Sata risks tarnishing his image beyond repair – Tayali

President Michael Sata has been advised to salvage his image as a renowned politician and man of action before it is tarnished beyond repair.

The advised to the Head of State has come in the wake of the Saturday’s January 4 ‘Rescue Our Constitution Prayer Meeting’ that was held and used by the Church, the civil society and the opposition political parties to express their disappointment over government’s alleged failure to keep its promise of distributing the final draft constitution simultaneously to the public and the Head of State.

The Zambian Voice is of the view that going by the number of the people that gathered for the said prayer meeting and the interest groups that were present it is clear that if President Sata is not careful his legacy as renowned politician and man of action will be ruined.

Executive Director Chilufya Tayali has told Qfm in a telephone interview that in view of how the Patriotic Front (PF) is handling the issue of enacting the country’s new constitution, President Sata further risks being remembered in the country’s history as a man who allegedly cheated the Zambian people.

Mr. Tayali says this is also why his organization finds the launch of the Red Card Campaign that is being spear headed by the Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Frank Bwalya against the PF government over its failure to keep its promise over the final draft constitution, as a welcome move.

  1. @Mr Facts

“Sorry Mr tayali its too late ,the name has already been tarnished beyond repair.”

PSE LET US START DEBATING REAL ISSUES HERE BECOS DISCUSSING IMAGINARY STORIES AND RHETORIC SUCH AS ABOVE SHALL NOT WIN US VOTES. LET US GO OUT AND START CAMPAIGNING LIKE WILLIE NSANDA WAS DOING IN KASAMA TODAY.
I CHALLENGE U FOLKS TO GIVE JUST one reason BESIDES ‘AGE’, ‘POOR EDUCATION’ & ‘UGLINESS’ OF THE PRESIDENT, WHY PEOPLE IN LUAPULA SHUD VOTE FOR ANY OTHER PARTY.
MAJOR tangible DEVELOPMENTS ARE REALLY TAKING PLACE HERE SUCH AS
    • THE TARRING OF THE PEDICLE RD & THE BUILDING OF
    • A UNIVERSITY &
    • 2 x TRADES TRAINING SCHS

THESE ARE SPEAKING VOLUMES TO THE FOLKS HERE. OUR CHILUBA, FAILED EVEN TO SINK A SINGLE BOREHOLE FOR US, IN MORE THAN A DECADE OF HIS MMD RULE.

    • @Luapula premier
i think you and your Sata must learn that not all those who disagree with you are your enemies…and not all those who praise you are your friends… Sata has failed and dangerousily going to crush because of lies and the blind praise which he loves..
Mwanawasa was one relatively better president in Zambia,,, because he took criticism and minimised on lies,, had a proffessional approach to most things,, unlike this kaponya dochi kubeba style of leadership

    • My dear penguin, a road is tar and stones. It is a non productive asset. What does the road lead to. Any permanent jobs? Any permanent economic activity? No and no. The road, just as your uni, is a white elephant, meant to siphon money to friends during construction. Which professors are manning the institution, name 10 notable ones? Tell us your research budget? What is the size of your library? You’ll have fake graduates that cannot perform.

Take an economics class, pumkin head, and may learn a bit!

What and how much is being produced from your area? How many full time, non contractual nor seasonal jobs have been / will be created in relation to your overall population?

Dull fisherman, who thinks geting a tender to supply rocks for 2 weeks is development . THINK you bemba fool

  2. sata for life why all those threats we r behind u tata yr leadership is far beyond RB and other past presdos keep it up and ignore negative criticism.

    • If this Presidency is better than that of Chiluba, Mwanawasa and Banda then I’m afraid Zambia is headed for doom. Surely we should not as citizens accept such low standards. How on earth can normal people accept absurdity as the best? I’m shocked that in this modern day Zambia mediocrity is still highly praised. @ Lusambo please raise your bar a bit. This leadership is mediocre and does not inspire anyone sane. I can just imagine your standards in everything you do in life. Sorry if you were a contractor, I would never give you a contract because your product would be so mediocre!

  3. BA lusambo muli chipuba Fact!! Can’t u see hw the country is been destroyed, call a spade a spade and not a big spoon, iwe lusambo, who said they can deliver in 90 days, have u ever seen ukwa call a press conference to address the nation? How many by erections has he had. Think don’t show yo stupidity here. By the way I had voted for pf but they r a let down.

  4. @Premer
it now Monday and the holiday has ended, back to work.
I thought all who could write English, could have a positive reasoning, but no.
How do you support kiilings in Chelston and you go all the way from CB just to threat the local MP and do door to door check, but fail to see your friend at home. I doubt if the two asked, GBM would have refused to listen to Nsanda

  5. what image kekekekekekekekekek oh please I think even banda might have an image this one is just €£%=$÷@$$$

  6. This would be something if he had a worthwhile image to protect in the first place. From day 1 the man has made boobed even on the most basic of tasks. Look closely at his pictures and you will generally see a flat affect, signifying a man who is in his own world – detached from reality!

  7. What Lusambo must realize is that most of us blogger where keen supporters of the PF. However it’s their style of leadership that has brought a lot of questions than answers.
How do you interprete what happened in town oposit Radian stores where cadres forced shop owners to close shops and began to demarcate land illegally in full view of police?
What about the way traditional leaders are being handled especially the Bemba chief, am not Bemba by the way but I don’t support the gvt on this issue. Lusambo, you say they have built you a road, do you realize how much money we are borrowing for the same “development” like the recent one in Mufurila whe they should have instead taxed the mines through windfall tax. Am afraid you don’t seem to know the repacations of borrowing.

  8. Lusambo, what about the appointment of the chief justice and the DPP who even has a conviction of forgery and some of his cases are in the court and yet he’s entrusted in custodianship of the legal matters of our land? What about Kabimba’s own admittance of corruption in his own party. Do you know Lusambo our leader has never faced the people in a live press conference to answer some of our questions and to tell us which direction we going, we are just moving by faith! Fine, what about Masebo’s firing of ZAWA directors without following laid down procedure. Are you aware the price of ubunga is now double what it was. Do you know nurses were fired simply because they were promised increament? Do you know where the draft constitution is and what they a doing to it?

  9. I can never ever take this Tayali seriously! First alibutuka kubupatila Pamulandu wakutemwa ukunyenga! He got married akwata nabana then he decide to divorce the wife! “Umuntu ngaleka ubupatili balapena”no wonder you can get along na Ka Frank Bwalya because all of you are mad! Failed Priests!!

  10. Of all this hatred, bitterness frustrations, what is the solution then at the moment? if the only solution I think is the vote in 2016, let us stop insulting, complaining and help at least someone within our reach that we can help. If you have a K500 give to someone and let that person buy bags of mealie meal and start a small business or some bags of charcoal and start a business too until that time. If 100 of us can do that in our areas, at least we could have helped about 500 people. This is to take into consideration that the family has 5 people at most.
