Vice President Guy Scott has differed with President Michael Sata on Robert Chikwelete who the president has appointed as the interim Lusaka district Chairperson.

During the vice president’s question time in Parliament this morning, Dr Scott said Mr Chikwelete is a self imposed Lusaka district PF Chairman.

Dr Scott who was responding to a question by Kasenengwa Member of Parliament,Victoria Kalima who wanted to know whether it was now government policy for party officials to give instructions to the Police in reference to Mr Chikwelete, said Mr Chikwelete is not the Lusaka district chairman stating that he is a self appointed chairman.

But during the recent commissioning of the Pave Zambia 2000 in Chawama compound in Lusaka, President Michael Sata referred to Chikwelete as the Lusaka district chairman who he also allowed to address the gathering in the presence of Dr Scott.

Meanwhile Dr Scott said the roadmap for the new constitution will only be known once the Technical Committee on drafting the constitution presents the final draft constitution.

Dr Scott was responding to a question by Chipili Member of Parliament Davis Mwila who wanted to know the roadmap for adopting the constitution in view of the indication by the Technical Committee that it will hand over the final draft to the President at month end of October.

  1. Hahahaha.Dullness is like a pregnancy. You cant hide it for long.We used to tell people pf is made up of dull characters. It just needed 2 years to show. The events of the past few weeks tell it all.

    • Indeed. As they say here. More pop corns please!!!!!!!!

Bloggers. The game is just about to reach the crescendo. The swords are drawn and and battle lines drawn.

Snuggle deep in your couches and WATCH.

    • @Nostradamus
are you becoming a tribalist also?? dont you know that muzungu opusa has parkinson disease he cant diferential between chikwelete and banda.. kabimba and kabwili worse it leaves him confused with a headach

    • Policy contradictions, LIES and deception have short legs- Always very inconsistent indeed.

“Mr Sata has proved to this nation that he is nothing but a liar. His second name is Mr Liar. Everything that he has promised the Zambian people he doesn’t do it, look at the public order act, implementation of the devolution of governance-decentralization, where is the judicial reforms, where is the constitution, to mention but a few??,
He lies in the morning, he lies at lunch time; he lies before going to sleep. He can’t argue with this; his middle name is liar. He lied his way to State House. Mr Sata Liar the Deception! He needs to address the press and people through Question and answer but he can’t because he knows that he lied. When is Sata gonna sweep Zambia Clean as he promised?

    • Comparing the squabbles in pf to marriage differences is oversimplisitic. What we are now seeing has been brewing for sometime.

    • THIS IS CALLED SETTLING DOWN, IT IS JUST ANOTHER BEND ON A ROAD THIS WILL SOON PASS. IT IS THEIR FIRST TIME TO BE IN POWER SO THIS SHOULDN’T COME AS A SURPRISE. IT’S LIKE A MARRIAGE IF YOU VE NEVER DIFFERED YOU WOULDN’T KNOW YOUR WEAKNESSES, STRENGTHS, OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS. NOW PF KNOWS WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE MADE UP OF. THEY CAN EITHER USE THIS MOMENT FOR THE BETTER OR FOR WORSE THE BALL IS IN THEIR COURT.

  2. I have a strong feeling there gona be trouble when his excellence comes back from the UN Meeting. long time we justified why he is called King Cobra.

  3. Scott is right . You cannot just out of the blue appoint somebody . They have to be elections. Or the central committee has to appoint the interim position

  4. Confusion is now at the helm of PF heads, the President says this, the Vice also says something else, nowonder there is confusions, sorry the PF, hope you find the way soon, i wish you othe best in the wilderness you are right now.

  5. Scott needs to be told about how chimbwi afwile intangalalo, he has to decide now whether to be on the Bemba or Non-bemba factions of the PF. Not this situation where one minute he is talking for the Bemba and the next moment he is talking for the Non-bemba faction…

  6. I hate kabimba and his arrogance , but on the issue of resigning ,he is right other wise we have confusion being sponsored by the grade seven GBM

    • Leo Phiri, you claim to be graduate yet you cant match with a grade 7 wealth wise. Ubututu mucimutwe. you are a black sheep of your family.

    • @imprezza.that is his money.all i want are inteligent leaders not !d1ots like gbm,nsanda,kabwili etc.even terorists,thieves,graduates hav money.all i need is morality.swine bemba chap.

  7. I begin to belive that there is no human leadership in zambia, the country is just at peace simply because the power of God is upon us!!! sure how can Scott, the head of administration in the PF allow somebody to claim a position which he doesn’t own? that’s a lie! it’s clear the MUZUNGU just want to disown Mr.Chikweleti because of the so-called havoc the man is causing in the city.

