PATRIOTIC Front (PF) national youth Chairperson Chishimba Kambwili has warned youths against fanning confusions at this year’s Independence Day celebrations in Kitwe.
And Mr Kambwili has urged youths to pay their allegiance to the President and the party structures and not individuals.
He was speaking when he held a meeting with youths from constituencies at the Kitwe Little theatre yesterday where he was flanked by Copperbelt Minster Mwenya Musenge and Kitwe district PF chairperson Allan Mwewa.
Mr Kambwili, who is also Youth and Sports said President Michael Sata had received information that youths in Kitwe were intending to disrupt this year’s Independence Day celebrations.
He said reports indicated that there were two factions with one being in support of PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba while the other being against the Head of State.
Mr Kambwili said the party had no factions and that all members belonged to the PF and that the Secretary General’s issue was being handled by the President.
He said the Independence Day celebrations were a national event and confusions should not be entertained.
“Let us be honest with what we do and avoid dark corner meetings. Anyone fanning confusions will be expelled from the party. Don’t pay allegiance to individuals you will destroy the party, in politics if you are not careful you will lose direction and if you want to belong to a political party, believe in the President and the party structures,” he said.
Mr Kambwili said confusions had the ability to break the party and therefore all members should safeguard the interest of the party and promote unity.
He said the strength of the party was in the youths who had the energy to organize the party.
Government had a programme of developing the country and that the two years the party had been in power it had constructed over 1,500 kilometers of new roads.
Mr Kambwili said the party had also embarked on creating power generation projects to end load shedding in the country.
President Sata is expected to grace the Independence Day celebrations at Kitwe Playing Field (KPF) today.

Firstly, is the President receiving fake info?
Secondly, those in support of Kabimba are the same ones against the President.
Thirdly, if the intelligence reports says there are two factions, why does Kambimba say there are no factions?

How do you know that the only reason for planned demos is Kabimba’s issue? Do not hide behind the reality, just address those youths and answer they main issue of addressing what was promised to them. They have not forgotten, about the promises made to them remember….
Its uhuru day and not PF day or Sata day so those agitators are right in protesting the disrespect and dishonour shown to our nationhood and our independence heroes.

Kambwili should not be behaving as if he protects the President. He is just a minister. Let politics of tolerance grow. encourage those that want to protest, demonstrate and even shout to seek attention of the president, while forwarding their afflictions, micro/macro political/economical. it should not be upto a minister for Zambians to seek attention of the Head of State. Let people demonstrate. Your simple advice should be seeking peaceful means of attention seeking. the more you seem adamant and arrogant to people’s wishes, pray that they dont catch you, you may even make HE look like a puppet of his own ministers. Stop protecting the president in that manner, it is neither your duty or call. There are people assigned to protect the head of state, they will do their duty. with love
I think its time to respect People in Leadership.Really is it wrong for Kambwili to advise youths not to cause confusions during independence commemoration.Independence is not partisan or tribal it a national event.Allow his excellence Mr Sata to rule other you insulting and frustrating him .Bring on board positive discussions that can bring about development.You have seen development is taking place every where in Zambia, some thing that we have been crying for for a very long period of time.Tribal politics are very dangerous and it is some thing that we don’t wish.Talk of Nigeria with only 3 tribes violence does end .So i urge all peace loving Zambians to love one another.

Sata will be fine, i believe it is more to do with those that try to feed on attempting to please a people and person like HE. He is not interested.
