Blades cut Nchanga’s title interest

Share

Konkola Blades have shattered Nchanga Rangers’ dream of winning the 2013 FAZ Super League title.

Blades thumped Nchanga 2-0 on Saturday in a Week 29 match at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

Second half goals from Humprey Maseneko and Mervin Chipampe propelled Beston Chambeshi’s side to home a victory.

Maseneko pocked in a long range thunderbolt from outside the box in the 60th minute.
Chipampe wrapped up Konkola’s win with an 85th goal after benefiting from Nchanga keeper Toaster Nsabata’s blander inside the box.

Unchallenged Nsabata allowed the ball he had picked to slip through his hands and gifted Chipampe with a late goal.

The win has pushed Konkola from 8th to 7th position on the table with 44 points.