  8. I think nevers mumba was right last thursday when he said that PF is a confused party. And the causer is the one know other than Sata.

  9. The problem is that PF runs like a monarch. I do not know of an elected official in the entire party structures. People like Chikwelete can stage a daylight ‘coup’ and Sata has no problem with that. But considering Sata’s past behaviuor, this is not any iota surprising. The next thing we will hear will be PF’s lawless dogs masquerading as cadres baying for Guy Scott’s blood. Cry the Beloved Country!

  10. We placed so much hope in a mere mortal to deliver. The current leadership was the people’s choice, not God’s. Anyway as they say, “behind every dark cloud, there is a silver lining.” We have started to learn the lesson, though the hard way, to ask God to choose leaders on our behalf. And the only way we can tell is by their fruits. The writing has always been clear on the wall what kind of characters we wanted to govern us, yet we thought they would conduct themselves in a different manner given the instruments of power. What is unfolding just proves how wrong we were as a people. Lessons are there to be learnt, I pray that we will learn this one and make correct and sober choices in the near future. Long live the republic of Zambia and its people-Zambia shall be saved in Jesus’…

  11. Problem with PF is that we have two extremes: the Literates and the illiterates. Apparently the illiterates are the boss, The literates want things done in the right way but the illiterates want it the KAPONYA way.

    • Nusosa chikwelete aiposelepofye pe bumba ilya salwa ulwa ubu butungulushi bwangu mufumyeni mu nkambi no kumupola amabwe.

  12. i wonder why nevers almost got arested for teling us that sata is runing a confused govt.the evidence is everywher e.g gbm vs wynter and sata is zeee, edga vs bob on ban of sale of maize, look at the colours of buses,on whose side is sata wynter or gbm?constitution, his international trips, baldhead saga, his cadres, salary increments etc.

  13. Isn’t this the confusion Nevers Mumba was referring to? Well he can use this example in his defamation case (on top of the hundreds to side shows PF displays every day)

  14. To clip these the endorsers and the other team , His excellency should drop GMB from DEFENCE Minister and KAMBIMBA from JUSTICE MINISTER and see how they behave from there from,..

  15. As much as I dont like Kabimba, the President’s management skill leaves much to be desired. He has failed to show leadership. He is playing hide and seek. He is ducking and diving. What is he scared of. Who is treatening him. Is it Mmembe. How much does Mmembe know about him. I know the Cartel might not have money but they brains. Solomon didnt ask for money but wisdom. The mafias have money but no brains that why they resolt to violency when they are challenged. Scot! I can forgive he is old, his memory is failing him. He even forget that Chikwelete is PF calling him to be MMD.

  16. Its normal, maybe PF will resolve their differences hence even the President and his vice are now differing on who Chikwelete is in PF.

  17. KK and his team, who included the current President, led the independence struggle, abolished democracy and redistributed infrastructure development beyond the line of rail. Chiluba and his team, who included the current President, restored democracy and restored the freedom of association and speech, privatised the highly inefficient loss-making cadre managed parastatals and liberalised the economy. Mr Sata and PF emphathised populism, restructured provincial and district boundaries and allowed Zambia police to change “notify” to “ask for permission” in the Public Order Act before an opposition political party can hold a meeting and the weakening of the opposition in parliament by enticing morally weak opposition MPs to resign and cause costly by-elections. What will the next group…

    • Chikwelete will soon organise cadres to demonstrate against Scott who has openly disagreed with Sata in the manner Chikwelete was installed as Lusaka PF District Chairman. We are watching.

  18. Nevers was right about this confusion business!!The President is allowing too much of this nonsense thats threatening the peace of our country.Scott is right 2 differ with this thuggery thats going on!Chikwelete aint the Provincial chairman coz he is a thug who wasn’t elected!
Wen he comes back from New York let Sata show leadership within the PF n even in Govt!We voted 4 him but that shdnt b taken 4 granted! All this confusion shd come 2 an end n let the thugs b jailed

  19. What a circus indeed yaba…..we know that president has advises question is does he listen to any advice or do advisers themselves under a spill

  20. This the best period ever for a journalist . There is news overflow. More jobs and money for journalist and lawyers as Sata creats more confussion.

  21. In a democracy leaders may differ but eventually they agree, we hope PF can raise above such petty issues and concentrate on develpment we all see they are almost there hence the panic $ silly outbursts from failed boys like nevers and his UNDP friend also picked like chikwlete.

