Zambian coach Kaindu gets a new deal at Zimbabwe’s Highlanders

Zambian coach Kelvin Kaindu has extended his contract at Zimbabwean club Highlanders.

Highlanders secretary general Andrew Tapela has confirmed that Kaindu has been handed a two-year contract extension.

Tapela said Kaindu was the right person for the Highlanders top coaching job.

He said the club was happy with Kaindu’s performance.

“Kaindu is a very young and ambitious coach and we have never doubted his capabilities. You can see his eagerness to succeed through coaching courses he has been attending in the UK and his home country,” Tapela told the press.

The former Zanaco Football Club star led Highlanders to ending a lengthy Cup drought when the club lifted the Mbada Diamonds Cup earlier in December.

The club finished second in the league.
