Nkana, Zanaco set for big showdown

Share

Coach Keagan Mumba says Zanaco will not underrate leaders Nkana when the two teams clash in the FAZ Super Division Week 23 tie in Lusaka on Saturday.

Defending champions Zanaco lost 1-0 in the two team’s earlier meeting in Kitwe this season.

The match at Sunset Stadium will be a stern test to Kalampa’s 12th league title aspirations.

Nkana sits on top of the table with 43 points, seven above fourth placed Zanaco.

In their last match, Nkana beat Lime Hotspurs 2-1 in Kitwe on Wednesday while the Bankers lost 1-0 to visiting Konkola Mine Police in Lusaka.

“We will not underrate Nkana like we did Mine Police,” Mumba said.

“Nkana beat us away 1-0 so we have to work hard they are a good team having a good run this season,” he added.

Elsewhere, second placed Zesco United will host struggling Forest Rangers in the Ndola derby at Trade Fair Grounds.

Zesco are seeking to recover from last Wednesday’s home goalless draw with Red Arrows
