does.Just blame those illiterates cadres and leave Sata alone.Smh

This is all politing and desperate ways of attracting sympathy with hope that people of southern province can do the same to H.E. the is that H.H is not known in kasama and has never held any successful rally. there are no structures for UPND. Lastest report has revealed that its actually a few UPND carders”civil servants” who are so happy with new salaries who tried to block him.

yaba, let freedom of speech but not insults flourish in Zambia. Let Zambians people check the GRZ where it has gone wrong but not to criticize like a headless chicken even when things on the ground are clear that the GRZ of the day is working. The PF hooligans who disrupted HH’s visit to the Chitimukulu were led by Nathan illunga, former DC under Chiluba for Kasama and ex-con Mande Bwembya, a semi-literate businessman who are under GBMs payroll. He recently bought them vehicles, to spearhead the endorsement campaign. These thugs do not represent the majority of Bembas in Kasama. HH should soldier on. We need young vibrant leaders like him
Sango what are you talking about? I heard and saw for my self PF cadres urging with police and insulting HH”s supporters and everyone including police. I think p f ools feel challenged that HH is coming to see his royal highness since CNp messed up with the chief. Gbm is suspect, He has bought colloras for cadres here in kasama – may be 30 or so.I heard them commenting that they should be seen to work because of the cars. Infact I have gathered that for every confusion the cadres make, they are paid 500 each, watchdog, come on the ground to investigate

When people say Bembas chase HH I wonder if these individuals really understand that Kasama is metropolitan town such that many people are not Bembas.. Kasama has mambwes,Namwangas. Lungus, bisas. Tabwas Tumbukasamd many from other provinces because we are one and Northern is just part of Zambia for Zambians.

I want to comment on to other chiefs in Zambia who are being used as PF cadres to also emulate to the way Bemba Chiefs are doing. The recent paramount chief was dethrone by the President but the Bemba Royal Establishment went ahead and enthroned him as Chitimukulu. Northwestern province teamed up to show the displeasure on some issues they saw was not right but the state threatened them for arrest and that came to an end. We are all Zambians and what we must understand is that before the so called government came in, we lived with our own chiefs and the government has taken away all the right from the Chiefdoms which is not right. Governments come and go, Chiefs have been here until Jesus comes.
These guys will really pay for attacking innocent people!
