Zimbabwean club Highlanders have handed their Zambian head coach Kelvin Kaindu a two-year contract extension.
Club secretary general Andrew Tapela has confirmed to the local media.
Tapela said Kaindu was the right person for the Highlanders top coaching job.
“Kaindu is a very young and ambitious coach and we have never doubted his capabilities. You can see his eagerness to succeed through coaching courses he has been attending in the UK and his home country,” Tapela told the press.
Kaindu was linked to FC Platinum before he renewed his stay at Highlanders.
He led Highlanders to ending a lengthy Cup drought when the club lifted the Mbada Diamonds Cup earlier in December.
The club finished second in the league.
