A FORMER Patriotic Front (PF) official in Lusaka has supported Mandevu Member of Parliament (MP) Kean Kapata in calling for disciplinary action against PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba for allegedly forming parallel structures and bringing the name of the party into disrepute.
Wellington Musonda who is former PF Lusaka District, information and publicity secretary accused Mr Kabimba of allegedly being behind the formation of parallel structures in the party to gain support to succeed President Michael Sata.
He said Mr Kabimba’s orchestrated structures had sparked confusion in the party. He backed calls to discipline Mr Kabimba over his alleged misconduct in the recent past weeks.
Mr Musonda said Ms Kapata was right to voice concerns and call for action against Mr Kabimba.
“Hon Jean Kapata is very right for her to demand that Wynter Kabimba be disciplined,” he said in a statement in Lusaka yesterday.
Ms Kapata who is also member of the party Central Committee had so far written two letters demanding disciplinary action against Mr Kabimba. Mr Musonda said the PF Secretary General should face disciplinary action over allegations of forming the parallel structures.
“Mr Kabimba is a Cabinet Minister and on oath who is supposed to keep oath on all the issues. He is accusing his fellow ministers to be corrupt just because he is in problems with the majority party members,” he said.
He said Mr Kabimba was on record having accused his fellow Ministers and some members of the PF of being tribal because of differences on party matters.
He said Mr Kabimba, who is Justice Minister, also accused of Defence Minister, Geoffrey Mwamba of plans to take over the presidency from President Michael Sata.
He said the sentiments had caused tension in the party and that members were now fighting among each other.
“Today Mr Kabimba has turned on Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Mwamba. Fighting Mr Mwamba for what? Mr Kabimba now has more enemies, than friends,” he said.
He appealed to PF Central Committee Disciplinary chairperson, Edgar Lungu who is Home Affairs Minister to take action on Mr Kabimba.
Well, now we know the reasons of his “official” travels to the bastions of democracy like Cuba, Sudan…..

Check the name of the man calling for Kabimba’s head. The list is getting long. Any sensible person will understand that the president was referring to GBM and his tribal clique’s parallel structures in PF as confusing the party.
Mc sata signed a legal document with kabimba pledging that he will serve one term and mr kabimba ,with the help of the post will make him win at all cost.
So if sata fires winter alot of under water secrets will be known.why the president is failing to send winter into diplomatic mission,?its because he will not be a factor in Zambia ‘s political game in 2016.
So the only workable plan is hoping the unforeseen.

What exactly are these parallel structures, and who are the officers appointed to this? Should we assume there is a complete new outfit in the shadows about to break out into a full-fledged political party, or are we talking about something akin to the Tea Party of the Republicans in the USA?

What is happening in PF today confirms the fact that the third term debate leading to the 2001 election was to a large extent orchestrated by Michael Sata. Clearly Sata was encouraging Chiluba to go for a third term while in the background, he was fighting the same third term, the reason being that he wanted to get the presidency on the back of its failure. The moment Chiluba’s third term bid was defeated leading to his nomination of Levy to succeed him, Sata resigned from the MMD and formed his own party. But this was after he had hounded out all the senior MMD leaders opposed to the third term. A close look at the people who are accused of being behind Kabimba and those against him one can easily see that someone is trying to play the tribal game here. It could be true but we should also be carefull in case someone is playing on our mind. Am tired and fed up of these squabled. Plse things have failed. Let us look for funds and go back to elections. Through out the Old Testament, GOD used the same methods time after time with different Kings & Queens. Did GOD not understand Democracy? Yes he did understand Democracy, but he had to take out those that poisoned and brought destruction.
If Kabimba had good intention, then Yes. But he wants to come to power and Multiply Corruption by making sure the Cartel don’t pay the loans and keep stealing with his buddies.

I get the impression either Zambia has just a general low IQ, or they don’t know what to do with their time. No wonder foreign investors are busy bringing from abroad even cleaners from their own countries because of just the nature of the Zambian psyche. Talking too much, no sense in the talk, no output. People just talk too much and very inconsistently. The best thing Zambians are good at is tribalism and gossip.

To be honest, the media in Zambia have become so boring, Nothing intellectually engaging apart from feeding on political squabbles. It just shows the quality of our journalism and may be no wonder Zambia’s journalism sector has the least number of exports outside the country compared to other professions.
Even all these blogsites today they would not survive without the rampant gossip and childish quarrels going on in this country. I’m not saying these issues should not be reported. However, we need some other form of intelligent content being given to the public. Flogging an already dead horse, over-milking an issue that is no longer news, seems quite trite to me. Even scandals have an intelligent way of reporting them. Check how other media report issues just within Africa, please.

Wynter Kabimba has succeeded in engineering the existence of two opposing camps that have been exposed within the PF structure.
One camp features the invasive weeds such as Kabimba, Mmembe, Masebo, Mutembo Nchito, a group that represents persons well-versed and well-drilled in deception to plunder the national resources and geared to the destruction of the justice system and electoral process in the country.
The other camp embraces GBM, Kambwili, Nsanda, Chikwanda, a group of original founders and financial backers of PF who still flag some measure of decency in the Party and Government.
President Sata has a mammoth task of either siding with the real PF original crop to restore his integrity; or team up with the invasive weeds and lose his popularity nationally.