    • Sometimes it is better to shut up when you have not grasped what people are discussing. How can you call these battles petty? The acting President has just entered the battle against Kabimba and Scott……

  22. Ba LT and your headlines! When I saw “Guy Scott differs with Sata ” I dropped evrything I was doing, got my pop corns and sat confortably to enjoy the reading. I thought it was on the scale of GBM and Kambwili V Kabimba and Mmembe!

  23. This has nothing do with tribe.Surely PF is a collection of people who do not know how manage people and resources. There is no skills to help the country and its people. Two years on we still in the management lab.PF is a failed project.

  24. Off course tribalism is evident now than before. Winter, Fred, Daniel and the likes of Kambili have propagated the tribal toxins against opponents with the hope of taking a political ride on the great northern region. Now the tribal seeds that were sown have come to bear within their own bedrooms. By the way where is Reverend Kaoma, he is a true Zambian and his counsel could help our beloved country.

    • Reverend Kaoma is a bigot who blamed a certain ethnic group of tribalism. The charge was that they voted for Reuben Kamanga instead of his beloved Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe as UNIP Vice President. Never mind that the said tribe was not from the east!

  25. Here is a list of full ministers:
    1. Agriculture and Livestock – Mr. Robert Sichinga
    2. Chiefs and Traditional Affairs- Professor Nkandu Luo
    3. Commerce, Trade and Industry – Mr. Emmanuel Chenda
    4. Community Development, Mother and Child Health – Dr. Katema
    5. Defence – Mr. Geoffery Mwamba
    6. Education, Science, Vocational and Early Education – Dr. John Phiri
    7. Finance – Mr. Alexander Bwalya Chikwanda
    8. Foreign Affairs – Dr. Lungu
    9. Gender and Child Development – Mrs. Inonge Wina
    10. Health – Dr. Kasonde
    11. Home Affairs and Deputy Chief Whip Mr. E.C. Lungu
    12. Information and Broadcasting – Mr.Mwansa Kapeya
    13. Justice – Mr. Winter Kabimba
    14. Labour and Social Security – Mr. Fackson Shamenda
    15. Lands, Natural Resources and Environment – Mr. Wilbur Simuusa

  26. Continued:
    15. Lands, Natural Resources and Environment – Mr. Wilbur Simuusa
    16. Local Government and Housing – Mrs Emmerine Kabanshi
    17. Energy and Water and Chief Whip Mr. Yamfwa Mukanga
    18. Tourism and Arts – Sylvia Masebo
    19. Transport, Works, Supply and Communication – Mr. Yaluma
    20. Youth and Sport – Mr. Chishimba Kambwili
From this list I can only see 6 Bembas. Okay if you include other Bemba speaking people that is 9. That is not 80% Bemba as some people are alleging. I make it 30% Bemba or 45% Bemba speaking.

    • No, its 11 out of 20 from your list which is obviously 55%, yet bembas are only 35% of the population. If you include deputy ministers the percentage then increases to 80%. All this is unacceptable and its clear TRIBALISM.

    • Analyze your list into key and non- key ministries, and also count Easterners and Bemba speaking on the side of Bembas because you favor each other. How many Tongas, Lozis, Kaondes, Luvale and Lundas are full cabinet Ministers? Don’t think when we are quite we are happy with the tribal discrimination that is going on.

  27. One does not simply disagree with his Excellency the president Dr. Michael chilufya cobra manchnchi sata! Maybe this guys is looking for a reason to get fired so that better get treatment for his illness.
    Ndelolesha fye.

    #The fist for president!

  28. PF is more of a party that lives in old adage of ‘You scratch my back I scratch yours’. It has many members who are not from a particular tribe. Majority may be of a type that speak the same language, which is a lingua franca of the majority in Zambia or in major towns and cities. The biggest problem with PF is that it has not recognised and rewarded responsible positions to Zambians with divergent views. It has rewarded important positions to those who are directly related to Mr. Sata. All political appointments, diplomatic appointments done by Mr. Sata in his first six months of Presidency were either to PF cadres or to his relatives or the people he worked with in ZSIC, Avondale Housing Project, UNIP, Lusaka City Council, MMD and then PF. A big number of diplomatic postings were…

  29. A vice President without the vice Presidency!!PF circus.Who acts when the cobra is not there?Contradictions are not surprising. The end is nigh.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  30. These are typical animal farm guys no vision no plan no nothing and a group of dull Zambians voted for such why would any vote for a group of wanna beez how do you give a car to to person that can’t drive when there drivers right next to you only a fool would do that, and now everybody is crying because of the stupid people that gave thugs the car keys, even in opposition pf was pathetic how do they become better now dull chaps
